NASCAR Fans + Bill O’Reilly Segment = You’ll Be a Little Surprised

If I asked you to blurt out which way NASCAR fans lean politically, it would probably take you all of one millisecond to scream “conservative!” That’s because the perception is that those fans generally are the “guns and religion” type so famously mocked by the president in 2008. So if I told you that Bill O’Reilly sent his producer to a recent NASCAR race to talk politics and the responses he got were not entirely what you might have expected, would you be a little surprised?

Sure there were plenty of comments you’d expect. But there were also a few that you wouldn’t.

    a war on stupidity.

If we took all of the stupid people out of the voting pool this year, Obama would have gotten about 30% of the popular vote. The other 20% of his voting base don’t know the issues or even care.

I can see some NASCAR fans as not knowing about Benghazi. Danica Patrick thinks Bronco ‘Bama’s health care plan is a good idea. Still, the media has done thins kind of thing in the past as well. It hasn’t always worked out. The last one I remember was attempted by NBC News in 2006. It was at one of the Martinsville races that NBC’s Dateline program was hoping to bait fans into making insensitive remarks to the Muslim / Arab people it had planted at the track. It didn’t work. NBC didn’t even deny it. They just covered it up. Odd, they actually created a news story that was compelling and the result was the truth, but the truth isn’t what the media wants. At least not NBC’s Dateline. They took a pretty compelling story that led to the truth and buried it, because they could not use it for propaganda. I’m sure they’ve learned their lesson. Next time, don’t just plan the bait, plant the actors to play the roles you want to pretend are real to support the story. Then you can by-pass the the unpleasantness of actually having to the face the real truth. Personally liked NASCAR more a few years ago. It seems to have changed. Still, I went to the Brickyard this year and was in a Gasoline Alley suite above Stremmie’s pit. Actually, I saw all three races that weekend. It was awesome!

Hey, J. You might want to consider coming out of the jungle to broaden your horizons and meet some people. Especially since you’ll probably end up living in the south (NASCAR heaven) where all of your neighbors are relocating. You’ll find you, yourself, have become a stereotype as you ‘follow the herd’ with your opinion. After you figure that out, You’ll then realize the biggest difference between NASCAR fans and people like you is the fans have the technological knowledge and the courage to enjoy living on the edge.

NASCAR, a multi-billion dollar industry that evolved from the days of moonshiners. Now that’s capitalism in its purest form. You think they’re dumb as heck, but during the depression it was those people who were making the money instead of standing in bread lines. I by no means am a NASCAR fan and never even watched one race. But I was an autobody tech for years, and do know that when you mix fast cars, women in swimsuits & heels, and beer, you get money every time….

Showing off those women in skimpy outfits, nylons, and heels, is sexist?? 1) Only ugly chicks say that. 2) I’d like to have their paycheck for just ONE race.

I hope that Jesse was intentionally choosing fans who were obviously less than informed about any subject.

it is amazing and wonderful that people with so little knowledge are able to do so well in this country, and attests to the nation’s greatness…

it is also a harbinger of the grim future if our nation’s education system is so weak, after only 2 decades chasing ‘unbiased’ standardized test results, that so few people know about issues that have been raised to national import.

the surreptitious undermining of the nation’s schools, coopting Republicans out of a misconceived concern that people were being ‘left behind’ has been key to the Democrat’s success, because uneducated or illeducated people are more likely to need Federal support and to be easily duped by the political machine and it’s Leftist propaganda arm, the MSM (can you say war on women?).

I am left wondering if the Dem’s really want total control of a socialist state bereft of Capitalist innovation and windfall profit, their subjects the literal unwashed, unknowing masses? Such a nation cannot long stand, and such a nation would betray the utter idiocy of their vaunted policies and opinions, which survive only so long as the real Capitalism continues to funnel funds for their ill conceived social experiments.

The very second O’Reilly’s name is mentioned you should think ‘spin job’. The man couldn’t find a fact in a library. He’s a paid shill for the wealthy, and will continue to push their agenda for power and profit. Period.

Why not show the more accurate link to NASCAR and under-educated and overly religious states? That’s a far more accurate and honest link.

NASCAR is for people who just don’t really like engaging their brain. It’s an incalculable waste of natural resources.

Bounce a ball, run down the other side of the court, hey here’s a tv show about how I met your mother, sit in a frozen seat, drinking beer, cheering like lunatics.
Check the difference between the team members and the fans- hmm- doesn’t exactly seem like the teams are representative of the area’s demographics.

There only certain American citizens that follow NASCAR, and of the ones that I have met, most

lack a good education to make themselves competitive in today’s market, and therefore, more

than likely, most NASCAR followers are welfare recipients whom spend the tax payers dollars on

the race, instead of purchasing food their families. Need a say more? Followers of F-1 (Formula-1)

appear to be more educated and maintain employment positions that prevent them from drawing

Welfare Checks from the government. In other words, NASCAR is a poor man’s type of

entertainment, while Formula One is not. It is here that we separate the men from the boys, the

There is only one American sport left: America’s national past-time: “BASE BALL.” The worst

is NASCAR. Match the education level of the customers that view various sports and you will

discover that America’s education levels, match the sport that they are interested in. And now you

know the rest of the story. Therefore, is it any wonder that these same uneducated Americans,

voted for the Moron that currently resides in the White House, if you follow. That is how low and

dependent Americans are dependent on the Federal Government to come to their rescue each month

with their Welfare Checks, is there a beer in the fridge and is there a babe in their beds; that is the

now, “AMERICAN DREAM.” As long as the Moron that currently resides in the White House

depends on the “FREE STUFF,” followers of NASCAR will vote for the Communistic Democrats, if

you follow. A military COUP is required to take back our country from the POS that currently resides

in the White House and the Nazi collaborator, George Soros. Anything connected to the Moron

It’s all in how you phrase a question as to the response you get.
Ask…”do you believe in the right to own guns so you could protect yourself”, and these people would overwhelmingly say “yes”!
Ask…”was George Zimmerman justified in shooting his attacker in Florida” and even those who knew of the incident would give very conflicting answers.
It still concerns being able to protect yourself with a gun, and Florida law gave Zimmerman the right to do what he did. People just will not be able to rationalize the issue to give an intelligent answer.
Obama ‘did’ just get re-elected, did he not!
