Pelosi Gets Snippy with GOP Rep. During House Floor Speech
During a speech on the House floor Wednesday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was not at all happy with Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Texas) for allegedly smirking during her speech.
And she let him know in no uncertain terms:
The moment occurred after Rep. Pelosi claimed that Congress would “abandon efforts to extend the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy,” as Charlie Spiering puts it.
“Pelosi framed the debate in terms of a ‘middle income tax cut’ asserting that two-thirds of the House would vote in favor of the idea,” he adds.
That’s when someone in the House audibly chuckled.
“Do I detect your smirk to mean that you don’t think Republicans will vote for middle income tax cuts Mr. Sessions?” an irritated Pelosi snapped.

You ought to be interested though. The proposal was to extend the Bush tax cuts for people making less than $250,000. And face it, that’s you. So you’re against Congress having that vote, willing to forgo your tax break until you’re sure your millionaire friends next door get theirs. Seriously?
The Republican leadership won’t that vote take place because they know that either it would pass, or that if it failed you’d know your representative voted against keeping your tax rate from going up.
When your tax rate goes up $2000 next year, we’ll see how fond you are of helping those millionaires and billionaires buy their second Lear Jet.

This is the simple solution – besides giving California back to Mexico – make a flat tax say 15-18% on anyone who makes X amount a dollars per year – no loopholes- no deduction – everyone pays and they pay the same rate – now we are all equal and now more then 53% of Americans will pay taxes.
Next do away with the hand outs – everyone works – streets need to be cleaned everyday and each person getting a hand out should be assigned a street – given a trash can, broom, and dust pan. If you getting a hand out and have a trade – then we put you to work at local schools, hospitals, and elderly care centers to keep them up to code.
If our tax dollars go to pay someone not to work them we demand work out of them. No more free rides. Take America Back – stop having your employer take Federal Income Tax out your pay – wait to December 2013 to pay your 2013 Tax and you will a true change in America.

Actually, I don’t think they are writing any laws. Obamacare was delivered to the House of Reps by the White House. People outside of our Gov worked on it for years. That’s why no one knew what was in it. No one there wrote it.
Just like Obama’s Jobs Act. It was delivered by the White House also.
Which, of course, is illegal. All Bills that allocate funds must start in the House. Not the White House.

There is a proposal to leave the current tax rates at the same level that they are now except for the top 2%, whoever that is. If what they want passes, most people will not see an increase in take home pay, and some will see a decrease.

And i dare to say that if it was a dem smirking and laughing in the front row, you would all be incensed. Conservatives have no consistency. I think the flip-flopping we saw from your candidates proves that.

I will pay more for something on Amazon or E-bay from a state that had people with common sense.Nancy has over 130 million nest egg for her kids & grand kids so she could care less to what happens to the peons out there just as long as the maid & butler do their jobs. On ly proble is that Texas & us here in Oklahoma can only take so many companys that want to relocate here for our good small business freindliness.

You do know that Pelosi owns a non-union Winery, restaurants, hotel etc. Yet she get awards from the unions.
You do know that Pelosi flipped stock from $45 to $65 using insider knowledge. It doesn’t matter what the capital gains rate unless it hits 100%, when you are insider trading.
Defend your hypocrite. Maybe she will throw you a bone.
