Author Brad Thor on Obama’s Benghazi Story: ‘If I Tried to Turn This Story in to My Editor, I’d Be Thrown Out of Her Office’
One would be hard-pressed to find someone more plugged into the intelligence community than New York Times best-selling author Brad Thor. In fact, the amount of research he does for each of his political thrillers would make your head spin.
That’s why Thor is convinced that there is much more to the deadly terrorist attack in Benghazi than has come out publicly so far.
Appearing on “The O’Reilly Factor” Wednesday, Thor said he would be thrown out of his editor’s office if he pitched a story with as many holes in it as the Obama administration’s Benghazi story.
“If I tried to turn this story in to my editor, I’d be thrown out of her office…There’s too many holes in this story,” he said.
But the most important question yet to be answered, according to Thor, is: Why was U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens in Benghazi on the anniversary of 9/11 in the first place?
“Of all the days for an American to be traveling in an Islamic country, why was Chris Stevens in Benghazi of all places on 9/11? That’s where this story starts and it doesn’t make sense,” said Thor. “This by all accounts a very, very bright man, yet he chooses to go to Benghazi on 9/11. That same day he sends the State Department a cable complaining about the level of security he’s not getting over there?”
Thor also said he is curious to know why Stevens would remain in Benghazi with all the protests occurring throughout the region at U.S. embassies, including one that turned violent in Cairo. He could have gone straight to Tripoli and been safe, he explained.
“When the attack happens at our embassy in Cairo, that immediately gets broadcast to all of our diplomatic missions around the world. … But still, Stevens doesn’t leave Benghazi, and for me I keep coming back to ‘why’? Why would he not go back and support his troops at the embassy in Tripoli? Libya is an Arab Spring country,” Thor said.
He continued: “If there’s an uprising in Cairo, another Arab Spring country, why wouldn’t you rush back to the safety and security – again we come back to the fact that Stevens said he didn’t feel secure – why not go back to Tripoli, be with your troops, and make sure you’re there in case anything happens?”
Sadly, O’Reilly said he doesn’t think Americans will be given truthful answers to important questions like Thor’s.

Posted on December 7, 2012 at 12:10pmThe sooner everyone realizes there is no left or right the better. All of our so called represenitives are socialist in the pockets of the bankers. Don’t let them pull the wool over your eyes with their game of divide and conquer. If we don’t put our differences aside we lose!

Posted on December 7, 2012 at 11:14amI hope this guy realizes that the Obama team is selling this to illiterates, as properly identified by Pravda. It doesn’t matter what type of illiterates to which this refers. Obviously all of them including the current President are economic illiterates. Almost all of them are historical and social illiterates. As far as the general populace, the greater portion of those that voted the current President back into the White House are just your basic illiterate, i.e. poor language, reading and arithmetic skills.

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 4:33pm@ARMEDARP My hope is that you are passing these historical factoids to the current generation. There are a lot of folk who spout, but don’t have the history to back it up. Good Work!!! I didn’t realize that the Dem. Party was that vulnerable in 1944. I do however know that Wilson’s version of Progressivism was emblematic of Fascism, so I’m not suprised. To be perfectly honest I think the Hippies in the 60s decided to pick a party to invade and chose the DEMs. What I can’t figure out is; “If their dumb Commune Life Experiments failed in the 70s, why the heck are they trying to push it now?”

O’Reilly made the comment in his interview with Brad Thor that Americans don’t care about the truth behind Benghazi. I disagree wholeheartedly. We care more than anyone knows and we hope and pray that our elected officials who can hold hearings on this get to the bottom of it. Don’t let them get away with the lies.

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 12:07pmPantloadian – Beirut and Benghazi the same? Please – apples and oranges my friend. Please fill in the details on how the Reagan Administration denied the event took place, sent Howdy Doody on the Sunday talk shows and said a Sesame Street video caused the attack, said there were no requests for addtional support, watched it in real-time and did nothing, spouted the same video caused BS for two weeks after the attack, the President knew it was a terrorist attack and hour and eighteen meetings into the attack etc, etc, etc, The is an Obama clusterflop and coverup. These families and this country deserves an answer.

Boy, have I got a treat for you.
“The charge has been made that the United States has shipped weapons to Iran as ransom payment for the release of American hostages in Lebanon, that the United States undercut its allies, and secretly violated American policy against trafficking with terrorists. Those charges are utterly false . . . in spite of the wildly speculative and false stories about arms for hostages, and alleged ransom payments. we did not, repeat, trade weapons or anything else, for hostages. Nor will we.”
– Ronald Reagan in a nationalized television speech(es), lying through his teeth and right into the face of the American people. He went on to deny that Israel had any role in selling arms to Iran.
How do you like them apples?
Here, enjoy:

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 11:26amBenhazi had nothing to do with the State Department and every thing to do with the intelligence community. That is why we will never get the true story. The whole thing reaks of a CIA op gone terribly wrong and an administration who failed to do anything to stop the events that occurred.

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 8:23amThe leftest unions that run our educational systems have done a great job of dumbing down the American public. They have rewritten history books and brought in the leftest philosophy of atheism. Forget about being a patriot. They teach our kids that historical America was a bunch of racist, murdering goons.
Our “educated” youth only cares about the next electronic gadget they can buy. They get their news from Comedy Central. A story like Benghazi is a joke to our shallow youth and self centered adults. They will not wake up until someone turns off their electronic devices.

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 7:28amTreasonous Filth in Washington D.C. I can’t believe there isn’t ONE person there who has the guts to call this administration out and start impeachment proceedings!
We MUST support Glenn’s effort to start his own Network News. I’m afraid it’s the only way the Truth is going to be told about anything now. There is no way the mainstream media is going to give this story the Headlines it deserves. The msm will go along like little lambs, pulling the wool over the eyes of the American people.

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 8:31amIt’s actually Mr. Thor that doesn’t make any sense.
He is saying that the ambassador should have been in Tripoli supporting his troops.
Besides not being his troops, were they somehow lacking in food, clothing and shelter and only his presence in their vicinity would rightfully supply these necessities?
And since when did controlling the us military become an ambassadors job?
