Here’s the Point-by-Point Debunk of the ‘Facts’ in that Offensive Calif. Teachers’ Union Ad

On Tuesday, TheBlaze showed you the Ed Asner-narrated cartoon created by the California Federation of Teachers.

Video Debunks The California Teachers Tax The Rich Cartoon

Image: California Federation of Teachers video

Mr. Asner is also being confronted about his participation in the cartoon. Although the aging actor claims he did not recall what he said in the video, he does ask the reporter who questions him, “Can I piss on you?”

On Wednesday, writer Lee Doren posted a video on his YouTube channel How The World Works. The video takes the cartoon from the Teachers union and breaks it down, debunking it, one point at a time. And Doren accomplishes this simply by using facts.

Right out of the blocks, Doren’s video analysis of the cartoon debunks the union’s claims about crime, unemployment, and how much the so-called rich people pay in taxes:

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

I think teachers should be required to take continuing education . Veterinarians do. They have to acquire so many hours every 2 years. They have to pay for them and can not continue to practice if they do not attend. Teachers should require testing and evaluations to determine whether they are competent to teach our children. I also believe that parents should be advised of the information being taught in our schools and have an input regarding it. The unions continue to allow our children to be indoctrinated. Parents should have the right to protect their children .

Pamela, in what state are teachers NOT required to obtain continuing education credits!? For most teachers, it’s also GRADUATE credits which have averaged me about $500 a credit. Teachers are also required (I assumed in all states, but perhaps I’m wrong) to take what are called the PRAXIS tests, which test their knowledge in the subject manner they want to teach.

When will you learn that Company,s pay no taxes. When you raise there tax you screw your self twice. By Taking money that could give you a raise and buy making the product cost more wake the hell up. The only tax needed is an tariff on imports and exports drop all other income tax and you will see jobs and the economy take off

Doren is young and very ignorant of the NWO players and how the ‘housing bubble’ was done ON PURPOSE WITH A PLAN TO DESTABILIZE THE AMERICAN ECONOMY

and he is wrong on a few of his points.
#1 it was the unions working with the NWO crew who do buy the media and create propaganda – in fact that part is actually being done in the video itself lol
#2 the rules of the NWO/LUCIFARIANS [yes even they have rules] is to TELL THE PUBLIC what they are doing or about to do, but they always make it so it’s denounced, thought of as foolish or make fun of to the point no one takes the info seriously – LIKE THE UFO SUBJECT IS TODAY!!!
#3 Lucifarian/NWO members have taken their money to the offshore accounts, sure Cayman’s are closes and has a beach near by but Switzerland banks have more PERKS
#4 propaganda like this is happening by the direct cash flow from the teachers, the unions of all kinds and the obama administration led by the NWO and all the black op money that illegal goods, services and slavery can by them.

Doren, you need to read your bible more and the trash media less

This is exactly the lame, simpleton arguments put forth by Romney / Ryan and the clowns in the House that cost them independent voters who actually think beyond simpleton ideology. And once again for the precious few here who can understand rather simple economics, The wealthy do not create jobs. DEMAND creates jobs. And the demand economic engine in the US has always been the middle class by virtue of shear numbers. The wealthy along with mutual funds, union pension funds, and the like INVEST in companies which use the money to hire people to meet demand. When real wages begin to fall as they have since the 1980′s due to one way treaties that have put the middle class in the US on a race to the bottom, demand goes down. And along with the concentration of wealth which also reduces demand, the continued reduction in wages will continue to reduce demand and cause further decline in the economy.

      Necessity or desire creates demand.
      DEMAND creates sales.
      Sales create jobs.
      Jobs create income for people.
People then go spend the money earned at jobs and it circulates.
Money circulates, and some people manage to earn more, usually by skills or product others are willing to pay for. Some people manage to hire and employ others, and in doing so harness the efforts of several people, becoming far more productive than by themselves, PAYING those employees in exchange for their efforts a mutually agreed to compensation.
      Generally, these people become wealthy.
Then people see that wealth and become jealous, but fail to attain it themselves.
They then struggle financially, see the successful person and become envious, because they have degrees and education, and have this and that etc, but this dumb@ss college dropout did something different and now he’s a Ka-zillionaire, and it JUST ISN’T FAIR……WAAAAH
Envy leads to desire to deprive others of the wealth, and since stealing can land you in jail or get you killed, said envy filled person votes for those who promise to “legally” steal, via taxation, and justify it by creating programs that “help everyone” or whatever line of sh1t they come up with.
Then said struggling person isn’t really helped, but feels better because wealthy person has less.

Then you have the AIG and Goldman Sachs of the world, but that isn’t most wealthy people. And said abusers of capitalism manage to avoid taxes. ASK GE.

I see, so what you’re saying is that you want to leave indoctrination to corporations who answer only to their stockholders what is best to teach the children? You don’t think there won’t be bias if that happens? The corporation have no loyalty to anything beyond the corporation and why will they offer education to the public? There will have to be a profit motive, where does that profit come from? When you own the information, you can spin it any way you want. When schools belong to the government, they are much more answerable to the people, the taxpayers.

If you think just because schools belong to the government that they answer to the ‘taxpayers’ you don’t have kids that go to public school. The schools answer to the secular godless government and taxpayers have no ultimate say. The federal gooberment passes money to the states for strict obedience to secular indoctrination and revisionist history. At least with private schools the parents determine what their children learn.

The old adage is teachers make less money than private sector folks, but they make up for it in benefits. But now, they make comparable salaries and still have the great benefits.

And just how is it that “everyone needs to pay their fair share” is an indictment against those already paying the most and not those paying nothing at all?

That’s exactly the way it is today. The real problem is that agenda’s have become more important to the teachers than actual curriculum. It’s time for the good teachers to stand up to their union leadership, or they are just as big a part of the problem as the agenda driven teacher. This video says it all about the educational system today. The cost of silence! How true.

You are right about teachers pay and benefits. There is one thing you missed though and that is they only work 2/3 of the year. They have almost every holiday off and they have off for 3 months in the summer to do what they will. It is almost impossible to fire them and they are set for life. I guess they won’t be happy till they have million dollar vacation homes to live in when they retire.

It’s actually not true. Public funded teachers get near equal or larger salaries than private teachers.

If you add that they pay less for pensions than private teachers pay in, the money shift becomes huge. If you also add in that private sector teachers must perform to higher standards and are usually more accountable for their teaching skills and actions, the value of that added on makes a public teaching position dramatically more desireable than all but the most lofty of private teaching positions.

Just keep in mind that this is a “union” and the idea of actually teaching youngsters was killed when it became more important to participate than to challenge and educate. There’s no good end here folks, just move along. Put your kids in private school or home school.

I sit here in wonder at Ed Asner, beneficiary of wondrous amounts of money earned from the Capitalist System, lying to the little people about how the System works. I know he gives to charities, so here’s another he could add to his list:
    Gifts to the United States
    U.S. Department of the Treasury
    Credit Accounting Branch
    3700 East-West Highway, Room 622D
    Hyattsville, MD 20782

All you envy-ers of the rich, the merely well off or of those who simply have more than you, recall that centuries of mankind’s travails have taught us to call envy a sin. Sin, in non-religious terms, means it’s bad on you, your family and friends to wish for something you were/are too lazy to work for. The Constitution based on Judeo-Christian morality helped build the best country in the world for little people such as Ed Asner to succeed and the freeest allowing him to piss on it. The California Teachers Federation is just repeating back what is said daily on conservative talk radio and written on conservative websites. You Keys agree with these statements made by the likes of Mr. Beck but disagree when Mr. Asner repeats them.

      Mr. Doren refutes nothing.

A simple case in point: The overwhelming majority of the money invested in the stock market is ownership transfer. Except for IPO’s, the stock market doesn’t capitalize industry. Money spent on stock doesn’t go to companies.

You must have watched a different video Mary, because he DID refute a good amount of idiocy in this piece of garbage propaganda. Most important of all, the video blames the economic collapse on tax cuts, that somehow the rich having too much money caused the recession of 07. Anyone with a brain and a memory longer than that of a goldfish should remember it was the collapse of the mortgage market due to bad loans they had made primarily to low income people and severe overpricing of the supply of homes which was pointed out during his critique.

For the record, what is Mr. Asner repeating that conservative figures state all the time? Last time I checked Glenn Beck wasn’t talking about the evils of tax cuts or how the “evil 1%” drained all the money from public services to line their pockets. If anything, conservatives argue the very opposite, that the public service unions are actually draining money to line their own pockets.

Thou doth protest foolishly, and I submit before the jury of the public opinion of this internet forum that YOU Marybethelizabeth are in fact out of line with your criticisms of this critique of a shoddy piece of teachers union propaganda. And that the readers must find you guilty of such!

Ed Asner is a demented washed up actor. He “Doesn’t remember making this video”? That proves he suffers from dementia!

The rebuttal is right on the money. One of the greatest expenses of Federal, State, County and City governments is RETIREMENT PLANS!! That sucks more money fron those entities budgets than most anything else.

When the video showed businesses moving overseas, it didn’t explain that UNION WAGE/RETIREMENT DEMANDS, coupled with OVER BURDENING FEDERAL STATE AND LOCAL REGULATIONS caused most businesses to move to other areas where they could make a profit. Not only that but the corporations faced such heavy taxes just to bring their earnings back into the USA, they have just left their profits overseas. Can you imagine how much good the many billions of dollars stored overseas by corporations would do for us if they could bring the money back home?

Of course the teachers who created this travesty were the farthest out of the leftists in that organization. They are a disgrace to the teaching profession. They no longer teach but only brainwash their students. A state with some of the lowest test scores and record pay and benefits for teachers, all the while instead of improving themselves, waste their time making this stupid video.

This “Classic” ranks right up there with the “Innocence of Muslims” in production and content. i wonder if it was made by the same clowns?

Anyone who thinks that this “disagreement” that exists between Progressives and Conservatives is going to be resolved peacefully is naive.

A civil war is just around the corner and its only going to take a tiny spark to get it going. Americans are very tired of each other. The Progressives are disgusted by the “ignorant” and “greedy” Conservatives. And the Conservatives are equally disgusted by the “selfish” and “ignorant” Progressives. Both sided don’t like the other for very similar reasons. And as we currently see in DC, neither side is in the mood to compromise. I’m for the Conservatives digging in and letting things go over the cliff. It’s time to fix the problem and stop kicking the can down the road. It’s past time to RESTORE our country to our MAGNIFICENT constitution.

The Progressives are generally not getting ready. I hope all you Conservatives are getting ready. It’s not just about guns and ammo. It’s about total self-sufficiency. The cities are going to be a very bad place to be when all hell breaks loose. Get out to the country. Besides, it’s better for your kids. BCCrane…..You may have something there….however….think about it. There are many countries that would relish a break up of the US. The US may get help but not as much as you think. Except for the Brits most of Europe will not make a move. Other countries who have gone through civil wars where the US dared their governments to keep killing the rebel will turn the tables. They will scream in the UN about the over-agression of US troops on it’s citizens. Guerilla war is the key if it happens again.

Socialism, you REALLY overestimate just how much the socialists of the world get along. Those 1 billion Islamist Socialists want to bring the world under Sharia Law, which will put them in conflict with the Euro socialists who whine about why everyone doesn’t get along, meanwhile the Atheists and Communists want to get rid of religion all together, and the criminals and dictators really don’t care so long as they gain more power and money.

Even if your numbers are right, it is a lot safer with those 200 million capitalists than it is with that motley crew of allies. Besides, how are you going to fight us when you can’t even keep the majority of your people healthy, clothed and fed?

Why should rich citizens of the U.S. abide by the law if illegal immigrants can come in and break our laws and that’s fine. If that’s okay it’s time for some action by our own citizens and we can decide which ones we want to abide by or not. See where we are going as a country with no right or wrong. Chaos.

Thats because the blindfold has been removed from lady justice by the libs….if your homosexual you dont have to follow DOMA. If you are an illegal alien you dont have to follow imigration laws. If your president, all you have to do is declare executive privlidge and then meet up with NBC (National Barak Channel) to have them run interference for you. If your black, you do not have to follow civil rights laws or voting laws for that matter. if you are a member of congress, you dont have to follow any laws…after all, LAWS are for us common folk….see, you have to follow only the laws our leaders have assigned to each group. kinda like the nobels in the royal family. this is the whole reason the founders came up with the RULE OF LAW. No one is above the law….well the libs sure as hell fixed that!

Another way the rich got richer was by getting up in the morning and providing a product or service that people actually want to the point they are willing to voluntarily hand over their money for the service…..I didnt really see that in that video though. The “rich people” as discribed in the video sounds an awful lot like the union bosses to me lol

After Asner said that he didn’t remember what he said in that video the interviewer said that it contained a cartoon of a rich guy peeing on poor people and ask him if that is what he inteneded. Asner said that the poor people should be peeing on the rich people and then ask the interviewer if he made good money and after confirming that then Asner said can I pee on you. Just to put this in context.

Trouble is that Asner is an avowed socialist and has been for some time now. He’s a great actor but doesn’t understand capitalism as many now don’t understand it since crony capitalism and capitalism diluted by liberalism doesn’t let capitalism do it’s magic anymore. There lyes the problem.

Actors do not understand making money via risk and reward through capitalism. Those who get rich through investment take substantial risk that5 they will lose their investment. Their investment is also critical for the economy to grow, innovation to flourish, and jobs to be created. That is why investment income is taxed at a lower rate – we want it and need it.

Actors have a similar financial risk as most middle/working class folks in the US. They sign a contract and show up for work every day like the rest of us. If they lose their job, they go looking for another, but they don’t lose what they already have, just like the middle class. They only difference is they get rich doing it while the middle/working class make money to live and hopefully a little bit more.

So Asnerites probably think the rich get rich by just showing up to work, but that only applies to actors, athletes and CEO’s. Capitalists get rich by risking the livelihood and existing treasure on innovations and inventions. If they lose, they lose a lot more than just a job.

The golden age was the post war 1950s through early 1960s. Guess what was also true about that era…union membership was at its highest.

I always feel sorry for people without a voice, who have to pay some fat cat to speak for them. WHy pay a 1% to do what you can do yourself? Dicky Trumpka did not approve your note. Did your shop steward ok your lil diatribe? What does monicene have to say? Are there pills and lots of special time involved? Do you see multiple psychologists or just one to have both personalities looked at?

No one argues (or at least the people that read don’t) that unions did have a positive effect in workers rights in the early to mid 20th century, but that doesn’t mean that their continuing existence has a positive effect just because of the history. Unions (public and private sector) have a habit of choking business or entity in fear of losing too much power over the business or govn’t entity. The bureaucracy that is unions these days go far beyond just protecting the union members. I personally love the idea of a union and have no problem supporting a group as long as they don’t have A) political ambitions or B) a cancerous leech on the business or entity its giving protection against.

Yes and it went down hill from there, I no because I have been in a union sense than. the unions are one of the problems that this county has today. I was forced to join or not work so to support my family I did. I found out reel fast what the union was for, It wasn’t the workers it for money and power.

The problem is this debunks the Communist propaganda that has become ingrained in so many minds because of the teachers unions and the MSM.
