‘Real News:’ Obama Initial Debt Deal Offer More Like Democrat Wish List
The Obama administration’s initial offer on a debt deal before the looming Fiscal Cliff has left the right and main stream media laughing. The “wish list,” as it is most kindly put, includes $1.6 trillion in tax increases, very vague references to spending cuts that maybe will happen later, and a total elimination of the debt ceiling. The offer was immediately panned by Republicans.
“No substantive progress has been made between the White House and the House in the last two weeks,” House Speaker John Boehner said Thursday.
In presenting the proposal, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner requested a permanent end to the debt ceiling, even though the debt ceiling is not part of the larger Fiscal Cliff but is something that will likely come to the political forefront again in the immediate future. Democrats want to eliminate the debate and debt limit now as part of what they call overall a “grand bargain.”
On “Real News” Friday the panel discussed the more noticeable points of the president’s Fiscal Cliff wish list, including the debt ceiling request. Watch a clip from the show below:

Posted on December 1, 2012 at 10:26amIf Obama would stop his tour of the states and his crying on the shoulders of taxpayers and sit down and LISTEN to some other ideas there may be a solution. But,he has to run around the country and do his community organizing act. If he doesn’t know what to do, he should say so. I hope that all of those who voted for this clown get what they deserve.

Posted on December 1, 2012 at 7:29amThis SHOULD be obvious to those who are aware of all factors involved in the economy. The Games that “elected” leaders have been using to keep the fedgov. going have all been used up. Now there is nothing left but Money Printing.
The Economy is going to Crash, no way to stop it. Obama NEEDS a deadlock to be able to destroy and Blame someone, anyone (The Repubs mainly) for the coming Bad Times. No matter what the Repubs do, it’ll be blamed on them.
The Chess Game that Lawyers (and politicians) love to play is to get the opposition into the position where any way they move, they Lose. It’s there now.

Posted on November 30, 2012 at 9:32pmThis is yet ANOTHER Obama smack to the Republicans.
In a meeting or discussion about CUTTING SPENDING…
HE ASK FOR MORE MONEY TO SPEND?
He’s an arrogant sob, huh?
Like I’ve been saying, Obama has NEVER been about Jobs, Economy or
ANYTHING THAT MIGHT IMPROVE OUR ECONOMIC PROBLEMS.
He WANTS this so-called fiscal cliff to happen to BLAME THE REPS.
He’s out hustling the people again – saying “The PEOPLE agree with ME”…
which is another lie. He sold his Voters LIES and they FELL FOR IT AGAIN.
But..they voted FOR him based on HIS LIES.
God Help Us All.
This madness has GOT TO STOP.

Posted on November 30, 2012 at 8:25pmThe Tea Party Members in the congress should walk away and vote present .. The RINOs won’t have enough votes and so this will be a democrat issue. Republicans must figure out a way that they won’t be blamed, and at this time Vote present or call in sick that day, best vote present..

Posted on November 30, 2012 at 7:56pmNo matter what happens, Republicans are going to get the blame, so they need to simply walk away and let the Bush tax cuts expire, sequestration cuts take effect, and demand substantially more cuts BEFORE any vote on a debt ceiling increase. The initial effect on the economy would be ugly, but would put us in a position to at least begin to deal with the deficit and the debt. But, being the gutless wonders they are and have time and again proven themselves to be, Republicans will cave to some sort of ‘deal’ that will do nothing in real terms for either the deficit or the debt. Anything less will probably guarantee a loss of the House in 2014 for the gutless wonders.

Posted on November 30, 2012 at 7:33pmAmericans in the house just impeach the POS,it’ll die in the senate but do it anyway,he doesn’t want a debt deal he wants taxmageddon because there’s nothing like confiscatory taxes to get a progressive POS off. There has to be one real journalist out there to get the dirt on that POS and get him thrown out of office and hopefully in prison where the POS heathen belongs. The Nobel peace prize is waiting, hell take the Marxist POS’s he didn’t build that anyway.

Posted on November 30, 2012 at 8:31pm1. No journalist will do it because it needs the YT and POST support and that will never happen.
2. Congress already does nothing why give them something more that nothing will be done through them. They don’t do anything but they do want their free stuff. Look at the Birther issue.
