Chris Matthews: GOP Used Secret ‘Dog Whistles’ to Tell People ‘We Don’t Like Black Presidents’

During his show on MSNBC Thursday, Chris Matthews made the case that the leaders of the GOP were speaking in racial “dog whistles” to tell voters that they “don’t like black presidents.”

Using clips from people like Donald Trump and John Sununu, Matthews asked former Republican Congressman J.C. Watts whether he agreed that “these are signals to people: we don’t like black presidents?” He was unable to get the answer he was looking for.

“I think it’s unfair to paint with a broad brush and say that all Republicans,” Watts began, but was cut off.

“Sununu was one of their number one surrogates,” Matthews said, seemingly making the case that he speaks for the majority of the Republican Party.

“I was critical of the Romney folks. They had no diversity in their campaign,” Watts said.

  Chris is like Ed Asner they’re both pr!cks, and that’s being kind. Chris’ leg is tingling (he suffers from restless leg syndrome, not to mention bad gas) and now his ears are apparently ringing. He thinks the ringing is because of dog whistles used by racist GOP. I’m not quite sure how he thinks that works. He’s delusional! He makes as much sense as Nancy Pelosi, which is none.   The continued “Republicans hate blacks” strategy is no longer about “campaigning”–it’s about ensuring that morons everywhere will always blame Republicans for Obama’s failures. The people who buy into this clearly bought into it for a second round, and people like Chris (and Obama) know that ALL they will hear is the “racist” nonsense and forgo any logic. It’s time to let the Republicans sink or swim in Congress. If they are smart, they’ll openly let Obama have what he wants–because Obama is going to get what he wants anyway. The only difference will be is if he succeeds in blaming his own moves on Republicans. The facts are we can no longer control our CongressCritters and hope that they will do what’s right versus what will keep them in power. Yes, we have some good people in there, but they are outnumbered and shunned by the establishment every time. So, let Obama have it, and OPENLY let him have it. While the right will grumble and moan, the left will be scratching their heads. And no, they won’t even notice it’s a problem until it hits their own wallet. This is all we have left–is to let things take the course that Obama wants and the sooner the GimmieDats will realize they sold their vote for nil. Sure, they will still want what they want and want it now, but the realization that it will never happen in the way that they were promised might prompt them to take in a dose of reality OR finally move to one of those socialist (communist) countries they beam

Zimmerman is going to sue NBC. He should sue Chris also.

“NBC saw the death of Trayvon Martin not as a tragedy but as an opportunity to increase ratings, so it set about to create the myth that George Zimmerman was a racist and predatory villain,” the defamation lawsuit says.

“NBC created this false and defamatory misimpression using the oldest form of yellow journalism: manipulating Zimmerman’s owns words, splicing together disparate parts of the (police) recording to create the illusion of statements that Zimmerman never actually made.”
