B.S. of A.: Brian Sack Attacked on the Subway, New York Post Photographer Takes Pictures to Help

“The B.S. of A.”‘s Brian Sack was attacked on the New York subway, but was lucky enough to have a New York Post photographer jump in and save the day…or not.

The photog’s idea of taking pictures to alert the police — similar to the explanation Post freelancer R. Umar Abbasi gave after snapping the image of a trapped man before he was killed on the tracks — was of little comfort to Sack.

Watch the sketch below:

“The B.S. of A.” airs Saturdays at 10 p.m. on TheBlaze TV.

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

Political satire many time is not funny, because it is too true or if you will to close to the wound. Brian and crew are funny and the appeal is to a broad range of people not just to YOU only. I like some I hate some but it is on a level with others in the field. Those who think Glenn writes everything on the Blaze are much to naive to be reading here thy the funny papers.

It appears to me that there are several trolls on here today…….Brian Sack has a form of VERY dry humor……..it is something that either you like or dislike…..Personally, I love it…..my husband has the same type of humor and could be a comedian and I have thoroughly enjoyed the humor for over 40 years now…….love ya, Brian….keep up the good work

Glenn brings folks like Penn on his program and his news site gives us stories like this? Is THIS where we’re heading this year. If so, Not interested! I watch Glenn and come here for truth. Not looking like we’re getting it anymore!

      CANYOU

I was informed by a longtime reader here that TheBlaze now is not a news site and is just a blog. To me it is just like a “Readers Digest” or “Vouge” magazine.

Its all about the money and TheBlaze cant compete with http://www.drudgereport.com or http://www.breitbart.com

I come here just to see how many if any at all news stories get reported. Today it is none, nada and zip.

Andrew Clavan is really funny. I saw him on You Tube where he makes fun of The Left by pointing out that whenever they get “offended” it’s really about “SHUT-UP!”. Example: When they censor certain words, or call people names, or they don’t like the subject matter, etc., in other words……”SHUT-UP!” He’s witty, intelligent, humorous, and I also really like Ami Horowitz (last name? The ‘U.N. Me’ guy). Real talent with those two. These are the kind of people conservatives can get in order to infiltrate the leftist ‘culture’ and win in that arena. Breitbart was also one of the true talents who really understood the culture and technical advantages needed to succeed in that way. I really miss Andrew a lot!!

OK Brain and Jack, the show is definitely getting better! Your skits are funny, I really loved the one where you were at Jacks house vying for attention with the new baby! LOL!

However, most Conservatives will not appreciate the humor of the guy who was thrown onto the subway and killed. Too soon, my friend. We are not Progressives, we actually do care about people who are brutally murdered. Had you done the skit in like 6 months, it probably would have been better received. But no guarantees there.

I have zero idea why you cling to, “The Experts”. I am going to be brutally honest here, its just stupid. Its annoying and I have no idea why you think its funny in the least, other than you have a great deal of European humor in your blood for some reason. Let it go, Brian. Have a funeral for the skit on Monday, grieve, get drunk, celebrate its life, and then move on. There, I just gave you the premise for your next skit.

Why not introduce a comedy skit where Progressives are debating Conservatives on relevant issues, and the Progressives always end up screaming, “Racist”, or just chanting slogans when confronted with common sense? I know this kind of skit would be offensive to Jack Helmuth, but he needs to ask himself, does he want to provide for his family or give the audience Conservative humor for which he was hired?

Buddies, I’m on your side and I love you both. But Glenn is gonna cancel the program unless you get this figured out, and bring i

      Karen,

I’m going to do something I’ve never done and defend a sketch on a message board. I’m not interested in defending myself or The Experts or anything else…but I will defend this sketch.

Your premise is that Conservatives don’t appreciate this sketch because they care about people where Progressives don’t. Caring about people IS THE POINT OF THIS PIECE. We used our method of expression to show how insane it is to not help someone who is within reach of being saved. What can be better aligned with the Conservative values of which you speak? Our sketch says it’s terrible to sit idly by. Glenn always preaches about helping your neighbor and not waiting for the government (in this case the police) to do it for you. Well, that’s what we say in this sketch. You can not like sketches – that’s fine. That’s what comes with working in comedy (some sketches will be loved, some won’t land). But the premise that it doesn’t work because it violates Conservative principles is flat wrong. Our statement has been made, and we’re proud of it and stand by it.

Thank you for your continued support of the show, though! Very much appreciated.

      Jack

Point taken, Jack. Yes, after rewatching it, I can see where you were trying to convey the message of people not helping people. I will admit, I didn’t get that the 1st time I watched it. For that, I apologize. Rather, I saw it as a comedy skit about a recent murder of a man who was trying to help his fellow passengers who were frightened.

I do want you both to succeed. What you both are attempting is incredibly difficult in the world of comedy: “Conservative humor”. I will tell you the truth from my perspective, on what I think of the show. I won’t just say you’re not funny without telling you why. That doesn’t help either one of you in any way.

I will always be a cheerleader for you and I will never quit watching the show. You both are very talented and making great strides in this area. Of course not everything is going to be a hit. That’s not possible given the audience you have. But you are making great strides, and I believe you both can do it.

We know there’s a huge void for comedy that is fair, funny, and unique. We run ourselves into the ground trying to do that each week to make you (our audience) laugh. That’s the goal – to put a smile on people’s faces.

I agree, I think the show is good but really needs to stick to the gags that work like Pumpernickel Boulevard, I love the ‘unofficial sponsor’ skits and some other topical stuff. I also think Brian tries to do the cold openings and monologues a little too ummm cold. I believe the show would GREATLY – GREATLY benefit from the presence of a live audience.

I like the show. My favorite one was when they did the airport skit. I think they are best when they do skits though, I really can’t stand the panel part of the show, when they talk about things that Brian wants to talk about, the “panelists” are really irritating. The wanna be actor from last night just made me want to scream he was so irritating. I did like when Brian would bring in somebody to interview at the end of his shows. Seems he has replaced that with the irritating panel. But it’s all good, I am glad Glenn has this show, breaks up the doom and gloom.

If I had more information on the distance between the photographer and the victim, and the amount of time between the photographer seeing the man on the tracks and the time the train would arrive at his location, I could comment.

since I don’t know how much time he had, I can’t take a stand as to whether the guy was right or wrong to shoot photos of the impending tragedy.

If I knew those two factors, I would either be the photographers BEST advocate, or his worst detractor.

I CAN tell you this: On my flash unit, there is a button that can fire the strobe without taking a photo. It would actually be FASTER to flash using this button, because the flash will fire without the camera having to achieve focus on something. However, he might not have had an external flash, and/or his external flash might not have this button. Again, without all the facts I’d be pontificating on thing I know very little about.

Why do people see the need to take a side in a story such as this when they CLEARLY don’t have all the facts.

While I trust the Blaze far more than any other news organization to bring the the WHOLE story, sometimes the whole story isn’t known to anyone who wasn’t there.

Let’s stop taking sides on things where we don’t have all the facts. That’s just another way the mainstream press is working to divide us.

Seekeremerald, I definitely agree with your statement. If this skit was done on the actual time of the event that would speak volumes. It is a tragedy that no one offered assistance. I imagine they were frightened that if they went over he would toss one of them on the tracks as well. However, if multiple people went the likelihood of that occurring would be significantly less. Sad, and tragic for this family.
