These Charts Illustrate Just How Bad Things Are in Greece
Presented with limited commentary. The charts speak for themselves.
Total workers employed in Greece:
Total workers unemployed in Greece:
And the Greek unemployment rate:
From Zero Hedge:
It took one month for the 2013-2014 Greek medium-term unemployment target rate to be hit. The target rate? A grotesque, all time high 26%. Because as Elstat reports, this is what Greek unemployment already was in the month of September. Which means that at the time Greece was preparing its latest “Third Greek Bailout” projections in November, the rate was already well above the long-term target.
Elstat also tells us that in September, the total number of actively employed Greek workers (including government) was a tiny 3,695,053. The number of persons unemployed: 1,295,203, while the inactive ranks swelled to 3,373,692. As a reminder, last month’s 25.4% unemployment rate has been promptly surpassed in a few weeks. Finally, that powderkeg of conflict, youth unemployment, was a jawdropping 56.4%.

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 3:54pmI watched a little MSNBC last night. Sometimes I like to see how the idiots are covering the news. They were talking about the tragedy of the economy in Greece. They were completely clueless that liberal socialism was bringing exactly the same tragedy to America. With our debt our money and economy are already fake. Reality will catch up, it is just a matter of time. And these liberals remain clueless. Liberals are all either completely stupid or possessed by Satan and blinded.

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 3:36pmWestern civilization started in Greece. Could this mark the end of civilization as we know it? Just because the world is not exploding doesn’t mean it’s not going to end for some. It’ll transform itself into what?
May I suggest here to the Greeks, sell all your culture and land to China, Apple or some other cash-swimming entity? They are precious and have a lot of value! http://bit.ly/TMIdY0

Second, we are worse than Greece right now. The difference is that we can print our own currency which happens to be the global standard. We are living in a false reality which will soon shatter.

Posted on December 7, 2012 at 12:49pmYou are right the EAU’s Debt was something like 2 trillion and they didn’t have the luxury of having their currency as the marker for the world. we have 14 trillion in debt and are still spending more. what the looney left fails to realize is the the guy they voted for is devaluing their net worth. and yet the Micheal Moore’s and the J. Lo’s etc etc are destroying their very own wealth. My doctor friend who is Jewish told me once When I asked him why do so many of the Jewish faith stand against Israel and he replied that ideology trumps religion and moral relevancy. That liberal and progressiveness trump everything else including Judaism.

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 11:30amThe progressives in this country don’t believe that they are taking this country down the the Greece pathway. They believe that they will not make or are making the same mistakes as the Marxists in Europe and Russia, Cuba, Venezuela. They believe they are the smartest people on earth.
But when we become Greece and loose our industrial power, they will say, “sorry I did not know better, and you should have been more persuasive.” They never take responsibility to their actions.

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 11:16amThrough decades of mass media messaging the masses have been conditioned to believe whatever those in power want them to believe. To our invisible government rulers we are nothing but rats to be manipulated through food pellets and shock therapy. Pleasure and fear of pain are the drivers of our warped society. The ruling oligarchs truly think they know what is best for the masses and believe any means is worthwhile as long as the ends support their agenda. This is blatantly obvious to anyone with their eyes open and their brain functioning. Sadly, the government run educational system produces mostly drones that are barely able to tie their own shoes, spell Cat, or make change from a one dollar bill. Only 20% of all high school seniors score high enough on the SAT test to get a B minus in college and most of these kids come from private and parochial schools. This is exactly what those in power prefer. They want non-critical thinking, mindless consumers, who donβt understand the criminal nature of Federal Reserve created inflation or their enslavement in the chains of debt at the hands of their Wall Street slave owners. They certainly donβt want the masses to understand that real median household net worth is lower today than it was in 1969. Luckily for the oligarchs, 95% of the public couldnβt define the terms: real, median or net worth. Math is hard.

This is the same results from all of the liberals running our govt since January 2007. They love to blame Bush, but if we had a real non-partisan media, our economy response to all of Barry’s failures would look just like these graphs.
But since the administration gets to put out the data, the are always “filtered” for effect.
We are truly now a Natins of sheep.

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 10:56amIn the big cities, perhaps, but rural areas or smaller cities and towns, people find a way to be productive and do things for their families.
The very thing that makes socialism a dead end make capitalism always work… need. Socialism destoys to satisfy need, when there is nothing left to destroy, it fails and capitalism comes in. Capitalism builds and creates, it only fails when corrupted by socialism or being unthethered from some kind of real integrity.

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 10:58amYou don’t have to “wake up” to vote for a Dem. You do not need to have any understanding, any morality, any wisdom, any work ethic, any love of country, any responsible understanding of our constitution, or any faith in anything other than the false god of the state. Democrats require nothing of their constituants other than their vote. They will never wake up because their is no requirement for it.

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 11:07amThe union workers in Ohio are just as bad obviously, look at the election results. I am a very rare conservative union member. There are a few of us attempting to talk reason with our coworkers, but really it’s like asking them to cut off an appendage to even consider another point of view, let alone look up facts on their beloved obama or any liberal for that matter. They are brainwashed to believe life as they know it will end if they lose control. Governor Kasich has grossly improved things in ohio and all I hear are crickets when I mention it. They don’t want their cushy life to change and can’t see what’s coming with their heads in the sand.
