White House: No Plans to Withdraw Palestinian Aid After U.N. Vote

There are no plans to withdraw aid to the Palestinian Authority following the United Nations vote to recognize Palestine as an independent state, a White House spokesman said Friday.
Josh Earnest told reporters traveling on Air Force One that the U.S. opposed the resolution to give the Palestinian Authority nonmember observer state status because the Israel-Palestinian conflict should be resolved “only through face-to-face negotiations, not unilateral actions,” according to the White House pool report.
A bipartisan group of senators had threatened to cut off millions in U.S. financial aid to the Palestinians if the vote succeeded.
Earnest said there were no other consequences under consideration that he could discuss.
The U.S. was one of just nine nations to vote against the resolution Thursday, including Israel and Canada. There were 138 votes in favor of the Palestinian push, with 41 abstentions.
After the vote, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton blasted the move as “unfortunate and counterproductive” and reiterated that direct negotiations are the only way to achieve peace.

That’s what the British called it when they decided to give a portion to Zionists (their wording, not mine). Here, read it yourselves.

The history I studied, stated the Romans were the first to call the “land of Juda”, Palestine. Maybe you should do a little more research and not trust everything you read (as research) on the internet. The internet is one source but don’t believe everything on it. Try the library. Somthing you should also look up was the state of this area during the 1930′s and 1940′s. How many of them sided with Hitler and the NAZI party. Hatred for the Jews has a long history.

Posted on November 30, 2012 at 5:13pmI would cut off all foreign aid to all of the 134 nations that voted for it. And I would give a stern warning to the other 41 that abstained to mind their Ps and Qs the next time, and don’t bite the hands that feeds them. Otherwise the next time they cowardly weasel their way out of declaring themselves either pro or con, they’d have all aid cut off immediately too unless they voted with the US. Furthermore I’d shut down the US operations of the UN right now, punt all the rest of the sorry asses out, and demolish that on again off again mosque that’s near ground zero,. Build a swanky 20 story tower and house the 9 country’s delgations that voted with the US there.

The Palestinians will continue suicide bombings, rockets will launch, and the nations will continue to support murder. Jets will be hijacked, passenger ships will be hijacked, Jews and Christians will be murdered, and the nations will still take the side of murder. All that money will land in the hands of Hamas and other “hate groups”. Posted on November 30, 2012 at 3:07pmJudge people by their actions and NOT their talk. Everything this administration has done shows their support for a Palestinian nation. This garbage about them NOT supporting it is a lie. They took the lazy way out (they usually do) by voting NO for image knowing full well that the vote would be YES. This administration could have stopped the vote from ever happening by applying pressure in the right spots; particularly by letting Hamas and Fatah (Gaza and West Bank) know that ALL funding would cease. It was done by Bush Sr. 20 years ago, and COULD have been done by Imam Obama.
The fact that the vote even took place is proof that Barry supports this. So, regardless of whether you support the vote or not, understand the blatant lie coming from this administration. But that’s what they do best.

Posted on November 30, 2012 at 1:51pmTOTAL LIES. The land commonly known as Palestine (never was a country) was largely stolen by
Jordan and Lebanon…why don’t you go after Lebanon and/or Jordan? Palestinian Muslim Arabs WORK in Israel, dolt, and even serve on the Knesset. They can do anything they want to as long as it
doesn’t involve bringing BOMBS into Israel!! They have been encouraged for YEARS to develop their own MIAMI BEACH in GAZA. I’ve been there. Have you? They have great ocean-frontage but they spend all their time, our money waging war and trying to maintain power for their dopey Hamas (after dopey Arafat). It’s amazing what their future could be IF THEY STOP LOBBING 5400 ROCKETS into ISRAEL or strapping BOMBS onto their KIDS and sending them into Israel.
WHY DON’T you encourage THEM to do that. Quit with the one-sided, totally faux lies about the
big, bad Israelis — or do you like seeing entire generations of Palestinians live like groveling animals under the boots of their own military??? GROW UP.

We are trillions in debt and each one of us is told we owe $200,000+ to the FedGov (which I do not accept, but that’s what they tell me anyway). When the family household is not only broke but has maxed out credit cards whose interest payments can’t even be paid any longer, the last thing the family does is go out and give away large chunks of cash (well, technically credit) to other people.
Foreign aid has no Constitutional authorization that I’m aware of, and even if it did, we can not afford it. Ever damned red cent needs to stop going out of this nation into the coffers of other nations.

Posted on November 30, 2012 at 3:29pmWhat israel and the american gulls are up against is the fact that the world knows that israel is violating international laws by holding on to land illigally seized in the 67war. israel is illigally controlling gaza and hence the people of the world are justly siding with the native arabs-whose land was stolen. That is the sum of it. all arabs including hamas and iran have said they would now accept the original1948 borders. israel wants to hold on to land it is not entitled to by law. They are the tyrants and the people are resisting their tyrany. IThat an american from bklyn has the right-simply becaise he’s jewish- to take the home and land of a native arab is atrocious and tyranical. Posted on November 30, 2012 at 4:01pmRose-Ellen — What does “legal” and “illegal” have to do with anything? We are talking about the results of several wars. There is no law involved. Apparently you also forgot that Israel was not the aggressor in any of the wars in which they took those regions. They were attacked repeatedly, so they defended themselves, won, and seized the land areas so they would not be vulnerable to attacks from those areas again. That’s how you ensure peace, by defeating or deterring your enemy until they stop attacking you. Hamas and Iran have in their constitutions or charters the explicit total destruction of the state of Israel. So you are lying when you say that “all Arabs including Hamas and Iran” would accept the 1948 borders.

Posted on November 30, 2012 at 10:16pmof course it is about laws. it is illigal to acquire land through war. This has been the case since the UN charter was signed by member nations. And hamas and iran have indeedWhy do you think most nations say the same thing-thaty israel should go back to its legal pre 67 borders? because they are all immoral and unethicaland are all anti semites? The reality is they say it becaause that is the law-.And it is the law because it is just. That you can seize land through war is a might makes right ethos and has no place in the world of civilized nations. It is israel and the US that are rogue nations here-not the rest of the world. Your narrative that law is irrelevant is typical thuggish mentality and the world rejects it .ed said that they would now accept the legal pre 67 borders. The original borders of israel. saying that in war you can win and if you wind take more land-is illigal under international law. Hence the UN resolution242 states that israel is mandated to cease occupying adn cease building settlements on land that is not legally part of israel.
