  What’s that about pride nowadays? People are proud of weird things: blacks are proud to be blacks, gays are proud to be gays etc. Instead of being proud of one’s own achievements. Wouldn’t it sound silly if I tell you how proud I am of my white skin and normal sexual orientation? Also, I am sure I would be labeled “a white supremacist.”

    Red Meat – This has been happening since 2008 and I have yet to find anyone who will answer that question. I’ve called, I’ve written and nothing. It’s like there’s an affirmative action going on in TV commercials. 12+% of the population and yet in 98% of national TV ads??? Same thing has happened with all of the print advertising for the Sunday newspaper flyers.

    Here’s the script for TV commercials these days:
    The white guy’s an idiot.
    The white woman has the inferior cleaning product.

    I’m not sure if your claim that blacks are overrepresented in commercials is true. But assuming it is, maybe the advertisers are trying to sell their products to blacks. Do you hate capitalism?

    That’s an excellent point. Hispanics are the largest minority group in the US, but they’re hardly ever seen as teleprompter readers like blacxks are.

    The reason is that Mark Lloyd, Obama’s FCC Czar, warned t.v. stations around the country that if they didn’t hire more blacks the EEOC would sue them for discrimination and they would be bankrupt from high attorney fees from fighting the suit.

    The number of black teleprompter readers is amazing, since, as you say, they only amount to 12 to 13% of the population.

    This is just ONE example of how this thug administration operates.

    It will get far worse. The community organizer hasn’t started his next four year term yet.

    Our only chance of stopping these evil black injustices is if the country plummets into a severe depression so that the feds will have to lay off all these millions of people who have been hired as enforcers for black policy.

    I have commented on here before about that, but I have noticed it has been bi-racial people on commercials and on shows. Ever since Obama hit the scene, I have noticed more bi-racial people in advertising. Maybe it’s just me.

    I’m sure someone has mentioned it below…..whenever you have the ADT Security commercials…….it’s the evil middle aged white guy who is breaking into all the houses….the identity theft is from the same group or a young evil white woman. The idiot white goofy male is the **** of all jokes….using the inferior product, GEICO and Progressive Insurance commercials are the best examples…..they do this because they know white people won’t hire a lawyer or that there is not a group that will get involved on their behalf…..not sure why….they are the minority now. Oh, I know why…..these people are too busy supporting everyone else working and not at home watching these pitiful commercials.

    That’s a good link, Duddio, but this godfather character has been given oodles of links many times to verify assertions made on here, but he pretends as if they’re not valid.

    He’s a rabid hater of conservatives and especially conservative Christians, because they oppoose gay marriage and the gay lifestyle, so his only point in being here is to spew hatred and animosaity toward anybody who does not share his agenda.

    He’s always hysterically screaming about how bad people on this site are. But he keeps coming back. I guess he’s like the title of Gutfeld’s new book, “The Joy of Hate,” written about how the left loves to hate people.

    Since you think I hate conservatives and conservative Christian, I would ask you to cite one comment I have made to support that. Since you clearly think I am gay, please find a comment of mine that can remotely support that assertion.     The law of the land is if you show whites in an ad you must have 15% black also.I called McDonalds and spoke to our manager after I saw a tv ad a couple of years ago with about 17 blackes and no whites. He told me they worked for pennies and the whites all wanted dollars. I haven’t taken self or grand kids to Mickey Mack since and will never step in their doors again.

    First I think Ms. Lee is quite lovely and I believe her **** looks fine (compared to some of the dyed ratty looking stuff you see on some Black women) … I have no problem with her appearance. That being said … to address the perceived bias towards Blacks in the media … take note … whenever you see a comedic commercial the fall guy is almost always the “Dumb white guy” (Aflac is an example off the top of my head) … I have complained in my house for years about this … it’s never the Black fellow or the woman who does the pratt fall … IT IS ALWAYS THE WHITE GUY!!!! I’ve been keeping score (sort of … to myself) … so please … just start taking note of who the person is in the commercial who screws up and you will soon agree with me. I’m rather sick of it … it’s just a subtle way of demeaning white folks … over and over and over … I guess we are all just supposed to go Har Har Hee Hee … me? I’m insulted!

    Lee is ready to pounce on anyone and always assumes it is racially motivated. The guy obviously was referring to her having such a short cut. She took it to mean that he didn’t like her ****. As a black person, maybe she has had racial slurs directed at her, like fat people get taunted, and skinny people get called weak. EVERYONE gets called something at some point in their life… GET OVER IT! The world does not have to walk on egg shell because of her disturbance. She should go for therapy. Maybe Obamacare will pay for it. Sick of the victims. They are the ones that victimize the people round them. God help her.

    @ Red Meat maybe your familiar with the name ( Ron Jon Surf Shop ) they have been in Cocoa Beach FL for decades and have many billboards promoting Surf and Sun. They generally swapout what they put on there billboards every few month,but for the first time i can remember they have put black people on the signs and have been up for more than a year, and as everyone knows blacks love to surf and spend alot of time tanning so there always running to Ron Jons to by tanning oil.

    I love a conspiracy as much as the next person. And the idea that President Obama is forcing companies to put more blacks in commercials is a pretty good one!

    But I think we should look at this objectively. First of all someone should post some objective evidence that blacks are disproportionately represented in commercials. When some poster says, “gee there are too many blacks in commercials,” there’s a few things I wonder. First, do you actually watch commercials? If so, my advice to you is GET A LIFE! Seriously? You sit there and stare at the TV during commercials?

    Second – did I say this already? – do you watch every station in the US and keep detailed statistics about the relative number of whites and minorities in TV commercials across the country? Of course not. Do you ever wonder why it is that when you’re in a hurry, you hit a disproportionate number of red lights and that people seem to be driving really slowly that day? The best explanation for that phenomenon is that traffic hasn’t changed, and the red lights are the same as always, but that YOU’RE internal state has changed.

    Third, conspiracy theories are fun, but our country is capitalistic. Money is King. Companies run commercials that they think will promote what they’re selling. If it were true that minorities are overrepresented in commercials, that only means companies think that will make them more money.

    I bet you hit every red light tomorrow.

    Here’s the thing…anytime a certain group of people (usually minorities) are put down or deemed less than or treated in an unjust manor they will counter act that by stating how proud of who they are. This is perfectly fine (although I think it’s a bit dumb and silly with ‘gay pride’) and happened back when we had segregation. The problem comes when in today’s world where most people aren’t racist you get someone who attacks (or the person feels like they are being attacked) someone else and then they jump to “I’m very proud of my African American ****.” It just isn’t something that needs to be done anymore and the shift needs to be made to being proud of achievements or having good character. Not that we shouldn’t be proud of where we have come from or our heritage.

    So that’s why you see a lot of the whole “pride of weird things.”

    Ellier, the fact that you call it a “normal” sexual orientation is the root of the problem. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being proud of who you are, for every facet of your being like your appearance, your beliefs, or your education. However, to assume that the way YOU are is “normal” and that everyone should look, believe, and learn like YOU is not pride, but ignorance to different people and cultures. And I think that was the message that Rhonda A. Lee put forward.

    Here’s a thought to the question of, “Why are there so many black people on TV and in advertisements when they are only 12 percent of the population?”

    Could it be that they auditioned for the part and the powers that were thought they were the best for that position? I expect every citizen to earn what they get. I believe it is a travesty when someone gets something because of the color of their skin, religion or what ever. I spent years in the military having to work with idiots who got good performance ratings that didn’t deserve them, of both races, for reason such as: ” He’s a great guy and I want him to move up.” “I don’t want it to look like we are racists here.” If the fool couldn’t cut the mustard, the fool couldn’t cut the mustard. Is that the way it should work, not always but getting back to the subject. How are any of you that thinks or implies that the people of color were given the position because of their color, target marketing or some kind of other racial profile reason know that is what happened? It’s an assumption.

    the entertainment industry including the advertising agencies have a social agenda. check out the placement of black people in t v shows and ads. blacks are overrepresented as judges and other people in authority. prisoners, thieves and other negative characters will be under represented by people of color. white men in sit coms are fat doofuses, white women are anorexic shrews, their black neighbors are normal and stable. the commercials on tv are particularly insidious and devious. white men in a ups commercial are fat little doughboys, the black male is buff and smart. white men are shown as idiots in general. and have you seen the proliferation of afros on commercials? 99%of all blacks in commercials have a variation of this **** style.

    If this were any kind of publication to be released you would be right, but I doubt anybody has the time on a chat forum to investigate in detail absolute proof of obvious discrimination of this nature. We can look at it objectively, however.

    And..forget commercials. They have nothing to do with Mark Lloyd. But take a look at what he says and writes. The following blog is a conservative one, but I chose it in a Google search, because the blog owner gives more insight to the statements in question..

    You’ve got it right on, rusyn, and it isn’t necessary to do an exhaustive study on anything you’ve pointed out. It’s pretty obvious.

    So far as the entertainment industry is concerned, there’s a saying that is shared by people who are intelligent, aware types, who know EXACTLY where you’re coming from: “They always depict the opposite of reality.”

    I think the **** looks pretty good. I wouldn’t want to stroke it though.
    Bringthemediocre I too have noticed the commercials. So its not just him. I don’t mind it.
    I’m a white guy that used to be asked if I was Italian. Then it was Jewish. and the past few years its been Arab. I don’t mind that either. But I guess eventually they will ask me if I’m black or Korean. I think its rediculous we have to check male female white black on application boxes. But I know the reason for this. Getting off subject.

    My mother was Duch and white as typing-paper…she couldn’t stand having all that long-**** and having to useup most of her day trying to keep it “up”. So, she(way-before I was born) desided short-****(just at ear-level) was super-easy to clean and look-nice, so …[2-5-minutes-a-day=****] and the rest-o-the-day was hers!! She also neve used makeup/saved annother hr-a-day eachday! So, simple clothes everyday made her easy to look at. Too many “painted-lady’s”…simple strong and honest with a plethora of hidden-intelligence, everyday she would supprise me with wisdom, even up to her last day on earth. The “hero’s” I had growing-up were hard workers, engineers, doctors, lawyers(etc..) ….mostly-retired so they always had time to answer my questions or teach me how to build/fix many things which interested me early in my life.

    1) No one has characterized that first Facebook inquiry was “racial” (except you?)

  Man this is a real tough one for me.

  On one hand the viewer comments were ridiculous, narrow minded and stupid. I wont cry racisim on this but damn stupid. Her comments however were totally justified and done very well.

  On the other hand she has company rules to follow and appears to have had several chances.
  She needs to be thick skinned if she is going to do work like this.

  Maybe she should have created her own page with no company affiliation (free speech)

  Either way I say give her one last chance. You have made your point.

    I have to agree. I never understood why backs (men and women) are so willing to use those harsh chemicals the straighten their ****. I rarely even looks right. I’m half Black and half Hispanic. My **** is very curly and never once thought about doing this. I have had black friends, usually women, who tried to convince me to try it saying it would look good on me. I always said I was happy with the **** I was born with.

    I thought all of the posts were very cordial.

    If she does decide to file a suit they will have a dificult time defending a policy that isn’t written down, verbals don’t hold up well.

    You like to toss around insults of people being “morons” and “ignorant” and “really the person who has a problem”

    Your problem is you DO NOT have reading and comprehension skills. Ones that would allow you to think for yourself instead of taking a side based on race. Just because you didnt say “Race” or (insert skin color here) doesnt mean that you’re not being racist in your thinking before replying.

  Well at first I was on Rhonda Lee’s side until I got to the part that she had been warned several times. I didn’t see anything wrong with her first response about her ****, but her response about the children was inappropriate. If it had been her first time, I would have warned her too. The station should have had a written policy that the company facebook should only be responded to by one person (a media savvy marketing type) only or by management. Every employee should receive a copy of the policy and sign off that they have read it. When you use a company Facebook account, you are representing the company not your individual self.

    did you read the whole story? she wasnt fired for her looks or lack thereof. She was fired for being told “Do not comment on facebook, ever – for any reason to the people who comment towards you” .. Probably because she’s representings the company and not just herself. Which wouldnt be the FIRST time that something (a firing) like this has happend. She was warned repeatedly and threw caution to the wind and did what she felt was her right. Her right was in fact wrong and she was terminated accordingly.

    When you work for a lot of companies you usually end up signing a “contract” of sorts – that you represent the company and that anything you do that would tarnish the companies image (at work or at home or out in public) is grounds for termination.

    Her race, looks, body shape, **** length, **** color, etc etc etc – had NO BEARING on her being fired.

    I also didn’t find anything “untoward” with her comments. But that’s not the point. It’s not even that she made a response to a comment on Facebook, but that she responded to comments on the “Company’s” FB page. That’s the problem. She made the decision to ignore her management’s requirement that no employee respond on the company’s FB page where her comments then become the company’s image.

    If she had done this outside of the company it may be viewed differently, but that’s not the case. I just find it incredible that so many people here are focusing on the wrong issues.

  Really? -Last time I checked (at least in my home state) you can be fired for no reason. To be warned against doing something and then doing it anyways is “just cause” to be fired. Guess she should’ve joined a union and smoked weed and drank on her lunch break. Least she could’ve been reinstated a few months later. Why is the race card forever being played in this society? “Reverse racism” is not any more justied than racism just because affirmative action and white guilt allows it to happen.

  I always love it when i’ve been falsely labeled a racist – opens up pandora’s box of insults that I would have never said that have nothing to do with race at all.. Play the card and get dealt the hand.

  If the policy is not written down, the company cannot not enforce a verbal policy. If it is not written down it is a guideline and they have no standing for firing her. A company’s policy must be written down in order to enforce it when it is broken and they must write down they have verbally warned her. If they did none of these she has a case. I hope she fights.

  She is beautiful just the way she is and I am wondering if this was a setup to get rid of her because they knew she would respond. I smell some rats.

    Am in full agreement with your second paragraph. The lady is quite attractive, no matter how short she chooses to cut her ****. Also, if the white male who allegedly did the same thing was terminated around the same time, it could well have been an attempt to forestall a discrimination case on her part. The first paragraph is more problematic. Louisiana is somewhat of a legal anomaly, following, to an extent, French, rather than English common law as precedent. Nevertheless, it may still be an “at will” state regarding employment. If so, she could be terminated for any legal reason, or even no reason at all. If she actually had signed an employment contract, it might require such things as written notice of an intention to terminate her, or written warnings of rule infractions. Otherwise, she’s out of luck if she cannot prove an illegal motive for her termination. Hope The Blaze follows up on the case.

    It all depends on which state you live in. In an at will state, the employer can fire for no reason or any reason. Unless you are covered by a labor agreement, an employer does not have to follow a progressive approach to discipline as long as it treats all employees the same (this prevents an EEOC charge).

    In a state whose law requires just cause, an employer can still fire you but it must have a reason.

    An employer doesn’t have to have published policies to terminate employment. While the absence of policies leaves an employer exposed in an unemployment compensation hearing and/or EEOC charge, the absence of a policy does not preclude termination.

    Based on what I read above, I would not have recommended termination. I probably would have given a written warning with the proviso that any further actions would result in disciplinary action, up to an including termination of employment. (this by the way is just cause discipline not at will)

  We only know what we are told in the story and I know there is always more to the story, but that said, I like her ****. She is very pretty and she does not need to have a bunch of **** to mess with. I also think if done without a nasty attitude it is just fine to express your feelings about something someone else is saying that is hurtful. Maybe they don’t know it is hurtful and it is good to let them know it is. It is when someone just lashes out at everyone just because they are black or white or brown, or what ever color….there is even people that are blue, you can’t judge everyone like that. She didn’t say anything I can see as bad. She did it tactfully, but again we don’t know everything.

I would much rather see a black woman with micro short natural **** than see them straighten it to look more “European” (which is a nice way of saying white) and then be racist.     No it’s not ridiculous. It’s called “fair.” How many whites have been fired for violating corporate policy concerning comments on social networking sites. I’m just waiting for her discrimination lawsuit stating she was fired for being black and a woman.
