Hate All This Talk About Raising Tax Rates? Here Are 15 Countries with No Income Taxes Whatsoever

On the table in today’s political debate is the concept of raising taxes on some, or even all Americans (should the fiscal cliff kick in).  If this bothers you, here are  eleven countries that you would (hopefully) never, ever have to worry about paying an income tax in.

Monaco has no income tax

Even if there aren’t income taxes, a national sales tax is way more fair than a confiscatory tax on wages and money you earn that actually discourages work. Our tax system is screwed and probably not even Constitutional. it is a fraud to help government and the people they serve:

Its soooooo funny how Beck, Limbaugh and the other hot talkers are begging Republican voters to get into a frenzy about taxes so that they don’t have to surrender any of their multimillionaire income. They trick the workingman into thinking that Wall Street and its Federal Reserve umbilical chord are capitalistic. HA.

Suddenly everybody is a socialist (a word they learned from a plumber who actually paid attention in his economics class), except for the actual socialists.

example: “I don’t want government healthcare, so get the government out of my medicare.”

Sales tax is an economic depression force. If it is leveraged by ITSELF, it is okay, meaning you take home what you earn and all programs are paid for by sales tax. This is actually the best way people can exert control over a government. If they feel it’s getting out of hand, they stop spending for a couple of months and the message gets through loud and clear.

Sales tax when coupled with other taxes (like Hermain Caine’s famous 9-9-9 plan) is actually a horrific idea. You get the worst of all worlds and there is no counter to the depression effect of the tax. There is also no ceiling that it can’t be raised to along with other taxes.

We should only have one form of taxation, this multiple stuff is part of why we are in this mess. The Goverments can game the system to their maximum benefit.

26 U.S.C. § 7806. Therefore, the actual statute commences with “There is hereby imposed .” The imposition of the tax is on taxable income, only, not on any person or entity. In contrast, see 26 U.S.C. § 884, discussed more fully infra, which does impose a tax on an entity. Subtitle A does, however, designate partners as liable for the taxes on income of a partnership, but only in their “individual” capacities 26 U.S.C. § 701 Foreign corporations are specifically designated as the party liable for payment of the Branch profits tax” imposed by 26 U.S.C. § 884 (which, incidentally, does impose the tax on “any foreign corporation).
      The only other party that is identified in the income tax law as liable for the payment of any income tax is revealed in 26 U.S.C. § 1461: Sec. 1461. Liability for withheld tax Every person required to deduct and withhold any tax under this chapter is hereby made liable for such tax and is hereby indemnified against the claims and demands of any person for the amount of any payments made in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.” “This chapter” “Chapter 3 – Withholding Tax on Nonresident Aliens and Foreign Corporations”. Thus the liable party in this instance is anyone withholding tax on nonresident aliens and foreign corporations. There are no other references in Subtitle A (the income tax law) to ANYONE being liable for the tax imposed by § 1 other than those: partners (but only in their “individual” capacity);

      @LONGKNIFED

Actually, since Nov 8 Rush has been consistently promoting and pushing the GOP to just back away and let Obama and the Dems do whatever they are gonna do without fighting them.
He asserts (and correctly so) that the Dems and Obama are going to do whatever they want anyway, so why not just back away and let them own it.

As for Beck, who knows what he is saying, I am not even sure he knows what he is saying.
Beck is so far behind the curve … 3-4 years behind the curve (IMO)

The big battle coming is not with the GOP and the DEMs … they are pretty much lockstep with each other. Any battling they do is just for theatre or distraction.
The big battle will be within the GOP … the Conservative vs. The Progressive wing of the GOP

Personally, I think this is the perfect time to absolve the GOP.
Beck was correct when he said the other day that the GOP is going the way of the Whig Party.

They want massive depopulation..and the UN has issued a report callied “Our Global Neighborhood” and it states that anyone not taking a vow to Lucifer..will not be permitted to enter the NWO..They only want 500 million slaves left to serve them..Rev 2:9 I know you who call yourselves Jews..who are not..but you are the synogogue of Satan.” Israel is run by Communists/Zionists..just as we are.. In the end..even the elect will be fooled..God gathers the nations to go against Israel..Jesus steps in causing a big earthquake causing Israel to be saved..but something happens and only one third will be permitted to enter the millenial kingdom..that being the remnant..Churches have fallen victim to the media just as most Americans have..It is all about control of the masses..

I wouldn’t listen to Mr. Rush Republican. At the end of the day, he is only loyal to the Republican Party even more so than Beck. I wouldn’t listen to Beck or any of them. Take his original advice, that he probably took from somebody else, and read original texts without any analyses. We don’t need these clowns.

Fox/talk radio/weekly standard et all is just one giant industry that only pumps “electable” Republicans to push its monolithic purpose of Israel-wall street. I’ve been in the same room with these people, such as Ann Coulter. believe me, you cannot distinguish them because they are only for their media empire. A misleading report. For e.g. Monaco has high social insurance taxes payable by both employer and employee. The employer’s contribution is between 28%–40% (averaging 35%) of gross salary including benefits and the employee pays a further 10%–14% (averaging 13%). A tax based on income but called social insurance tax.

I agree with everyone calling for the fair tax. The fair tax puts all goods sold in the U.S. on a level playing field and our exports (exported tax free) at a more competitive advantage. Since the only real wealth is made is when it is harvested from nature or human labor turns something from nature into a more usable form, exportation is the BEST means to increase a nation’s wealth. Furthermore, it totally guts the IRS and shows people how much they are really paying in taxes. It also gives the individual the choice to cut the amount of taxes they send to the federal government through their own purchasing habits. Everywhere that a tax code similar to the fairtax has been implemented, tax revenue has risen, tax rates have decreased, and prosperity has followed.

Oh, and for the record, Herman Cain was originally for the Fair Tax until the elections, at which point he just wanted a ruse to try to gain popularity with a seemingly “simple” tax system. Unfortunately, he gave up on the correct course of action and lost his entire base; which sat back and called him a dunce for denouncing one of the few reasons that his base wanted him in office.

Everyone on the left keeps screaming “tax the rich”, well, ok then, eliminate the income tax and charge only sales tax. The rich buy more stuff, so, they would pay more money to the government. That would be the fair way to do it.
There is a reason why these places have photos of beautiful places like these, the rich go there and spend money. they pay sales tax.

Yeah, this article is a little misleading. I live in Qatar right now, on temporary assignment. No income tax, true, but the sovereign oil (gas, rather) wealth pays for a lot. Cost of living is high here, and they have to import all their food in the Land of Sand.

They also have a lot of “fees”. There is no free market here, there is only what the Sheiks allow, price controls on everything. The Blaze has not done well by posting this article.

Sales tax is the way to go. Tax NEW durable goods at 25%. Used is free. That’s it.

You make $100 – you keep it and invest it how you wish (other than state and local taxes). No paper work, no tax day, no headaches from the IRS. Bliss.

Note: This doesn’t hurt poor people – as most items they need are neither new or not durable (food, fuel, services, etc.). But it does bring in income from illegals, drug runners, and people who can currently afford expensive accounting tricks (the wealthy). Win-win.

The problem with “income tax” is that not everyone has an “income”. When a tax on income becomes too burdensome, people stop working, it is easier and more prosperous to live off the state, federal hand outs. Hence what is happening in USSA. Look at the states in america that have high sales tax and low income, property tax, they are much more prosperous. Everyone pays, no matter what. Everyone has some skin in the game.

    Gee wiz gosh darn…………….
Didn’t Ron Paul say to get rid of the income tax….? Economists said that IF his economic policies were in force, companies from around the world would be clamoring to have their businesses here.

Didn’t he also say that if we had followed our Constitution all along from its inception, that we would not be in the horrific straits that we are now in? But that is water under the bridge now. Now , If Americans still want a Republic that is based on first of all the Truth of God, and then the Constitution, (becuase the Truth of God will always trump the Constitution), America must see her transgressions and repent and be turned back to Truth.

And please do not tell me that there are many “truths”.
In the world, yes there are. But in the picture of the eternal, there is One Truth. God.

Ron Paul would right now be president had he given in to the “chosen people” like all the politicians from both parties do. Had he signed a pledge to send every American to defend Israel, he would right now be packing to move into the White House. However, he had convictions and didn’t cave in to Juden pressure, so the Juden controlled media ran him out of town on a rail.

Remember how RP talked about ending the Fed? Well that’s another “chosen people” creation and he was stepping on Juden toes. The Federal Reserve was created by “chosen person” and Ron Paul knows that most of America’s problems are the result of Judens. That’s why he refused to kiss Juden’s butts.

People need to understand that “anti-semitism” is just a shield for the “never-again” crowd to ride roughshod over national sovereignty. Ask these people what Israel has to do with us. They’ll tell you our destiny rests with theirs. Not true.

They have a monopoly on our foreign policy. They colonized our senate and congress with their marionettes. They fertilized washington with “grassroots” lobbyists, which have surpassed all branches of government in their power.

They are in bed with NSA. There’s no way not-for-profit can have this kind of database. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqjVmapwcN4

      Louise,

Would you agree that God is infallible, eternal, omnipotent, perfect, all seeing, without equal in the universe, the creator of everything, knows the past present and future, and any other superlative accolade you can think of?

Now I would like to do an exercise in logic with you. When he was creating the universe and in turn Earth, how did he screw the pooch so bad? I mean if he is all knowing then he never would have designed the system and beings within to end up the way it did with wars, violence, hate, greed, etc., etc.

The Devil? If God knows EVERYTHING and CREATES everything then he should have known he was making a bad seed in satan(since he knows the future). So why would he needlessly put us through this when he could just not create it with this problem?

I know you will say because he made us in his image with free will and the angels too. But he should have seen this running afoul(all knowing). Instead a PERFECT OMNIPOTENT ALL KNOWING creator created a flawed product = NOT LOGICAL. And if you say it was perfect and we are the ones who messed it up, I will say he should have seen this coming and designed it better, after all he KNOWS ALL.

      Chumley,
      Don’t play games with me.

For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even sothe thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. Now we have percieved not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things freely given to us from God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man does dot accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no man. For who has known the MInd of the Lord, that he should instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Those rich enough to build an apartment off their house for their adult children so they can have their own address (only one vehicle allowed per address, so the apartment becomes “B” after the numbers), and those living on the streets or in poorly built houses.

Very interesting, that people dismiss this article, saying, well, these places don’t need an income tax because they are tourist traps.

Maybe they are tourist traps, because there is no income tax. think about this, entrepreneurs are free to create without being hampered by central planning slave taxes. Maybe that’s why the milieu is so inviting.

That’s why you cherry picked your rebuttal. Let’s get competition back into the mix, and do away with the FEDERAL income tax, and let 50 states innovate. IN 1913 the world was at war. Tariff revenue was down because of this and we needed to fund the war effort. The income tax was supposed to be a temporary war tax on only the rich. Even now it only comprises 20% of federal revenue but gets 100% of the attention.

I do not believe that when we talk about the 47% not paying income tax that we are NOT talking about Seniors and the Disabled. When I talk about those not paying income taxes (and still having the right to vote???) I mean the 18-65 year olds who are able-bodied and not independently wealthy (they may be 100% takers OR the working poor who work near-full-time-jobs but do not earn enough to pay income taxes).
Personally, I would like to know the real labor participation rate of people 18-65 who have 40 hour a week jobs NOW vs 10 years ago. I would also like to see how much the rolls have grown for those on disability between the ages of 18-65 in the last 10 years (I suspect that MANY people who ran out of extended unemployment benefits have figured out how to “game the system” and are illegitimately drawing disability).

The income tax may have had various sales pitches to shove it down our throats, but the bottom line is, the apportionment clause meant what it said. The Federal government shall APPORTION any tax, AMONG THE STATES. Not among the people of said states. The income tax breaches the buffer that the Constitution created to shield the people from direct taxation of the federal government. It is therefore, unconstitutional, as the Supreme Court of 1895 determined.

I don’t care what anybody says. The income tax is a slave tax.

When they can rattle off a list of developed countries that actually contribute something other than nice beaches and gambling or are fortunate enough to be sitting on top of a giant oil field then they’ll have something. If you’re going to do an article that is ostensibly saying “these countries don’t have income taxes and they seem to be doing okay, why can’t we do the same?” then you’ve got to do a realistic comparison with comparable countries.

The US sends dollars to other countries, not for aid but to expand the global supply of dollars. This is necessary to maintain the US $ global reserve status without expanding dollars internationally the system collapses. The US is effectively exporting inflation, if it didn’t then domestically the US would suffer massive inflation and collapse…

It is true, and it is complex, your reaction can be forgiven as few people understand this and it sounds crazy,,, research Triffin dilemma aka Triffins Paradox,,

The entire global financial system is based on US debt expansion due to US $ as the global reserve. As the global economies grow they require increased amounts of US dollars.. if that flow contracts the global system collapses and the US $ fails as a reserve, all US $ rush back into the US and cause a massive inflationary collapse.

Foreign aid is one method of getting US dollars outside, there are others.. including Fed central bank swaps

It is a corrupt system and losing the US$ as a global reserve will collapse the dollar instantly. Everybody at the highest level understands this dynamic, but never mentions it. In fact, it is so corrupt that if the US debt stopped expanding the global financial system would collapse… it is a ponzi scheme.

You never truly own property in the US anyway. Private property ownership is a myth. If you doubt this then stop paying your property taxes and see how fast that property is taken away from you. You lease property from the state you never really own it. If you owned it they couldn’t take it away from you for non-payment.

The problems we face has nothing to do with income tax. It’s how the income tax code is used to punish producers and reward corruptness.

Something is required to fund our govt. It doesn’t matter what you call it, it’s how you obtain it. When our Nation was founded, income tax was not the revenue to pay the cost of govt.

Then our elected leaders figured out if they could tax the citizens more, they could spend more, so they sold the citizens the need for an income tax and amended our Constitution.

But then Congress members found they could steal the tax mony by use of the tax code and we have finally reached the $87 Trillion debt we have today.
With no way in the world of paying for it.

So Congress hides the debt. Just as they fix the unemployed numbers by not counting “all” the unemployed, the debt is the same. They only publish what they think is a number the voters will accept.

The fact our public education system can produce new crops of uninformed voters every year, will soon end this grand lie, that those evil rich are the cause of all our problems. (The golden goose.)

When all the moneys gone (the goose is dead) , who will pay for the free stuff?

Social conservatives instituted the income tax so they could pass Prohibition. Prior to the income tax, the major source of Federal funding were various taxes on alcohol. The one lasting effect of Prohibition is that Americans drink a lot less than they did before it. We could not run the Government on alcohol taxes.

I think the income tax was put in place to fund the soon to be Federal Reserve…How were they going to pay the interest to the Federal Reserve answer how about an income tax.

Anyone who really understands the ponzi financial system also understands that income taxes are NOT needed to run the Government, they are used for redistribution, plunder and control..

Now, interest rates are artificially suppressed but if interest rates rose the an historical average of 6.5%. the entire income tax revenue would be needed to pay the interest on the debt.

So, all income tax revenue would go to interest on the debt at 6.5% interest rate..

Think about that when Obama is massively expanding the welfare State, UNSUSTAINABLE

The income tax was put in place in 1913 to make up for revenues soon to be lost because of a lowering of tariffs, which had been the main source of government revenue. It had nothing to do with Prohibition or the Federal Reserve.

The US has oil and tourism–and a population of over 300,000,000, which makes the comparison with the likes of Brunei and Kuwait ludicrous.

      @LLOYD DRAKO

You are not exactly being contextually honest,,, the sales pitch was to replace tariffs but once put in place it has been expanded and used for plunder, control and redistribution…

Why don’t we go back to the 1913 tax rates then,,,,

In 1913, the top tax bracket was 7 percent on all income over $500,000 ($11 million in today’s dollars1); and the lowest tax bracket was 1 percent.

The 1913 income tax considered as a revenue generator was in fact meant to replace tariffs. It implied, as you say, that the wealthy would now be made to “pay their fair share.” However, if we really are to go back to the tax structure of 1913, then 99% of us will pay no Federal income taxes at all–quite a jump from the endlessly harped-on 47%.
