The Amazing Sleight-of-Hand Video That Will Have You Rewinding and Watching Again

Meet Yann Frisch. He’s the type of guy who could rob Peter to pay Paul even if the person’s name was Peter Paul. In other words, hide all your valuables when you get around him. Why? Because he’s one of the best sleight-of-hand magicians we’ve seen. In fact, we are quite confident you’ll be rewinding the video below that shows his take on the classic “cups and ball” trick:

Oh, I was assuming this guy had really tiny hands based on the headline… I think you were looking for “Sleight of Hand.” Terrible, terrible editors at the Blaze… Silly mistakes like this happen regularly and are why this network will never be taken seriously…

  I agree. There are some really sloppy mistakes on here that oftentimes could be caught by simply reading over what they had written before posting. Not only that, but so many of the titles have such an unprofessional feel to them and get very repetitive.
  
  I submitted a resume for their weekend editor position a year or two ago and never heard from them, yet that position remained open for the longest time. I guess they have never been that serious about editing around here.

  @MMCDOLE – You read my mind. These are silly errors, no network with errors like these will go anywhere. Just the other day I saw similar errors in little known sites like CNN and AP oh and not to forget FOX. I am a huge fan of GB and what he is doing here. This network will take off despite the errors, but… Please Glenn lets hold your editors to a higher standard than the rest!

  Shouldn’t you check out the ratings of the Glenn Beck Show, Real News, and the Blaze in print before you make such a blanket statement? I will take the source of which I am able to verify the truth of matters WITH as many misspelled words as do occur, before I will return to watching those I have verified on more than one occasion to be liars. I do watch others that I have deemed to give me a balance to my own views. A good example is Anderson Cooper. Sometimes I disagree with Glenn, and Anderson – just makes for a lively show at my home. i have the option of writing to them when I think their opinions are in error, but do not waste my time on a misspelled word. I wonder how many of the articles with misspellings are incoming from an IPad. I am about sick of IPad changing my word spellings / meanings. It is time for all of us to turn off that IPad option.

Well I see that we have the all the usual comments and then some. If I wanted to I could slow down the video and analyze it and tell you every move he made. But what would be the point? Look this was just a break in reality and should be taken as such. Slight of hand is just that a polished practiced illusion to decieve the eye. Just enjoy it and move on.

  I could figure out this guy is very fast; distracts the eye very well; and good at what he does. The water was poured into a container in his lap; same with the red balls; during his distractions, his hands went into his lap many,many times; and the end he picked up the cup of water from his lap. Hey, all you grammar freaks: Try criteria (plural word for singular subject), media (ditto), “as best as” (just plain dumb — why the second “as”?), (adjective) of a (noun) — what’s the “of” for?, “whom” for “who” (pay attention, Mark Levin), “myself” for “me” — why be afraid of a simple pronoun?… I could go on, but it’s time for bed. Seems we’re not taught grammar any more anyway; it’s gone the way of cursive writing.

Can I say trick video or a 3D laser holographic light show. Do we know for sure if this is a real live performance in public? I say that because the cup & balls disappeared before they were off camera in mid air when he threw them away. Unless they were fast dissolving props or moving at the speed of light they were holographic projections. Either way it is a trick video or a 3D laser holographic light show not slight of hand. I doubt this could be done on your average public stage without a 3D laser light holographic setup to project the balls & cups onto the table. You can do a lot of fantastic things with Holographs. I only needed to watch 1 time.

I think that the cup is open on both ends, with a partition in the middle. I also believe that the pitcher is also open on both ends, and is used to funnel the balls to under the table.

Also, the cup and pitcher are thin mylar, with wire to give them their shape, and makes them very easy to collapse.

  While I didn’t see every move like DAVE88 says he did, I did see quite a few tells in his work.
  DLV – He got the water in the cup at the end by grabbing a different cup from behind the table. Why do you think he put his hands under the table so often? At 4:26 his left hand goes under the table and then comes back up a different cup with water in it.
  At 1:13 you can see him bring the fourth ball to the table with his right hand as it comes from under the table.
  His left hand drops one of two balls behind the table as he crosses over his right arm. And then there were 3.
  He drops one of two balls from his right hand onto his lap at 1:34. Now there are only 2.
  At 1:40 he drops another ball into his lap. Watch as he raises his hands and then brings them down again to the table. The ball was already gone. Now there’s 1.
  Watch his right hand at 1:45 as it goes under the table. He palms a red ball while holding the cup to drink .As he holds the cup to his lips you can easily see the ball in his hand.
  His most blatant mistake is at 1:54 when he brings a ball up from under the table in his left hand. He places it on the table behind the cup then lifts the cup as if the ball just fell out of it.
  I have a question for all. Do you think he has an assistant under the table helping him with his routine?
