Allen West: ‘Silly’ for Republicans to Negotiate With ‘Marxist, Socialist, Rigid Ideologue’ Obama

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) on Thursday called it “silly” for Republicans to negotiate with “Marxist, socialist, rigid ideologue” President Barack Obama.

Speaking on Mark Levin’s radio program, West said the GOP needs to stop its “circular firing squad” and focus on “unity based upon principles.”

“This whole thing about having having negotiations with President Obama is silly,” West said. “President Obama is Marxist, socialist, rigid ideologue and for whatever reason, he believes he has some self-conceived mandate to go out and further destroy and ruin our economy.”

House Republicans and the White House have been deadlocked over how to deal with the looming “fiscal cliff,” which will trigger automatic tax hikes and sharp spending cuts unless both sides can reach a budget agreement before the end of the year.

West, a Tea Party firebrand who lost his re-election bid last month, said that instead of wasting time negotiating with Obama, it’s up to House members to go out and “pass good policy,” then turn to the media and say, “we’ve done our job now what are you going to do.”

true American patriot being screwed by democratic politicans, politicans who have the audacity to stand in front of the American flag when they speak their diatribe. They do everything possible to stop our American soldiers from sending in their absentee ballet, yet try to change the laws so felons can’t vote. Most West ‘idol worshipers’ don’t have a clue how he voted. They just hear his rhetoric on few second clips here and there. I can assure you that West has voted as Brother Winston claims. He’s essentially said by his voting record that he doesn’t believe in the 1st, 4th, 6th, and 10th amendments in two years as a Tea Party member.   The answer to Ron Paul running as a Republican is what’s going on right now within the Republican Party. If Paul had run as a 3rd party candidate he never would have been allowed into the debates and his message would not have spread like it has. It’s largely because of him that the GOP leadership is being exposed as top-down dictators. If it wasn’t for his supporters in Tampa, we never would have seen the corruption of Romney, Boehner, Priebus, et al. on display so blatantly on national TV. Anyone with a brain knows the establishment ran a rigged convention down there. And now, at least a couple of Ron Paul supporting congressman have been booted off their committees because they are fiscal conservatives. Now it’s not just Paul supporters who notice this, it’s talk radio as well. His message is getting out and becoming more mainstream within the party, even if he never receives the credit he is due from fools like you.

  Socialism is a form of government (or, perhaps a “goal of” government), while Marxism is a belief system that emphasizes class struggle to reach the end goal of “Communism” (as Marx described it, of course, no matter that small groups of people had lived in communistic societies for thousands of years before Marx.
  Actually, many socialists are also Marxists (who see socialism as a “steeping stone” in the Marxist game plan). You probably already knew that, I suppose, and thought that West was guilty of redundancy and you wanted to poke fun. If you underestimate West’s grasp of the concepts of Marxism or Islamism, you (sadly) have a great deal of company. I wonder if there is racism afoot? Is that a dog whistle that I am hearing?

  That’s an effect not a goal of socialism and Marxism–the problem isn’t that there IS disparity, the problem is when that disparity has negative consequences. It’s the consequence that must be corrected–sometimes that will have a direct effect of reducing the disparity itself, and sometimes no, but it isn’t the stupid strawman you set up of “oh, differences are problematic in and of themselves.” If massive wealth disparity didn’t undermine aggregate demand and diminish optimal social utility, it WOULDN’T be a problem–but it DOES, and so it is a matter of public concern.

Here is the situation.

Going off the fiscal cliff is an Obama wet dream. Taxes go up on everyone, the military gets hammerred, spending goes up everywhere else and in the end Obummer get to ride in on his white horse qand demand that the GOP give the middle class back there money (reduce tax rate back to Bush on 250K or less). The debt hits 23 Billion in 4 years, we become Greece and the GOP gets the historical blame for agreeing to this.

Now why would Obummer cut a better deal with the GOP when he can have this? He won’t! Any deal will be worse with the same result.

THEREFORE COLONEL WEST IS RIGHT!!!!!!!

The only exception being killing Hollywood with confisctory taxes now.

Col West pegs it. We fought communists in Vietnam. We fought them in Korea. We fought them in the cold war with tanks and nuclear bombs. Obama will never admit he is a communist just like Roosevelt would never admit it. His administration would be destroyed if he did. We would have every right to take up arms against him and remove him forceably from office. Instead, he hides behind stupid democrats.

  I like West but not in political office. West talks a big game but does not follow through. He knowing voted against our liberties and freedom to indefinitely detain American citizen without warrant or a trail and voted to keep increasing spending multiple times.

  “Nothing”, while taking a principled stand for fiscal responsibility, smaller government and Constitutional strict construction, is better than caving in to the Obama Administration and raising taxes without any quid pro quo on cutting entitlement spending. Lap-dog Press or not, if this economy crashes any worse than it already has, Obama owns it. The Dems control the Senate and have not allowed a budget to pass in almost 4 years.   If Obama doesn’t negotiate he still gets what he wants. We go over the fiscal cliff and the taxes go back up to what they were before the Bush tax cuts. Obama wins without having to lift a finger. If Republicans will negotiate they will get some of what they want, just like Soy said.
  
  Either way, at this point, the taxes on the rich will go up. If the fiscal cliff is not avoided, and taxes for (almost) everyone increases, then Republicans will get most, if not all of the blame for it, making election bids for 2014 even more unlikely.
  
  Rand Paul believes that Republicans should let Obama “win” this one, that way he will wholly own it if things go south. I tend to agree with that sentiment.

The Democrats play chess, we play checkers.

Who is driving the culture? Rich liberal elites are. So there is a Cliff? The GOP should make them be the first to take the plunge. The GOP should not stand on principle, hey need to play some poker.

Agree with Obama that the 1% should bear the brunt of the tax burden. Send Obama a bill that says, we are not interested in raising taxes on Mr. and Mrs. Mainstreet and the middle class so we are going to reduce their taxes by 50% on income below 1 million dollars. All income over one million dollars, i.e. Wall St. Fat Cats (read Buffet), Actors (read Ed Asner, Stewart and Letterman) , Bankers (read Obama Guitner bundlers) will be taxed at a 95% rate including capitol gains.

Then you will see a Morsi moment. Hollywood, NBA, NFL, and Wall Street will be storming the white house. Obama will be forced to defend the Uber rich while the GOP champions the middle class.

Hollywood will learn ASAP, “be careful whqat you wish for cause here it is”.
