If you were ever in doubt what type of thinking this administration fosters, this clip should put any debate to rest.
Appearing Monday morning on CBS, Obama’s jobs council head and the CEO of GE Jeffrey Immelt said that one thing that “actually works” is “state-run Communism” in China.
After host Charlie Rose brought up the “growth rate” of China falling from double digits to about eight percent, Immelt chimed in.
“Look, I think it’s good for China,” he said. “To a certain extent, Charlie, 11 to 12 percent is unsustainable. You end up getting too much stimulus or a misallocation of resources. They are much better off working on a more consumer-based economy, less dependent on exports, driving technology and innovation harder. Really, the one thing that actually works, state run communism may not be your cup of tea, but their government works.”
“They get things done,” Rose responded.

Dec. 11, 2012 at 11:25amIsn’t all Communist countries government run? That is the whole point.
No wonder nobody notices since they have never been taught what Communism and Socialism represent in school. Man-on-the-street interviews show the “under 40″ think Socialism is Facebook and socializing and networking. We are done.

Dec. 11, 2012 at 11:14amThis has been taught in school for YEARS now! Communism good, individualism bad! I suggest taking your moral outrage and run for office on it, starting with school and class room curriculum reforms!

I’ll wait here.

Dec. 11, 2012 at 11:14amYou want to know why State Run communism is working in China? Because the CORRUPT elitist in America have closed all of the businesses in America and the Walmart’s and Home Depots of America (and all of the sheeple that purchase goods from them) are funding China’s economic rise.
This is a corrupt Monopoly. Ever wonder why Chris Matthews of MSNBC gets thrills up his leg when Obama farts? it is because GE owns MSNBC. All media (with exception to some basic, random information supplied by the mass media and/or searchable/available on the internet is Nazi-like Propaganda.
People need to use common sense and do their own research/study of what is going on. Remember, People lie, the laws of physics, bible, and common sense does not!

Dec. 11, 2012 at 11:14amImmelt is exactly like Obama and most of his associates, they are HARVARD Communist.
They are already elites, no need to climb the party ladder like in most communist counties.
Immelt and his HARVARD Communist kind will never be shipped to a camp for re-education. They consider themselves the top of their class already.

Dec. 11, 2012 at 10:59amThe implantation of the next Obama narrative. Communism versus Capitalism. It will be interesting to see how they tie this into their core “good versus evil” narrative. Election is over, but the Obama propaganda machine is operating at full speed.

Dec. 11, 2012 at 10:41amMemo to Mr. Seidl:
Mr. Immelt is not technically a member of the administration, he’s an advisor to the administration so the it’s not the administration fostering this type of thinking it’s the CEO of one of the biggest US conglomerates who is fostering this type of thinking.
Furthermore, this is less a comment on communism or central planning than a jab at the current state of American politics which is beyond dysfunctional – i.e. Fiscal cliff, debt ceiling hostage crisis etc. etc. etc…

Dec. 11, 2012 at 10:32amYes, Jeffery, things get done in Communist countries. Things like forced abortions, because the government can’t support too many people who aren’t useful to the state, things like prison slave labor, things like “re-education” for those who will not work (considered a mental disorder and thus a reason to throw the slacker into a mental institution and medicate him or her heavily.) If the US really wants to become a communist country, let’s start with mandatory employment or jail. The Obamaphone woman may not be all that happy her Dear Leader imposed that particular aspect of communism on his followers.
