Graphic Footage: The Moment a Woman Snaps Her Limb in an Arm-Wrestling Match
Arm-wrestling, like many contact sports, is all fun and games until someone gets hurt.
Megan Weber (alter ego Rogue Scout), a 31-year-old physical therapist from Lewes, Del., and Sarah White (Sweet Treats) were all smiles as they gripped hands at the Delaware Arm Wrestling Lady League, which raises money for women’s issues, according to Delaware Online.

Rogue Scout (Weber) even won against Sweet Treats during the right-handed portion of the competition.

Switching to the left hand, the ladies struggled with gritted teeth before Weber’s arm bent in defeat — literally. White had accidentally snapped Weber’s arm. And a video captured the gut-wrenching scene.

Watch the footage (Warning: The footage might be considered disturbing):
Delaware Online reported Weber saying that while she’ll support women who want to compete, she doesn’t think she’ll be arm-wrestling again.
“I really don’t think it’s a dangerous thing. It was just one of those freak things. I think one time was enough for me,” she said according to the website.

Posted on November 28, 2012 at 2:13pmArm Wrestling is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen… It doesn’t prove anything… Just that your dumb enough to risk your own health to “prove” god knows what to others..
Was this a fluke?? No… To quote a classic:
“When an irresistible force such as you
Meets an old immovable object like me
You can bet just as sure as you live
Somethin’s gotta give
Somethin’s gotta give
Somethin’s gotta give”
And give it did….

Posted on November 29, 2012 at 12:20amIt’s a sport with injuries like football, jogging, boxing, tennis….It’s also a betting event…Arm breakage is not a freak event in arm wrestling…I’ve seen it several times in Monster Arm Wrestling…….Arm to arm like these girls are doing it occurs even more frequently

Posted on November 28, 2012 at 2:10pmBasially I think the whole muscle thing depends upon bone structure, estrogen or hormones, etc. Anyway this muscle will not be in women as strong for as long. Now there are some things they could take…. anyhoo, who really cares? Lol. Tear ‘em arms off girls. That will look good when you go on a date or trying to hold your babies. ‘Jes tear ‘em off good.’

Posted on November 28, 2012 at 1:29pmafter seeing someone break their arm doing this and having a good friend just about tear my ligament I stopped going 100% when arm wresting. It is just a matter of physics and physical strength at some point the arm breaks.

I’ve seen pro football players break bones arm wrestling each other, too.

Posted on November 28, 2012 at 6:17pmYeah it’s a woman thing, and I would not be at all surprised if a longitudinal study discovered a link between birth-control, bone loss and arm wrestling arm breaks in women. Not to say women are not strong naturally, it would seem by natural standards women would have very strong bone structure as they being the only ones capable of gestating a child would need to be able to protect that child to some degree. I would say diet, medicine and environmental factors such as mineral content in the water not to mention lack of regular “impact” or “vibration” that causes the strengthening of bones. Nasa Already proved this issue related to impact and bone loss in astronauts, typing at a keyboard is not as effective as chopping, mincing, grinding and hammering at building bone strength in the arms. The good news is that it only takes a few months to build up bone strength, so to anyone out there you must train or you will break yourself.

Posted on November 28, 2012 at 12:26pmWomen are not normally built for this male activity. Why do they not be who they are? Maybe flipping a few pancakes would strengthen that arm. Women trying to act like guys? It is silly. I am sorry about her arm, but women are not built to be guys. Those who go out of their way to play like guys should know in a few years, all that muscle will turn to ugly and fat. Play ON girls.

Posted on November 28, 2012 at 1:23pmPerhaps I need to draw a picture? Perhaps I should have said the muscle will be replaced by fat. Women do not have the muscle tissue men do. The women age differently because of this. I think you know what I meant. However it was important to you to say your piece, so say away.
