MSNBC Anchor’s Odd Monologue on Families: ‘Even Jesus Was Born To An Un-Wed Mom & Raised By A Doting Stepfather’

MSNBC weekend host Melissa Harris Perry used Jesus Christ and his mother as examples of alternative family lifestyles on her Saturday show — an example that is sure to grab the attention of those of faith.

Perry lamented the American tradition of valuing “one kind of family over all others, married couples.” Β In making her point that many variations of families exist in America and they should have equal access toΒ marriageΒ benefits, Perry made the interesting statement that “even Jesus was born to an un-wed mom and raised by a doting stepfather.”

The show then launched into clips of Hollywood’s different depictions of families. You can watch the segment below:

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

Once again the liberals attempt to appear Christian just shows how utterly ignorant of Scriptures really are.

This person will be utterly shocked when the resurrection/rapture takes place before their very eyes http://youtu.be/ahEVxIzlxwo

We real Christians need to be spreading the REAL gospel Romans 10:9-10 and making AFTER RAPTURE PACKETS for a left behind world

I could care less if someone is married to another gay or straight. If they are good parents then that’s a sight better than the child being raised by the government. We see what a great job they do.

A family can be 1 or 2 parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, sibling and a child / children whether biological or not.
Heck a family can also be a platoon during a deployment.

It is not up to us to judge or create laws that force our beliefs on others. I believe that most of you would refer to those kind of laws as sharia law if it was Islam.

β€œFree Will” is not just a passing comment it is part of what makes Christianity special and loving because you chose to love christ. Love can not be forced.

Before you all start calling me names watch this clip to understand my stance:
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6et2ZSodS0g

Although I do not like his political stance I still hope God is just like Morgan Freeman in Bruce Almighty. I know it’s just a movie but it is a very strong message to people of Christian faith. God seems to get his message through even if it’s not intended by its author.

Have a blessed day and take advantage of your days because life is short and hate destroys life.

Are you on crazy pills? What’s the matter with you? After rapture packets? Really? Has it ever occurred to you whilst planted behind your computer in your dirty little apartment that printing off nonsense and stuffing it into “rapture packets” perhaps isn’t the best utlization of your time? I’m not trying to be mean but Rapture, you need to take a good hard look at yourself — your acting completely ridiculous. Take a shower, cut your hair, buy some nice clothes and join us in reality. I don’t know what went sideways in your life to lead you down this path but for the love of decency, get a life and become a productive member of society.

When Mary and Joseph were engaged, it was as good as married in that time in history. They were married when Jesus was born. I believe Jesus said in scripture that a man is to marry one woman and vice versa. A man is to leave his mother and father and become one with his wife. It seems to be the liberals who want to change what the Bible says.

You are correct and we can correct others words. The problem comes when we judge them or hate them. Lead by example and more will follow. Lead by force and many will disobey.

The reason why I do this has more than one component.

      (1) I try and LINK to my video ‘Make your own AFTER RAPTURE PACKETS’ once in each subject blog

      (2) Each time I do this I reach a new reader or commenter both saved and unsaved.

      (3) Each AFTER RAPTURE PACKET has a bible and articles dealing with what will take place prophetically speaking after the soon to come resurrection/rapture takes place 1 Thes 4:13-18 & 1 Cor 15:50-55, Rev 3:10

I also stress the importance of spreading the gospel Romans 10:9-10 with what time remains before the resurrection/rapture

I do this once per blog because there are always new readers of the blog and comments. I can think of no better way to reach the lost and the saved in one place

By all means follow the link and watch the video for yourself.

I am a serious student of the bible (God breathed Scriptures) and study in great depth ESCHATOLOGY or better known as the STUDY OF END TIMES.

The bible is 1/3 PROPHECY and to date is 100 percent accurate. Just take a look at your news and what you see is Isaiah 17:1, Isaiah 19, Zech 12, Psalm 83, Ezekiel 38 & 39 all setting up for fulfillment.

A part of that ESCHATOLOGY is the resurrection/rapture of which Christ is the first fruit 1 Thes 4:13-18, 1 Cor 15:50-55, Rev 3:10

This is what is going to take place next in Gods prophecies. From the resurrection/rapture and the wars to come utter chaos will be what ushers in the anti christ.

Israel is the key and those that saw the rebirth of Israel in one days (just as prophesied) in 1948 will be the same generation to see the 2nd advent of Christ.

Israel is now 64 years old and a biblical generation is 70 years and 80 if the person is strong in the body.

We are in the season, read and understand Romans 10:9-10 & John 3:18 and believe upon Christ before it is to late

      Odd name…
Anyway I never said God could not judge, which Jesus was and is. This would give no meaning to judgment day.
However it is not for us to judge yet we be judged. So I am just trying to lead by example.
BTW you have every right to judge “Free Will”.

Example: I am not judging you by your user name correct? I am just sharing my take on the situation.
I do not like what is happening to our country but I find more peace in peace than I find peace in judging others.
This does not mean that I should not have decerment. Also I have said many things on here in the past (different username) that I should not have and you have the right to judge me as you wish.

The institution of marriage was ordained by God in the beginning.

Just because, over the course of time, there were groups who got it wrong and lived lives that are not in accordance with God’s laws do not make them examples of how things used to be.

There is an ideal way to live. God is the author of this ideal. The closer you live to the ideal, the better your life and society will be.

We all make mistakes and stumble; that is were forgiveness and tolerance come in.

The problem is, we no longer teach, let alone try to live up to the ideal because it ‘hurts peoples’ feelings’. We have become to afraid to voice our opinion due to fear of being labeled ‘racist’, or ‘homophobe’, or just plain cold-hearted. No more!!

If the Left is so in love with science, then it should be promoting traditional families as all the studies show this is the lifestyle that promotes the best environment for raising happy, healthy human beings.

I am saying that inter-generational learning has taught us that the man-woman relationship works best… that it’s unique… and that the others just don’t rise to the point of being protected, embraced, or legitimized by society. A stable family unit does not need government, and is more likely to reject its massive intrusion into everyday life and the suffocation of freedom that has already occurred. The Fascist sycophantic supporters of the regime must support the abnormal, the deranged, and the twisted to aid in furthering the power of the State. All things stem from the deification of the State. Religion also offers succor outside the state so along with the family, religious organizations must be undermined as well, if not first.

      Absolutely:

Jesus was born to an unwed, VIRGIN mother, and raised by a caring step-father. His matter of birth marked him as being ‘the lowest of the low’ in the eyes of most of Judaism, and thus ensured one more portion of his journey doing the Fathers work on earth would center on the life he lived and the message of salvation and redemption given unto the world.

This is the difference people like at MSNBC fails to grasp: Obama is not a god or a messiah, he is a man, who has a growing cult-of-personality that will end in madness, blood and fire. Obama worship centers on Obama, and his madness consumes all, blinding them to the darkness before them.

With Jesus, it is the message, and the source of authority and power behind the message and the messenger (Jesus) that matters.

At first I thought, “at least she acknowledges Jesus”. Then I listened and her tone totally changes when she says it…sort of like you might say “Winnie-the- Pooh and Piglet were family”. Even the part about the 2 parent, married before kids family had a slightly disparaging tone that changed when she started to talk about all the other wonderful family options. While I didn’t give this any merit prior to viewing it, I am now sure that I will never give this woman one second of my time. Her opinions are shallow and boring. Anyone can spout popular group-think.

Melissa Harris-Perry a feminist who is so into herself she can’t be bothered to take her husbands name singly, assuming she is married. She does not want to lose her identify so much she is not willing to take just her husbands name. This is an insult against her husband. She is saying you are not good enough for me to just use your name in my married name.

Any woman who uses a hyphenated name has issues with her identity. This applies to some men, I have seen a few men with hyphenated names also.

      @ DoseofReality

Actually you need to do some thinking. Cofemale is correct in his assessment. If you don’t wish to take your partner’s name is shows a lack of true commitment. I know men who have taken the name of their spouse just to be different. Taking your partner’s name is a sign of acceptance and commitment to them. It doesn’t matter which one takes the name. The act of doing so means something. this woman is so threatened by simply taking her husband’s name that she has to hyphenate it. That’s pretty sad.

Searcher – look into many other cultures – they do it very differently than the typical western way of taking the husbands name. Its her decision, what do you care? Times are a changing……

Searcher – I dont think thats sad, i think its sad that you and Cofemale are so inscecure in your own masculinity that the simple fact that some woman who you dont know chooses to hyphenate her name has brouight you out from whatever hole you live in to actually make a comment and come down on her for doing so. live and let live – its not bothering you.

wait! i was thinking about well almost the same thing many years ago when i questioned why black americans take on this african american title. Is it because they are not sure who they identify wityh? africa? or america? really i am no0t trying to be a smart*** im just wondering why , especially if one is born in the usa, they would call themselves african-americans?

It’s not an American tradition of valuing married families over unmarried – it’s more like natural selection. Married couples are traditionally, over centuries, more stable and longer-lasting than unmarried, and therefore less-committed, relationships (although liberal policies are doing their best to undermine that and destroy this traditional family). The children of two-parent, married families grow up with more resources and more extended family support, and are more likely to succeed in life. This woman is ignorant…but, of course, we know that already.

Mrs. Perry should read the rest of the story before she starts drawing comparisons. Another brilliant spoonfed propogandist. I hope they are paying her big bucks to look this stupid!

Melissa Harris Perry said this just to inflame Christian and for no other reason. She can mock the Father and Mother, she will get her just reward when the time comes. Anything that comes out of the mouths of “news” (and I use this term lightly”) anchors on MSNBC I attribute to out of the mouth of Satan.

You would think they would get a clue when Microsoft pulled out of their TV partnership. When Bill Gates thinks you are bad ju ju, that should be a wake up call. But we are dealing with clueless morons, so I do not expect any miracles to emanate from their followers nor the anchors.

Pay Melissa no mind, she is a loser in life anyway.

Julia is a single mom and knows how to use Obozo’s big government select entitlements get’s special treatment. A single mom with 3 kids makes more than a working person making 70K per year.

Obozo supporter Melissa Harris Perry is/will be on the Obozo administration’s liar payroll.

The only thing worse than Iran chairing the UN’s human right’s council, is a liberal atheist trying to talk about the Bible.

Oh…Gee I thought liberals and atheists were biblical scholars, what with their obvious expert knowledge of the Bible’s origins, structure, messages and nuances. And all this time I was sure they were just trying to give us unbiased theological advice based on their vast expertise…wow. I’m stunned!

This biotch is an idiot…but so is everyone else at mslsd.

I have no problem with the comparison. I even welcome it. I would also use it to show that all kinds of families can make it on their own without government handouts. This is an argument to end welfare, Jesus had none.

Melissa thinks that the Wizard Of Oz is real and she’s hoping the Wizard will gift her a brain. Her ridiculously stupid statements are her crying out for help. Wow, does she need it! Unfortuneately she’s going to be pretty much heartbroken when she finds out ‘The Wizard of Oz’ is only a movie. Please everyone send her a roll of toilet paper. She needs to wipe out that huge skid mark between her ears.
