‘Wilkow!:’ Filibuster Hypocrites
The same progressives who used filibusters against President Bush are now offering a different tune with their man in the White House. TheBlaze reported over the weekend that while Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is currently attempting to limit filibusters as a means to clear Republican opposition to President Obama’s policies, up until recently, his website was packed with multiple statements from during the Bush administration when the Nevada Senator was an ardent opponent to the so-called Nuclear Option and lauded the filibuster as “our historic system of checks and balances.”
On TheBlaze TV Monday, Andrew Wilkow noted that President Obama’s Democratic Senate colleague Robert Byrd started the whole concept of modern filibuster with the 1964 Civil Rights legislation, which he filibustered for 14 hours, eventually reading from the phonebook during Congress to prove his point. Watch a clip below of Wilkow running through the Democratic Party’s recent history with the filabuster:

Posted on December 3, 2012 at 9:15pmMaybe Wilkow can be honest. The Republicans have filibusted nearly every piece of legislation before the senate. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/post/the-history-of-the-filibuster-in-one-graph/2012/05/15/gIQAVHf0RU_blog.html.
Of course, the truth is the rule change Reid is look for does not gets rid of the filibuster, but instead requires Senator to actual stand up and talk, not just say they will.
Wilkow needs to learn that he needs to be honest and truthful in his reporting.

I’m glad you brought that fact up in a story talking about Harry Reid doing a 180 on the filibuster when his party is in power and knew he was a hippocrite because of his scrubbed website. You are exactly like the liberals that call Wilkow’s show. Totally ignore the story and use personal attacks and “facts” from totally unrelated stories. You are a caveman that only knows how to hit people in the head with you club and are in no way, shape, or form intelligent

Posted on December 4, 2012 at 11:25amClownzilla another fool that can’t be bother learning the facts and just repeats the lies of Wilkow and Beck. The fact is that the GOP has used the filibuster more than any other time in the Senate’s history, the truth is Reid’s plan does not get get rid of the filibuster but forces those that are using it to actually stand up and speak.

Posted on December 3, 2012 at 8:36pmLet’s not forget that old Byrd was one of MBE’s favorite kluckers. Urinals are named Byrd in WV. Dirt roads, cricks, dead trees, old toilets in the front yard with good memories involved, all named Byrd. Yay Byrd! Klucking when klucking wasn’t kool in the DNC like it is today. He instituted the NRA drugs for thugs program, and gave away high end beretta EELL’s to many a project kid/appalachian meth mouth munchkin. Byrd airport, Byrd taxi stand, Byrd donkey corral and goat “petting” station. Come on MBE, lets here some more klucker history.
