You’ll Never Guess How Many ‘Blunts’ Snoop Dogg Smokes in a Week

TORONTO, ON – SEPTEMBER 07: Actor/musician Snoop Dogg attends ‘Reincarnated’ premiere during the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival at TIFF Bell Lightbox on September 7, 2012 in Toronto, Canada. (Credit: Getty Images)
Snoop Dogg, now known as “Snoop Lion,” has been known to partake in a bit of recreational marijuana use. However, the amount of weed that Snoop actually smokes on a daily basis may shock you.
During an AMA chat on Reddit with fans about marijuana, the rapper revealed that he smokes about 81 blunts a day every day of the week. That is a grand total of 567 blunts per week! It is unclear whether Snoop was exaggerating or attempting to be humorous, however, he has not withdrawn or clarified on his estimate.
He also said actors Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson can “smoke uhearme.” Snoop went on to say that Dave Chappell is a better weed smoker than Dr. Dre.
The Huffington Post provides a recap of his chat on Reddit:
StongBad: What’s the longest you’ve gone without smoking?
164 daysshagadelik: Do you roll your own blunts or are they rolled for you?
bothavenx: What was it like working with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson in Starsky & Hutch?
Those cats can smoke uhearmeShalom86: Who’s better at smoking weed, Dave Chapelle or Dr. Dre?
Dave chappelle!martzzz: Are you always high before concerts/recordings?
yessirMarch1989: I’ve heard that you’ve said Willie Nelson is the only person who has outsmoked you. Is this true?

Willie is 1 of tha greatest to do it!! Smokn n musicspookyjack123: Do you believe in the taxation of Mary Jane with legalization, or would you prefer to see it have little to no taxes ?
Legalize it n if that means tax it then do itOn average, how much do you smoke in a week?

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 10:38pmObviously he smokes a lot, and it shows. Naming oneself Snoop Dog is a strong clue that he has smoked too much pot.
I guess I know 5-6 people who smoked pot for years, and they gradually became more and more nuts. The most disturbing thing is, they don’t recognize how nuts they are. If they did recognize it, they would be shocked and quit the stuff.

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 11:21pmI knew this girl (kid) in the ’70′s (still do) who smoked pot from her teenage years until her 40′s. The only real jobs she could perform were those that didn’t drug test. She worked mostly as a self-employed house cleaner under the table for most of her adult life. Pot was more important than anything else. She wasn’t really all that good at her cleaning job (lost accounts) but she didn’t really care either as long as she could smoke pot and pay her bills somewhat. She lived a pretty meager lifestyle.
When she hit 40 she quit the weed crap… got her act together and got a job working in the medical field as a CNA.
A couple years ago she lost her job because she made numerous and repeated mistakes over a period of time. She blames the years of smoking pot for her loss of focus and eventual confusion. She said she was on her way to moving up the chain to a higher level of Nursing care when the crap hit the fan and she sort of lost it over a short period of time.
Anyways… she’s back to cleaning houses under the table and say’s if she had to do it all over again she’d have never touched the stuff. I believe her and believe pot screwed up her life. Yep, her choice.

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 11:36pmI also know ex Military men who were in good condition until they got back home. The Psychiatrist started giving him pills and his life just got even worse. He constantly had panic attacks and soon died sleeping. I also know a bunch of people who drank and took pills and never woke up. I also know a bunch of people who drank, got in a fight and killed some one. I also know people who smoke marijuana and got straight A’s in College and now works a good job. Stop acting like a hypocrite.

Posted on December 7, 2012 at 8:56amI smoked pot every day for 23 years. In that time frame I had 2 different jobs, one as a design engineer for a steel fabrication company that built shipping racks for major auto manufacturers. Then I ran a computer and printer repair business for 13 years. Was a single father and raised my son, now in his 20′s. Things took a turn in the economy and the computer place closed it’s doors, leaving me out of a job.
Since then, I quit smoking pot and my health and life in general has gone downhill. Had a cataract in my late 30′s which left me blind in one eye after a failed surgery. Had a heart attack in ’05 and a triple bypass last April. Have been pretty unsuccessful in finding full time work and have been jumping from job to job to make ends meet.
Now, looking at the past 20+ years of my life, things were great. Had money, lived in nice places, great health & couldn’t ask for more. The last 7 years, pot free, have been the worst years of my life. I have no memory problems and none of the Dr’s. I’ve seen contribute smoking pot to any of my health problems. As a matter of fact, numerous eye Dr’s claimed that smoking pot more than likely was aiding in the prevention of that cataract causing me problems and my heart Dr’s seem to think that pot kept my nerves at bay causing less stress on my body as a whole. Still looking for a job that pays well enough for me to take smoking pot back up than maybe my life and health in general will return to ‘normal’..

His Mom nick-named him Snoopy- Dog when he was an infant because he has huge ears. The name stuck.

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 10:37pmI’m going to say he’s exaggerating to keep an image. I wouldn’t be surprised if he rarely smokes it and only says he does to sound cool to the people he’s selling albums too. I mean that’s like 10 ounces of pot a day.

Posted on December 7, 2012 at 6:53amI agree that he exaggerated- though i do believe Snoop’s a wake-and-bake all day toker….
And since he’s followed by a posse, i don’t doubt that 81 blunts a day are lit in his presence and he probably takes a puff or two off of most of them…
When you burn constantly, as with anything else, the law of “diminishing returns” applies.
If you are an all day- every day- toker, it takes a lot of pot to get high, or you have to constantly switch varieties.
i wouldn’t doubt that he personally inhales over a 1/4 oz of good stuff a day ($120-$150) or if he’s burning crappy shwag, over a 1/2 oz. ($100- $180)

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 10:32pmA winter’s day
In a deep and dark December;
I am alone,
Gazing from my window to the streets below
On a freshly fallen silent shroud of snow.
I saw Barack,
On Staten Island.
We had walls,
A fortress deep and mighty,
That none may penetrate.
We couldn’t stop the wind, the flood and the rain.
His chatter and his leaving I disdain.
I saw Barack ,
On Staten Island.
God Up Above
OH YOU’VE heard OUR PRAYERS before;
PLEASE KEEP US in YOUR memory.
We won’t disturb the MEMORY OF FRIENDS AND FAMILY WHO have died.
If WE never loved WE never would have cried.
WE saw Barack,
On Staten Island.
They came and looked
And promised to protect me;
Were told shielded oh, by Fema,
Hiding in my room, which nearly was my tomb.
I touch no one and no one touches me.
I am a rock,
I am an island.
And Barack feels no pain;
To the Islands, away he flies.

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 9:54pmMaybe, just maybe you can do all those things and still smoke dope. Maybe the general public is still very ignorant about why Cannibis is illegal. For example, did you know that Cannibis is classified as a drug by and international forum to regulate Opium, however one of the participants was in a political battle with an opponet that dealt in Hash Hish, since cannibis is needed for Hash, and he wanted to harm his opponets business, this member had Cannibis added to the list of drugs. Then in the U.S. when the lumber industry and the petrochemical industry saw the threat that hemp plants was to them, they lobbied to have it deemed illegal. Hence the great big War on Drugs.

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 9:22pmSnoop knows that y’all can’t do arithmetic, so he tossed out an outrageous number. Let’s see, if he sleeps only 6 hours a day (and I doubt it’s that few) then that leaves 18 hours in a day to smoke 81 blunts. That’s about 4.1/4 per hour. Sure, he can finish one in less than 15 minutes, all day for 18 hours and I’m…well, never mind.
Let the ignorant comments begin…

Posted on December 6, 2012 at 10:18pmIt would be interesting to see how much weed has affected his performance. However, we don’t have a baseline for him to consider how agile or intelligent he would be without smoking weed (They say it affect coordination).
Since he is a high profile celebrity It could be considered newsworthy because he is an advocate & an object lesson. Of course if he has a bad outcome he won;t blame poor choices.
It is news because popular culture is a determinant as much as industry, science & other thing in how our nation turns out. We need to keep tabs on people even if they are stupid (but popular).
