Three Women Allegedly Tricked a Mentally Handicapped Man Into Buying Them $40K in Cars and Other Gifts

A Minnesota woman has been charged with several felony counts for teaming up with two other women and persuading a mentally disabled man into purchasing two vehicles for them along with other expensive gifts, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Renita Satcher, a 38-year-old woman from St. Paul, allegedly took advantage of the victim who reportedly has the mental capacity of a 13-year-old and was looking for a date, the Twin Cities Pioneer Press reported.

According to the Pioneer Press, Satcher, who was posing as a women named Ashley in 2011 when the incident occurred, told the victim he could join her and two other women — Ashley’s “mother” and “aunt” — at a hotel. She told him “they could date if he bought her things,” the Pioneer Press noted one complaint saying.

Here’s more on how the women took advantage of the man from there:

He wanted her to like him, so he began opening lines of credit and buying things for her and the other women. She told him she needed a car, so he accompanied her to a South St. Paul dealership, let her pick one out and financed it with an $18,000 line of credit in his name.

It was Satcher’s idea to buy the car and she told the man how to fill out the paperwork, according to the complaint. The man said he complied because he thought Ashley wouldn’t talk to him unless he did.

He also said “he became scared the women may call someone to come over and hurt him if they got angry with him,” according to the complaint. At one point while staying with them, he separated his car keys from his house keys because he feared they would rob his home.

The Star Tribune reported the fraudulent activity became apparent when the victim failed to show up for work and his legal guardian found receipts showing expensive purchases.

Satcher will appear in court in January facing two felony charges for theft by swindling. The other two women have not been charged yet.

It’s a woman’s job to spend men”s money. Think about it. If it wasn’t for womendoing that, there would be no big houses. Men would spend money on really important stuff, like Harley’s, cigarette boats and fancy cars, while living in a shack on the beach.

come on guys , i date allot and women are born and raised to take advantage of men , every date i drop at least 50 bucks and if you factor in the things women wants us to buy and gift them the numbers goes way up , men has always paid for sex and female attention in one way or the other .
a attractive woman can get though life without working a day on looks alone until her looks fail .
American women are about the same as prostitutes , they are selling looks and sex and us men are buying and business is good for the pretty ladies

  Obviously, if you didn’t like being abused and taken advantage of you would have learned your lesson and quit the first, or maybe the second, time you met such a woman. Don’t blame someone else for your bad decisions on who you look for. My mother and father have been married since 1951 and neither are ready to drop the other yet. I have been married for 38 years and I cannot fathom life without my better half. I guess it depends on how much of yourself you are willing to give to another, it has nothing to do with how much you are willing to spend on someone else. I’m sorry if you haven’t been able to find someone, but I think you have to look for better people and have the attitude to go with it. With your attitude toward women any good woman will run the minute they meet you.

  Hon a decent women wouldn’t look at you twice.If you want to find a good women change your strategy.Its not about money spent but time and involvement.Hint most good women are put off by a man who spends to much on first dates.It scares them.In multiple ways I might add.

Personally I think women emit a hormone or something that just makes men idiots. Yes I speak from personal experience and observation. If someone can isolate and counter act said compound, they would be rich beyond there dreams and the world would probably settle down and chill. Giving them the right to drive and vote was stupid at best. All you women folk could learn a lesson or two from June Cleaver.   Well we see you have enough sense to take cover.When you get home and wish to repeat this to your wife make sure you are in a position to run for your life.Remember the kitchen isn’t your friend in this case.Oh and one other thing does your wife use aluminum or cast iron skillets?If she uses cast iron run if its aluminum you will be alright.it doesn’t hurt to much.Then again you might already know this from personal experience.If so, sorry for wasting your time.Carry on.

  The same way I had to become the legal guardian of my 22 year old handicapped son….he’s over 18 and probably at least gets SSDI (Disability). We got guardianship because my son hates needles and if he was in a car accident and needed surgery at midnight, he’d refuse, and being over 18 they would have to listen to him, not us. As his legal guardians, we get to make those decisions, and if he takes out a credit card some how on his own, he’s not responsible, and neither are we.
