Let’s take a break from some of the more depressing news of the day and enjoy what is likely be one of the worst free throws in the history of ever:

But let’s cut Appalachian State center Brian Okam a little slack. His botched free throw on Sunday (that’s gone viral) doesn’t necessarily mean he’s a terrible basketball player. It’s more likely he’s a little rusty.

Okam has “attempted only five free throws all season (and made two) and 22 (and made 12) in your three-year collegiate career, which includes a season at Rutgers,” according to the Los Angeles Times.

So maybe he was just a little out of practice. Still, it doesn’t take away from the fact that this was a pretty awful free throw.
