Fox News Is Keeping Karl Rove & Dick Morris Off the Air Following Poor Election Predictions, Report Claims

In the wake of the election, following predictions that Republican Mitt Romney would definitively beat President Barack Obama, commentators and politicos like Karl Rove and Dick Morris have received a great deal of criticism. And it seems, at least according to sources who spoke exclusively with New York Magazine, that Fox News is now intentionally keeping both men off the air.
In the wake of the elections, “multiple Fox sources” told the outlet that the network’s president, Roger Ailes, has been repositioning on-air coverage to comply with the post-election climate. Among his changes, he has purportedly sought to remove from air any “faces associated with the election.”
This change, in effect at least temporarily, has meant that Morris and Rove, two men who had prominent placement during the 2012 presidential campaign, have appeared more infrequently since Obama’s re-election win. New York Magazine explains the details of the regulatory changes:
For Karl Rove and Dick Morris — a pair of pundits perhaps most closely aligned with Fox’s anti-Obama campaign — Ailes’s orders mean new rules. Ailes’s deputy, Fox News programming chief Bill Shine, has sent out orders mandating that producers must get permission before booking Rove or Morris. Both pundits made several appearances in the days after the election, but their visibility on the network has dropped markedly. Inside Fox News, Morris’s Romney boosterism and reality-denying predictions became a punch line. At a rehearsal on the Saturday before the election, according to a source, anchor Megyn Kelly chuckled when she relayed to colleagues what someone had told her: “I really like Dick Morris. He’s always wrong but he makes me feel good.”

Ailes was purportedly angry after Rove’s election-night dispute over the network’s initial call that Obama was victorious. While a spokesperson for the Fox president claimed that reports of a rift are inaccurate, the network did confirm the new booking rules, noting that they are rooted in the fact that the election has concluded.

Posted on December 5, 2012 at 9:13amEvery single one of the FOX news pundits called it wrong: Sarah Palin, Charles Krauthammer, Bill Krystol, Laura Ingram, etc. Despite all of the polling data to the contrary, they all were saying Romney was going to win. Why? Because reality isn’t a big concern at FOX. They just supply whatever fiction their audience wants to hear, and label it “fact.”

If you can’t see the game Obama’s playing right now you better open your eyes and take a cold hard look. Why do you think he’s still campaigning after what he admitted was his “last election”?
Because he intends to smear and besmirch the GOP house into a loss in the next midterm in 2014.
He believes he can keep Harry Reid and a majority in the Senate and overturn the GOP house. Had you asked me before the 2012 Federal election if he could accomplish this I’d have said no…today…after seeing how uninformed and selfish the electorate is that it voted for Obama because of abortions and “he understands us” over the hard reality of us going broke I’d say he can indeed overturn the high number of Republicans and create another supermajority for himself. He will then pass the DREAM act and raise taxes as he pleases and install liberal judges in the Supreme Court.
And don’t kid yourselves for an instant..he knows full well that $250K rich guy tax isn’t going to make a dent in the deficit..he just wants to keep spending until he leaves. He’ll hammer the middle class while blaming the GOP every step of the way.
Stop worrying about Morris and Rove and start worrying about what Obama’s positioning for. He hates what the 2010 midterms did to him and he’s aiming to change that. Wake up and stop being petty and foolish because he’s got a lot more hurt lined up for us.

Just for this story alone there were over 20 different articles written about it. From far left news sources to far right. This includes articles from many different sources and countries. You should get it for your phone. It is nice to take in a variety of sources and opinions and information. Very constructive for formulating your own ideas and opinions after reading a variety of views and statistics. But i am willing to bet that those sources are flawed or all msm to you.
Secondly. How is Fox News firing two idiots a distraction by obama? Has he now infiltrated Fox to create a distraction for his continued pursuit to destroy america and jesus? What kind of tin foil do you use to make up your hat collection. What was rove gonna say while raising 300 million, that romney was gonna lose. The sad part is that Fox thought they would get a true presiction from a guy stumping and using super pacs for romney. Are you that thick to not realize that rove got fired for blatantly lying to raise more money for the republican cause that he was helping to pay for and champion? You really thought he was gonna be honest and say that obama was a lock from the outset? He needed the idiot viewers of Fox to put more $$$ in his superpacs.
If you are too dim to see that is why he fot fired and not because obama is creating a distraction.

The story is a distraction because it’s not important going ahead. Please by all means show me where I stated that Obama orchestrated the “firing” of Morris and Rove as a “distraction”. Perhaps less time with your app with twenty sources and more time on reading and comprehension may help you?
I stated why it’s a distraction (broadly speaking..get it?)..because we’re distracted with pettiness while Obama is still campaigning even though he has no reason to campaign. Why is he doing so? Because the midterms are coming up.
It’s no mystery Obama resents what happened to his supermajority in 2010 when the GOP took the house with their biggest victory in 70 years. It stalled Obama’s plans. If not for Harry Reid and the democrat senate blocking budgets and legislation Obama would be even more frustrated. He’s already expressed his frustration with the constraints congress places on him (read: that the constitution places on him).
Obama doesn’t care if a “fiscal cliff” deal is passed or not. If it is passed it will contain his tax hikes. If it doesn’t get passed taxes go up for everyone. He’ll pillory the GOP regardless because he wants the democrats to control the house. In fact..he’d love taxes to go up across the board and Obamacare already starts that ball rolling. See if you can get your app with 20 sources to educate you better than it seems to have. Idiot.

You do know Obama is doing everything Bush did, but 10X faster and bigger. Why is that okay?
After you answer the above question please explain what you mean by “extreme right and extreme left” in this country. There is no such thing in America and what you speak of is in every other culture but not here. Our country was established on limited government which means extreme right is an Anarchist, extreme left is Communist or simply put a Statist. However, contrary to your delusional belief, the Tea party, Libertarians,Conservatives and the like are actually Centrists believing and preserving what made this country so great…. Posted on December 5, 2012 at 10:35amI think they were just doing their jobs. But, Rove needs to go away he is nothing more than a progressive POS and his ideas did not help conservatives. Morris was right except that he did not count on so many people not voting which allowed the Marxist to win, and the fraud.
Morris does know what he is doing.

If we were going to lose anyway, why did these schmucks force Romney on us? Why not let the good doc have a shot? Are they that dead set on never letting Americans hear about liberty?

Bill O’reilly proved to me that he and Bernie Goldberg are anti-second amendment. and they still employ shepard smith. I barely watch it anymore except to catch the five to check out Dana Perrino and laugh at Greg Gutfelds commentaries, hes a funny little guy.

Posted on December 5, 2012 at 2:14pmIf you recall, Beck started realizing the last couple of days before the election that Romney was in real trouble. This election didn’t make sense because for a president to have failed at every turn like Obama, he should have lost by a landslide, but the polls kept saying he was leading. Well, the polls were right and the Democrats/Media (can’t actually tell the difference anymore) stole any elections that were too close like Allen West’s.

Posted on December 5, 2012 at 8:19amAiles is trying to turn Foxnews into all the other msm news. He is slowly using excuses to get rid of as many conservatives as possible, starting with the ones people think are different, and picking up one leftist after another. These leftists are really creepy people and Ailes is no different. Once Murdoch hired him I knew that Foxnews as a separate news entity from the rest of the msm was over. Leftists always blame those who they don’t like,”conservatives” for everything. It is in their DNA. Leftism is a mental illness, and people who are leftist should be treated as mentally ill. Not given important jobs in our society. Too bad, just another reason not to watch foxnews as part of the msm. And I do not like Rove or Morris.

He’s just a political whore who needs to be in front of the TV cameras to be happy. Rove, okay, thought maybe he was more conservative in the very early 2000s. He later exposed himself as a RINO at best. Typical entrenched progressive in the Republican Party.

There was the time in ’94-’95 time frame when he stayed shacked up with a particular prostitute sucking her toes. I’ve no use for him not because he did work for Clinton, but rather he has always been one to toss out the wildest stories and predictions to just see which might stick.
I found Rove interesting in the beginning, but lost any trust with him either a short time afterwards. I say good riddance to both.

Posted on December 5, 2012 at 8:21amHey RJJ..
I remember Morris well back then. I mowed his next door neighbor’s lawn in Redding, CT in the early- to mid 90′s. Morris was relatively unknown until then and used to say hello to us…. then the scandal broke… and news trucks would be parked outside his house.. Weird stuff. I actually still have a phone book with Morris’ old number in it. Never called it though.

I had recently returned stateside from another tour in Europe and paying close attention to what the Clintons were doing. Morris was in the news only occasionally mainly quoted regarding his advice. Hillary was holding those closed door meetings for Hillarycare, then Whitewater popped out for public consumption. Of course Vince Foster was already dead and Waco, Tx assault was over. Weren’t those some really wild times? You guys should have watched Waco in the European press!
