Cory Booker Says He’ll Decide Within 2 Weeks Whether to Run Against Chris Christie

AP
Democratic Newark, N.J. Mayor Cory Booker said Sunday he’ll decide within two weeks whether to challenge Republican Gov. Chris Christie next year.
Booker told CBS’ “Face the Nation” he is “absolutely considering” running for governor, and is also looking at a Senate run “a lot as well.”
He said the question is “where do I believe I can make the best difference for the city I love, the state I love and the nation that I’ve pledge my life to.”
Booker, who emerged this year as something of a Democratic Party rock star, said it’s imperative for him to decide soon.
“I’ve got to give my party and be a part of my party’s push forward, whether it’s with me as a candidate or with supporting other candidates for that office,” he said.
Booker recently accepted a Twitter challenge to live off food stamps for a week.

Posted on December 10, 2012 at 5:56amJust as I had been right about the wrongful upholding of the “Affordable Health Care Act”, Romney unfortunately not standing a snowballs chance with the Presidency run and now with this race I will predict Chris Christie is Finished as Gov, I am pleased because it was his own doing. The only thing that cannot be processed out of Christie is the squeal!!!!! BTW there will be many, many more loses for Republicans before this is all over and only then when the Democrats destructive behavior be exposed will the people look back to Conservatives.

Posted on December 10, 2012 at 9:14amActually, Chris Christie has a high approval rating in NJ because he has done the one thing that matters most to the people of the state. He used the incredibly strong powers of his office granted by the state constitution to reign in the out-of-control spending and taxation that was hurting the people of the state. If fraud does not carry the election, Chris Christie will likely win based on his record.
I am getting sick and tired of all of the fat jokes from conservatives. What hypocrisy that those who claim to be about merit are judging Chris Christie on his appearance. Also, Christie is not a RHINO, he is a NJ Republican. That means he has to represent the people of his state, not people from the Midwest or the Bible Belt. As a social conservative from NJ, I approve of Christie because he is not trying to legislate morality.
Instead of whining about Christie in their losing hissy fit, the Romney Campaign should have learned from him. Christie won by focusing on the problems in NJ and offering solutions to the problems that were within the powers of the governorship to accomplish.

Posted on December 10, 2012 at 6:13pmAs a “Social Conservative” you should have decried Christies pleas to the “King with no Cloths” . Your state behaves in the thuggish way just like the city of Chicago. Do you really think the aide given from this administration does not come without a price? Any state that deals with it is compromised immediately. You should be demanding your Gov to tell the people of NJ that “We will do it on our own so as to show America how to stand up again!!!!!!” Pull your boot straps up, organize, walk across the lawn to your neighbor and start rebuilding her shed, take that $7.00 you would spend on the Large Mocca Mocca, Latte Latte, Extra Extra, Cream, Nuts and a Cherrie everyday put it in a jar and pass it around.

Posted on December 10, 2012 at 5:33amI saw this guy over the weekend claiming he was living on food stamps to point out the plight of the poor. On and on he went about the sweet patato he burned and that he had no coffee. Thirty dollars a week is not enough for food he claimed. “what a steaming pile”
So here is his message “You don’t need a job if I can get you more wealthfare”
If you are hungry Mr. Booker do like they say in the EBT rap video, go to the store and get a big bag of chips and a big gulp and pay for it with food stamps. Make sure that big gulp is under 16 ounces and the chips have no salt on them or Bloomberg will send in a swat team.
I have an idea, how about getting those NJ citizens out of the FEMA camps and back into their homes for Xmas……..

Damn RNC made Christie their keynote speaker and then he turned right around and slammed Romney while sucking up to barry at the same time. He had a HUGE part in barry’s re-election because of that. If it’s between a demoncrap or a demoncrap that pretends to be a Republican – matters not to me. Both suck. Just sayin’. (I bet Ann Coulter is eating her shorts! LOL)

Posted on December 9, 2012 at 9:23pmWhat everybody in America needs to understand: NJ is as corrupt as it gets, period. NJ is REALLY run by old school party bosses.
Democrat party bosses control the state. They control jobs, the entire state legislature, fundraising, street money, etc, etc, etc. Chris Christie should be investigating the party bosses, but he choose not to.
NJ politics is all an inside game, Christie and Booker both answer to the same party bosses, and they are both a media creation. Glenn could fill a years worth of programming on the corruption, the connections, the system, etc. It would blow your mind to learn the truth of the corruption in NJ.
As for Christie, he has some real emotional issues to deal with. In addition to the fact he regularly lies and contradicts himself, he is very much dislike by those who are in his own party. His staff is arrogant, Christie himself cares only about himself, and if not for his sharp tongue, he would be just another failed, self serving Governor of NJ.
The only reason Chris has support is simple: he knows how to play to the cameras. Nothing in NJ has really changed. Corruption is still rampant, taxes among the highest in the country, government and debt have grown, etc.
It’s hard to believe, but the disagreement Chris has with the senate president is largely for show. The speaker of the assembly is a puppet. And Cory Booker, who is NEVER seen w. a woman, is part of the same game.
You can bet Christie/Booker both consult regularly w

Posted on December 10, 2012 at 9:31amFor such a short post, you revealed a lot about yourself. One, Christie VETOED the gay marriage law. This law was actually forced by the court system of NJ, not at all supported or pushed by the governor. Get your facts before insulting someone. Also, while I believe that homosexual behavior is a sin, that does not eliminate the reality that the Log Cabin Republicans exist. Since adultery does not disqualify a person from the Republican Party, it is hypocritical to exclude any person based on who they have sex with. The real question is whether the person believes the government should force their behavior on other people.
Compare Christie with Christine Todd Whitman, a former Republican governor of NJ, and you might actually learn what a great step up Christie is for NJ.

Posted on December 9, 2012 at 3:33pm33: Fiscal conservatives are just fed up with the over-spending of the “progressives” of both parties. Then there was that end of the election/ tight race issue which left many Republicans upset that Christie seemed to go out of his way to ” make nice” with the suddenly bi-partisan Obama, who has gone out of his way to usurp congressional powers and to demonize / isolate congress for 4 years, when such an important race was at stake. You , 33, should listen to the fiscal conservatives. They know how completely insane this over-spending and how dangerous this deficit is to your future.
