Watch These Crazy Efficient Romanians Sort Through Pallets of Empty Beer Bottles

When we say “crazy efficient,” we’re not kidding. The following video looks like something straight out of an old-timey Looney Tunes cartoon:

“Group of Romanian warehouse workers quickly sort through a massive collection of tall pallets filled with crates of empty beer bottles,” reads the video’s description.

“Now that’s efficiency!” it adds.

Final Thought — Other than having what looks like a phenomenal work ethic, it’s pretty clear why these guys are working so furiously to sort through stacks of empty beer bottles: They need to be refilled ASAP.

Reminds me of work details I organized and participated in on the USS Enterprise in the early 70′s. We manhandled 5,000 cases of pop every other week or so while deployed overseas. Fun for the first twenty minutes and then it felt like I was dropped in to an episode of The Twilight Zone due to monotony and exhaustion. These guys are TOUGH!!

The odd part is, the guy filming makes a comment (essentially) that says, “This is how they work in Germany!” then a lot of “force! force!” (i.e. put your backs into it!)… then some off-colored (f-word derived) “encouragement.”

This also shows how in many countries, RE-FILLING bottles is the norm. The beer or soda is REALLY CHEAP if you do not take the glass bottle. When I was last there, a 1 litre coca-cola was about $5 if I wanted the bottle (super thick and heavy, so I did keep it), but only about $0.50 if I drank it “there” at the vendor.

It’s normal for the families to bring their cases of empties when they buy new ones, thus getting just the cost of the beer. And they all buy it by the case.

  In a US union shop they would fairly rotate the work effort. Two men would sling the empty cases while two others rested. The same with the lift driver. His back-up was off screen waiting. This way no one need to break a sweat and besides, there is always tomorrow.

  Haha, obviously CLOUVIERE is too unstoned and (and therefore too smart) to understand the intent of your comment. Intolerance is an enemy of liberty. Marijuana has less effect on the body than sugar and and less addictive than caffeine. I does not make you stupid such as regurgitating anti-marijuana propaganda with no evidence or personal experience to back up those claims does. The point is, crappy jobs are more tolerable when stoned on marijuana. Someone in a better mood, tends to be safer and more efficient. I’ve been on crews that would blow these guys away and the only reason we showed up for work is BECAUSE we could catch a buzz. Marijuana doesn’t make you lose your job, it keeps you working there. Pot does not create liberals, that’s nonsense. It creates docile healthy slaves that show up for work. Those who work for their money become conservative. In other words, marijuana creates conservatives. Neo-cons locking them up for getting high creates liberals and criminals leading to an anti-repubilcan movement.
