If you were ever in doubt what type of thinking this administration fosters, this clip should put any debate to rest.
Appearing Monday morning on CBS, Obama’s jobs council head and the CEO of GE Jeffrey Immelt said that one thing that “actually works” is “state-run Communism” in China.
After host Charlie Rose brought up the “growth rate” of China falling from double digits to about eight percent, Immelt chimed in.
“Look, I think it’s good for China,” he said. “To a certain extent, Charlie, 11 to 12 percent is unsustainable. You end up getting too much stimulus or a misallocation of resources. They are much better off working on a more consumer-based economy, less dependent on exports, driving technology and innovation harder. Really, the one thing that actually works, state run communism may not be your cup of tea, but their government works.”
“They get things done,” Rose responded.

Country folks can’t move to the city and there are no social services. It’s work or die. Get sick you go to the state hospital were your family is required to provide food and care for you while there. Guilty of a capital crime ? Go to court on a Tuesday executed on a Friday.

You do “keep moving work” like building ghost cities who have not one resident. Nearly 800 million of your people are starving and at poverty subsistence level at best. You dictate how many children your people can have. You control their press. You imprison those who speak out against your leaders. You execute people for basic managerial mistakes. And oh yeah, most of your economy depends on a capitalist nation across the sea being more or less forced to accept your product by default through bogus trade agreements.

Case in point when you put amines in milk to fool protein tests, they track you down, try you & execute you.
China will follow the American model in copyright protection. Americans did not follow copy right protection in the early years of the Republic. but that all changed when they wanted to protect their work. they passed the laws & countries like England were happier about it. China will do the same. It took the U.S. a long time. It will take China longer than we want. We should press them on it, much like England pressed us on it.

Some fixes are so easy. It is easier than dying or paying form some armed guards to protect your azz when people revolt due to working conditions.
I don’t know what to do about working hours in Foxconn. You can get a Chinese worker to work more than 40 hours a week. But their hours are crazy. You are just looking for all sorts of problems from quality to unrest.
I-phones need to cost more. People need to hang onto them longer, & Apple could have less profit. No reason for people working 12 hours a day for 7 days a week for who knows how long. It is feasible in the short term but it is not feasible over the long haul. And that is a provable fact. Yo can put #s to it & relate it back to basic biology with #s.

As for their economy, China for some time now has been practicing “State run Capatilism”, although not a true free market as we have here in America, they have opened their makets significantly. Just as Russia has. Yet our Socialist leader is taking us in the opposite direction, full speed into the darkness both China and Russia are leaving behind. China was smart enough to see how well Hong Kong was doing under British rule that when they took Honk Kong back and placed it under Commuinist rule, they allowed the markets to remain close to as they were. They’re better off because of it economically, although Communist at heart, they have learned first hand the horrors caused by such rule.

I don’t think this guy is anything but a tyrant, he does not care about freedom at all. He is so rich he does not need to worry about govmt because he has bought and paid for the govmt. Guy’s like Imelt and Bloomberg are dangerous men.

He will get to live in a nice house, his family will get access to the dwindling resources of the failing state, and he will be in charge. His children will be wealthy, and go to the best schools, and when they grow up they will also be in charge of the rest of us.
It’s a beautiful system for tyrants. I can see why he would approve.

You can build phantom cities to keep prices and growth artificially high, you won’t actually house people in there, even your most poor because you’d crash the value of your real estate, so you keep them empty, always in need of repair and have a job for those in your party that you need to keep on the leash to help keep the rest of the population in line. It’s a wonderful system!
You can trash your environment, kill and maim as many as you like because they will always reproduce. When you create a wasteland that has people dying by the thousands before they ever reach 50, it’s not a problem, it’s a solution to that population problem and you don’t need to pay for medical expenses beyond treatments that never work. It’s a wonderful system!
In China, every time a bell rings, another party-man gets his wings… at the expense of a previous party man who’s now fallen and won’t be let up. It’s a wonderful system!

If you’ve ever had experience dealing with Chinese business you know how the government treats them.
In China..the government approaches the business and says “what can the government do to help you?”.
In America right now..the government approaches business and says..”what can I take from you?”.
The Chinese government is not being benign here or free market, quite the contrary..China manipulates it currency, offers appalling work conditions to it’s under-class and even though pay has gone up..it’s still very low. No..China is being smart and thinking strategically and long term..it’s allowing business to grow unfettered because that means bigger revenues, which in turn means greater power in today’s world. Look at Europe on it’s knees in another recession. Look at the U.S facing another recession. Now look at China expanding it’s influence?

It’s the UNIONS in this country that are forcing manufacturing jobs here to be outsourced due to the high wage that the UNIONS want. And our illustrious President is being backed by Unions so our President’s Administration that has been outsourcing jobs to other countries and not the REPUBLICANS.

I’m a 44 yr old part time student, disabled, married. My writing assignment was to do a letter to the editor in a local paper and try to get it published. I tried to cover Agenda 21 in 150-200 words. I’m an “A” student and can write decently. The instructor failed me because my OPINION was “conspriatorial” and didn’t have adequate backing (like the U.N. link I provided). She also said using Communist and Marxist terminology aka “being herded into serfdom” was paranoia and doesn’t spark civil conversation.
My papers all received A’s until she went on my facebook to see an extremely hateful post I made against the election results. I warned those of my friends not to rub it in my face or I’d tear their f*****g throats out. Though a public posting, I have to wonder why an instructor feels it compulsory to be on a student;s facebook page and then change that persons grading criteria. I have other students work that received A’s and their work was the same or less supported than mine. She openly invited a reaction in the classroom by quoting my facebook and saying, “what kind of monsters are people who would say these things just because their person didn’t win?”
I didn’t engage her. I believe she wanted confrontation to discredit me. The Marine and top student in the room knew about Agenda 21. She said I’m reacting to Beck propaganda. I will formally report her after taking my final.
Our kids are being scared into being brainwashed.

Spot on, your assesment is exactly what is so terifying about state run communisim. When you don’t consider human nature socialism sounds like a glorious thing, we all work we all receive what we need. However humans can be lazy or greedy because of that the system would never work.
Tyrants like Bloomberg and Imelt really believe that they are so smart that life would be better for all of us if we just did what they command. I’m going to do my best to buy as little from any GE entity as I can until this man is no longer running them.

China’s manpower resource is as plentiful as ther raw resources and in both cases, personel and enviroment mean nothing in the business plan. Labor unions arose as the result of greedy owners, mistreatment of employees, unsafe working conditions. I think the pendulum swung to far but the core function of the union is to protect the welfare of it’s members.

Yes, the labor unions arose as an answer to monopolists themselves, but then became labor monopolists.
They should have been careful as they went to clean the swamp, not to become swamp things themselves.
Collectivism fails everywhere its been tried, government, unions, socialist countries, anywhere and everywhere the cons can convince you to pool your resources as a part of a “benevolent society”, the promises always exceed the ability to deliver, and the little man gets the shaft again.
This is why Illinois and California cannot pay their debts.

Business is actually growing in FL while some smaller businesses are struggling some aren’t. There are several reasons why some states fail and some grow, right to work and balanced budgets are two of them.

As i walk through lowes(10% disabled vet discount) with the salesman picking out what i want. He keeps pointing out GE products. i finally turn to the guy as was like, im sorry but i will not buy anything GE, please stop pointing out there products.
He then was wonderign why I was so against GE and i told him everything i know about them and afterwords he said, i wont be pointing out GE to customers anymore. I felt I had done my part, atleast for that day.

Then he can have the unions in league with the government, take over control of the big government run companies to provide the only option for availible jobs. GM was a test case. You want a job? But now, they have so much technology from us and scale of production because of us that they’re going to exceed us. NOT because of their government, but because of the people and slave labor

That would be correct! And one way they have gotten our technology?…….
China’s student-spy network.
That’s not my guess or conspiracy theory, but comes from our own intelligence/counter-intelligence network. Some are recruited in China before coming to our universities (or as a condition for coming to our universities), and some are recruited AT our universities. There are Chinese student groups which have received money (for their student social organizations) from OUR OWN universities. Sometimes, universities DO work with our counter-intelligence networks to catch these spys. Sometimes….not so much!
So, you ask……how does this tie in to China getting our technology? Easy. Students take courses that are of a highly technical nature. Some of the course material is FOR military use, and some is of civilian use. BUT….and here is where it gets sticky……..some of the course material blurs the line between military/civilian use. Chinese students have been convicted and sentenced to prison for secretly shipping circuitry which is banned from being shipped overseas.

Then, all the jobs we exported to China will become less price-disadvantaged and we can begin to repatriot the lost jobs! Meanwhile, we’ll have all the union thugs in China and so we can restart our manufacturing businesses without ‘the Gestapo’ whining about ‘higher wages’ (if they don’t like the wages, go back to the unemployment teat, which is about to shrivel up from old age and too much suckle), and those that want to work for a ‘fair wage’ (determined by market factors, supply and demand), and maybe, a wasteland, like, er, Detroit, can be refurbished and regain its prior glory in a newly reindusrialized America! Yeah!

Americans whom do not respect our Constitution, are Democrats. Therefore, the competition
between the Democrats and the Republicans cannot maintain a presence in the same country.
Either the Republican or Democrat party must secede because that is the reason why nothing
ever gets accomplished on time or at all, if you follow. Get rid of the Democrats and install the
Independent party as the more appropriate competition. As I have mentioned in prior posts,
“NOTHING GOOD EVER COMES OUT OF AFRICA; NOT EVEN THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT.”

The website was “www.freepeople.com” but when I tried to go on it “Access Denied” appeared on my screen. I guess the joke was on me!

Seriously, the Russians tried State Run Communism and for MUCH longer than the ChiComs did. And it did NOT work. The Cubans have been doing it for almost as long as the Russians did, AND it hasn’t worked.
Immelt makes me glad I no longer work for G.E., even if I was a lowly contractor.
