A Nebraska teen made the police’s job a whole lot easier when she posted a YouTube video last week in which she brags about robbing a bank and stealing a Pontiac Grand Am.

Law enforcement officials in York County, Nebraska say 19-year-old Hannah Sabata, of Stromsburg, was arrested last week in connection with a robbery at Cornerstone Bank in Waco and theft of a motor vehicle in York.

Just like every smart and hardened criminal does following a crime (hence the sarcasm), Sabata posted a YouTube video aptly titled “Chick Bank Robbery” and boasted about stealing more than $6,000 from a bank and swiping an ounce of weed from someone’s car — then actually stealing a “shiny” car. To make her robbery claims credible, the teen even holds up a wad of cash, car keys, and a bag that supposedly contains marijuana.

She goes on to describe her crime spree as the “best days” of her life and says she is a “victim of the government” and plans to pay off student loans and “go on a shopping spree” with her stolen money. She won’t get the chance though as York County Sheriff Dale Radcliff said “all but $30 of the stolen money” had been recovered.

According to Omaha.com, Sabata appears to be wearing the same clothes in the video as she wore during the robbery.

Sabata was taken into custody on Wednesday and booked into York County Jail where she is charged with robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.

  @dadrocked, so you were a cop? Did you profile people because of their tattoos or pull someone over just to harass them? How many times did you use excessive force? Was there domestic violence at your house? How often did you see other cops make up the law as they went along? Do you feel like the police are in place to tax the citizens a 2nd time (via fines, tickets, etc) so your local government could grow larger, powerful, and more oppressive?

  Btw… I have never been protected nor served. I have only been harassed and threatened. And I wasn’t taught to look down on police but the more I see that the negative stereotypes ARE TRUE. I believe in the law – its the only thing keeping us civil. But I think – and maybe I’m wrong – the police have become the largest gang in the USA….

  Never to make up law. Use the law and their authority… I can think two from a force of approx. 550 that… Let’s just say, that I didn’t approve of their tactics.
  
  Like many, I went into it with a protect and to serve mindset. Law Enforcement is a great profession but it comes down to the hiring and training process.

  There is no new “generation” of cops. There are good ones and bad ones like in every industry. Only the bad ones get the media attention and wind up in all of the stories. Their job is getting harder and harder every day especially under the scrutiny of so many. I don’t envy them but I do respect the hell out of the good ones like Dadrocked.

  I also think that the cops have become revenue collectors for their local govt. HOWEVER I have never had to put on a bullet proof vest to earn a living…and the cops though they are no longer “peace officers” but now “law enforcement” they still stand between my family and a bullet!
  I have issues with our current system but they/you are still the good guys and I thank you sir!

  The police are not there to protect you. If someone attacks you or breaks into your house, they will be long gone by the time the police get there. Take responsibility and buy a gun.
  
  Everyone has had a moment when they are harassed by an officer. It happens. Maybe the officer is having a bad day. Maybe he/she is just a bad person. In the end, most police are good people and that is what is important.

  I cannot say for certain why she was charged, but I can tell you how it can happen: When you give birth the hospital will check the bloodstream of the newborn. If there are any drugs found in the baby’s system, they will take the child and charge the mother with child abuse or neglect.

  @MICHELLE555: Was probably arrested or was on probation during her pregnancy, and then while pregnant either got arrested for possession of drugs or tested positive for drug use, or both. Unfortunately, as a 10 year Law Enforcement veteran (God bless you DADROCKED) and still serving, this is becoming a more common practice.
  
  There have always been the “bad-girls”, but there used to be line when it came to their kids. Now they don’t even care about their kids, born or unborn. This is a small percentage, but it is just so in-your-face egocentrisim in the youth. And now they have lefty psychologists that say this is normal, therefor should be tolerated. Nothing is anyone’s fault anymore. No accountability.

Guess she thought no one important would see her video. STUDENT loans??? SHE was a student??? I’m afraid to ask what she was studying.

This would appear to be an open and shut case. I supposed for her next trick she’ll act as her own lawyer, that is, if there’s even a trial after this YouTube confession. Pretty dopey look on her face as she’s being taken into custody. Compared to your future, Missy, the past few days WERE the best days of your life.

  agreed, she’s not that smart. With a little more education she could have worked a real scam where she preys on the ignorant and scared, convincing them to buy overpriced gold coins that will never reach the value that was paid for them. She could employ some of the biggest conspiracy theorists around the radio dial to vouch for her magic gold coins so they seemed more legitimate. Theres more than enough gullible, end of timers to make a decent pay day and the beauty is that when she inevitably gets charged with a number of counts of fraud, she will have enough funds to hire the best lawyers in town.

  Chances are, her webcam recording doesn’t do audio recordings, which is why people use note cards. Granted, some people do it to try to be artistic, but I doubt she was trying to be artistic. You can tell because she was mime out things too. She just didn’t have audio recorder and failed to turn on mirror effects, so she created horrible subtitles instead….

They said she is wearing the same shirt in the video as when she robbed the bank, and by the looks of her arrest photo, she only owns one shirt.
Just look at that remorseful expression on her face as she is being hauled off to jail. Who could possible argue with that on the jury. Not Guilty! (BROI)
