Egyptian Court Sentences American Pastor Terry Jones to Death Over Anti-Muhammad Video

Egyptian Court Sentences 8 Coptic Christians to Death Over Anti Muhammad Video

(AP)

CAIRO (TheBlaze/AP) — An Egyptian court has convicted in absentia seven Egyptian Coptic Christians and a Florida-based American pastor and sentenced them to death on charges linked to an anti-Islam film that had sparked riots in parts of the Muslim world.

Egypt’s official news agency said the court found the defendants guilty Wednesday of harming national unity, insulting and publicly attacking Islam, and spreading false information. The charges carry the death sentence in Egypt.

The case was largely symbolic since the seven men and one woman are outside of Egypt and unlikely to travel to the country to face the charges. The trial was seen as an attempt to absorb public anger over the film, which portrays the Prophet Muhammad as a fraud, womanizer and buffoon.

    This seems cause enough to classify all Muslims in America as enemy combatants and as such, we the people, confiscate all their land, money, homes, bank accounts (here and overseas), and kick them the heck out of the USA.

      I agree for the most part. Most of them are here to only cause trouble.

      Also God has sentenced those to hell who are wanting to kill the strange pastor. Those hypocrits and that hypocrit Mohammed they are trying to force down peoples’ throats deserve hell. Hell will be full of those Islamists playing like that perv they worship is God. They know better. It is no more than an agenda used on the ignorant over there to gain control of peoples’ wealth and resourses. Most of them over there cannot even write. Now over here they are trying to get out of teaching children cursive writing like everyone is going to be typing the rest of their lives. That is proving to be another move by the left to dumb students down.

    Jones, a righteous person; has the stones to be accountable, do the right thing, and face the Muslim Brotherhood court. Never forget that PEOPLE WERE MURDERED. The repeated claim that the attack was spontaneous and grew out of a demonstration against Terry Jones anti-Islam videotapes — a claim made as they stood next to the bodies of four dead Americans — was a monstrous lie. It was vile and done for the basest of reasons. So it makes sense that Jones will be TRIUMPHANT.

    “public anger over the film, which portrays the Prophet Muhammad as a fraud, womanizer and buffoon.”

    Well he is a womanizer, rapist, and pedophile. One could assume he is a buffoon. Whether he is a fraud or not is up for debate. Muslims feel he is a prophet, but I have no proof of that. One would think all the prophets would be appointed at the time of Abraham. I think Muhammad is more a self-appointed prophet. I mean really, would God be cool with raping a 9 year old child regardless of whether you made her your wife. The child is under the age of consent.

      Yes. They were sinners. That’s why we don’t worship them. We worship Jesus, who was sinless. Every man in the Bible outside of Joseph the son of Jacob and Christ Himself has a character flaw mentioned of them. I believe it’s one the best validations of the Bible. If you were going to make it up, you wouldn’t add all of these bad things about your heroes of the faith.

      And Sarah was Abraham’s half sister (which was is forbidden in Jewish Law Deut 27:22) Abraham lied to pharaoh about it being his sister and not his wife.

      What character flaw did John the Baptist have? Jesus said this about John the Baptist: Matthew 11:11 Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist;

      (2) What Character flaw did Zachariah and Elizabeth, the parents of John the Baptist have?

      (3) What character flaw did Mary the mother of Jesus have? The Bible says she was sinless.

      (4) Abraham called Sarah his sister, that’s good enough for me.

      Reread your bible. Mary the mother of Jesus was not sinless, rather she had favor with God. Only one man was and ever will be sinless and that is Christ.

      You most certainly do worship Mohammad and you worship that meteorite in Mecca. If you didn’t worship these things, criticize of them would not matter. Come on! one of your pillars in Islam is to go worship a rock. Question: If a bomb goes off in Makkah and destroys your little rock…..how would you hajj (worship)? So do give me this crap that you don’t worship a rock!

      There’s know use in trying to explain Islam to you, because you already have your preconceived ideas about it. The Kaaba stone will never be destroyed because it is protected by God and God is the only entity deserving of worship, not the Kaaba.

      SIRHANSIRHAN- You have some odd logic. Are you saying that Mary, Zachariah, and Elizabeth never sinned because their sins weren’t mentioned in the Bible? Even though the Bible teaches that we are ALL sinners? By that logic, since Muhammad wasn’t even mentioned at all in the Bible that would mean that he wasn’t a prophet. And since the Bible says all are sinners then that means Muhammad wasn’t sinless. Is that what you are trying to say?

      All the verses stating that Sarah was related to Abraham are Abraham himself saying those words. There is no genealogy given stating that Sarah was the daughter of Terah. One explanation Jewish sages (who were well aware of all the confusing parts of the Bible well before you were born) have put forward is that Sarah is Abraham’s niece (also named Iscah who is briefly mentioned in Genesis 11), which would make her Terah’s granddaughter. The same passage also explains Nachor (Abraham’s brother) also married his niece, Milcah, whose father Haran passed away young. (Uncle-niece marriages aren’t illegal under Biblical law).

      On a side note, you are the second user (the first being surhansurhan with whom you share a lot), to choose the name of a radical Christian Arab assassin to be known by. I find that to be highly revealing.

      @ CAIN13- Here’s the odd logic. If the word “ALL” means all, then Jesus must have sinned too because the Bible says “ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Now, tell me, does the word “ALL” not mean “ALL”?

      Prophet Muhammad is mentioned in the Old/New Testament however, you and others, have been told he is not mentioned. He is mentioned by his title not by his proper name. If you read the Old Testament you will see that Jesus is not mentioned by his proper name, he is mentioned by his title “Messiah”, but the word “Messiah” is not a name it is a title. Jesus is mentioned by name in the New Testament because this testament talks about his life while he was on earth, after he was no longer on earth.

      Prophet Muhammad is mentioned in the Old Testament as well as the New Testament. Now he is mentioned by his proper name in the Final Testament, the Holy Qur’an.

      Surhan is practicing replacement theology. His claim of this “title” or mention of Muhammad in the new testament is the Holy Spirit and Pentecost. He is claiming that the Holy Spirit is Muhammad.

      @Surhan
      As for the word “all” the book of Romans. The book of Romans is a collection of letters written by St Paul to the Christians living in Rome. The word “all” is St Paul speaking to the recipient of the letters. Also, Christ IS God as a human (therefore sinless), not a prophet as Islam believes. This is where you are having difficulty with the word “all”, you are reading it out of context by believing Christ to be a prophet.

      @ THE_POINTY_END- Did Jesus ever claim to be God? Did Jesus ever say that he and God are one in the same? Did Jesus ever say I am God or worship me?

      Not only is Prophet Muhammad the Holy Spirit that the New Testament speaks of, he is also known as the Spirit of Truth as well. If you apply the description of the Holy Spirit/Spirit of Truth/Comforter that the New Testament speaks about, you will see that the Prophet fits that description like a hand fits a glove.

      Here is what the Old Testament has to say about Prophet Muhammad:

      Deuteronomy 18:18-19 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

      19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

      English is your first language. In English, does the word “ALL” mean “ALL” or does it mean some?

    Christians need to stand up and stand together. We do not need to Insult Islam.

    This pastor is an idiot in the highest form and I doubt the sincerity of his faith in Christ. He is the buffoon, wise only in his own mind accepting world glory. God will prove him to be a fool, though he has done a good job of that on his own.

    Pastors need to equip Christian’s in proper Apologetics. There is an overwhelming amount of tangible evidence supporting the Christian faith to turn even the most ignorant to it.

    Unfortunately most Christians aren’t aware of this evidence and don’t receive information on it from their local churches.

    My atheist friends insulted me enough to force me into further examination and do my own due diligence. No amount of evidence though at the end of the day will make them believe. Ultimately it is a choice. Hard core evidence exists in “EVIDENCE DEMANDS A VERDICT” BY JOSH MCDOWELL. Written by a scholar for scholars by an atheist, who, against his own intellectual insults eventually accepted the truth as ABSOLUTE!

    Fool Proof Evidence alone won’t change anyone who chooses to live in denial, live against the spirit or continue a perverted path. Just ask O.J. Simpson, the Department of Justice or the White House, Hollywood, etc….

    It will prepare the uninformed Christian to stand on his faith with credibility and sound intelligent at the same time. That is hard to find and a reason Christianity has lost its ground!

Look at every single country they move into, they don’t integrate, they have their own schools and when their numbers are great enough publicly start to force their way. Dearborn Michigan anyone?

    So egyptian courts spend their time and money on prosecuting people who don’t live there? There courts will be quite busy since there are a whole lot of anti-islam people.

    Not to worry, Obama will give Terry Jones a pardon. Well, come to think of it probably not until Obama rises to his rightful position and becomes president / czar / dictator / master (chose one) of the world.

      @Jerk
      And how do you identify these “zionists”? Go up to every Jew and unless they immediately denounce Israel as a terrorist nation you’ll deport them? Sounds like the Spanish Inquisition to me.

    Fine – then we find them guilty of terrorism. Expect Obama to hand over the good Pastor in a heartbeat

    A wealthy Saudi Sheik who wants to trade a few million dollars for being an absolute hero to all the muslims of the Middle East could hire a few “experts” to kidnap the pastor one night and get him on a private jet to Egypt.

    The Egyptian government could dangle this pastor at the State Department for months gaining concessions to avoid his very public execution, or if the US doesn’t play along go through with the execution and gain even more fame.

    It’s a total win-win for Egypt. This pastor needs protection in my opinion.

      Why would the State Dept. give anything for the Pastor? They sure as @ell didn’t give a #amn for our Americans or embassy in Libya.
