(TheBlaze/AP) – A 46-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with threatening a public official after threatening to “smuggle in a gun and kill” South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, according to WYFF4.
Liberty police arrested Jennifer Phillips Tuesday after she told her potential plan to a school official with the Santa’s Workshop program where she was a parent volunteer.
After being notified of the threat, Liberty Middle School Principal Lowell Haynes explained: “I felt like it was something that I needed to notify law enforcement and let them handle it from there. It’s not up to me to decide if there’s intent there. I felt like that’s their job let them investigate and decide just turn it over to them.”
Pickens County School District spokesman John Eby said Phillips is a regular volunteer at Liberty Elementary, and alarmingly, Haley was scheduled to speak there Tuesday morning.

According to reports, Phillips was arrested before Haley arrived, and is scheduled to appear before a judge Tuesday evening.
She maintains that she was just joking, however, and says she doesn’t even own a gun, according to WYFF4.
Gov. Haley’s stop at the school was centered around leadership and bullying prevention for third through fifth graders.
The principal concluded: “It’s a great moment for the city of Liberty and for our students at Liberty Elementary School and I kind of hope that that’s the focus of this — that a community member’s ill-advised statement doesn’t reign over the message that she brought our students today, and that’s what a leader is.”

This is being repeated over and over and over…in our schools, in our news, in our entertainment, from our officials, it’s relentless. And do you really believe it’s not having any effect on the unstable and the impressionable?
Slowly but surely a culture is being created that will have a pathological hate for the judeo-christian believer and conservatives. It’s considered noble now to threaten a conservative. It’s something to be applauded. You see conservatives are to be viewed as lesser beings. You see…conservatives are the new “fetus”..the new “blastocyst” where if you don’t call it a human being..then you can kill it at will because you won’t perceive it as one. It’s an incovenenience..an irritant.
Jennifer Phillips is a product of this relentless propaganda campaign by the morally bankrupt American left.

I’m not sure why my stance offends you so much. Near as I can tell we have a few states of nature to explain things. Perhaps this is why you feel compelled to take issue with me so much.
1. You believe that this reduction in liberty could be averted through elections and education. I’d say that is recklessly naive and that there is no evidence to suggest it as reasonable.
2. You don’t believe that liberty is in retreat. I’d say you’re not paying attention.
3. You see liberty retreating but you don’t really care. I have no recommendation then. You will see my pov as crazy.
4. You see liberty retreating, you know elections are futile in a Plato sorta way, but you have no idea what to do and think denial is working so far. Again, we’ll just never agree.

Of course, that is “crazy”, at least to beck-heads, collectivists, RINO’s, etc. Okay. So that is “crazy”. So what peaceful alternatives are left? Voting? How is that working? Our government can kill us extrajudicialy. They grope us, spy on us, drone us, collect data on us, took over our healthcare, control our finances, our children through education, we have 200K pages of laws at the federal level. We are being invaded on our southern border. Our rights are under attack and our children are born into financial slavery…if they are lucky. An unelected courtesean is printing money and stealing from everyone without oversight. Our children die on sand dunes fighting wars for treasure. You wrap yourselves in the founding fathers but look at the intolerable acts that incited our republic. They couldn’t fathom the tyrnany that you all defend now.
I want you to tell me how this ends differently than either serfdom or armed resistance? Make a case. Calling me crazy and then licking the boots of your overlords doesn’t make you look enlightened.

How would you suggest I start “it”? You never responded to my last post on this topic. Again, let’s say we pick a person that represents the tyranny we agree exists (i think). I start “it” with him. I’m labeled a nut, terrorist, tea party, etc wacko by the media. The liberty movement suffers because the media and government response would be relentless. We end up with LESS liberty than before I acted.
Armed confrontation is coming. It either comes or else everyone subjugates and accepts serfdom. What’s the alternative? Explain. Tell me how the ballot box revolution rolls back government, restores rights, and reinstitutes liberty. Make that case and I’ll listen.
The “it” isn’t liberty minded people attacking politicians. We should arrest them and try them sure. But we shouldn’t go vigilante. HOWEVER, history shows that it isn’t our side that starts “it”. It’s them. I think the more ideal outcome is that of Lexington. In the words of Captain John Parker who led 77 minute men from their families into the night to face the best military on the planet in that day….

Speaking of skilled talker, that’s quite a compliment from the resident board verbal sniper isn’t it. Let’s go back a little shall we? You have made a posting career out of some key principles.
1. You take no positions. You never really lay out a point of view of your own. I haven’t seen you take a position and defend it in any way. Rather, you simply attack other points of view. Sometimes it works well but others not so much. For example, your wiki level understanding of economics was pretty funny and I haven’t seen you enter that fray since.
2. You don’t really know anything about people but you try to take bits and pieces to cobble together some strawman about them and then destroy it wildly as some sort of intellectual cage fighter.
3. You extend threads hoping that people make mistakes somewhere along the lines so you can seize on that opportunity, but you never really address any questions our counterpoints that people make because that takes you back to #1.
4. You are generally a single topic poster. That is, you hover like a moth to any threads involving libertarians and/or Ron Paul – Gary Johnson. Outside of that you don’t have much to offer if anything.
Tell me I’m wrong. No wait, disappear or change topics or pick out something about my monicker or somehow tie me to some other issue that is related to libertarianism that seems to live rent free in your head.
