Watch the Heartwarming Moment a Returning U.S. Airman Surprises His Daughter at Her High School Play: ‘Your Daddy’s Home’
An unsuspecting daughter was reunited with her father, a U.S. Airman, when he surprised her at her high school play. The heartwarming moment was captured on video and posted on the Welcome Home Blog.
The hero father, known only as Michael, hides in the audience as his teenage daughter performs on stage, holding up signs and giving the crowd a show.
Then, out of nowhere, a school staffer makes an announcement and introduces a mystery guest.
“We are going to go first with the play that changed my life,” the teacher announces, adding that “someone” in the audience that had already read through the play.
“I believe he just got back from overseas, and he changed her life. Your daddy’s home,” the teacher says to the girl, sending the crowd into a cheering frenzy.
“I missed you so much,” a teary-eyed daughter says to her dad.

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 4:09pmPerhaps no payment is worthy, but we could honor them by paying them a decent wage. That’d be a start. Let’s begin by telling the traitor in the White House to STOP with the billion-dollar vacations and give that money to our men and women in uniform.
That’s a start.

Posted on December 5, 2012 at 7:54pmAll of the military’s sacrifices have been for nothing. America has sold them out by reelecting an Anti-American Marxist to the Presidency. He and his cronies are selling out America, and everyone who ever lifted a finger to protect her all the way back to the Revolutionary War.
I am too disgusted in what we have become. A culture of thieves inventing new ways to steal from each other.

They are doing it for what the American Dream stands for and that is you and me !

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 10:39amI agree with you. I gave 20 years to fight what we now have in the white house. I lost a son who served in Afghanistan. And for what. So this country could once again spit in our face? I wouldn’t blame a single kid to refuse to serve under this marxist.

I recall coming back from two WestPac deployments….both were 9 month deployments; and “nothing” compared to what our troops today. I was single at the time, but it was always cool to watch the family reunions on the pier when we returned to San Diego.

Posted on December 5, 2012 at 9:17pmLakehartwellsailor: True that the depoyments to Iraq an Afganistan are more violent etc, however, I spent two 12 month tours and 1 thirteen month tour in a five year period. I did not have the joy of speaking via Skype or a computer via emails. Mine was an occasional phone call via the MARS system, letter and tapes. It all washes itself in one way or another in the long run. Still, I would not want to constantly be on mental alert like the guys in Iraq and Afganistan.
And finally, a BIG thanks goes out to MSgt Michael ? for his service to our great country.
