Girl Describes Terrifying Experience Inside CT School: ‘I Heard…7 Loud Booms…So We All Huddled’

Details surrounding the horrific elementary school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, are still unfolding. With reports that dozens of people are dead — mainly children — authorities are working diligently to comprehend what unfolded.

With accounts of what happened inside Sandy Hook Elementary are just starting to trickle out, MSNBC played video of one young girl sharing her terrifying experience inside of the school:

“I was in the gym and I heard like seven loud booms — and the gym teachers told us to go in the corner so we all huddled. and I kept hearing these booming noises and we all — well we didn’t scream. We started crying, so all the gym teachers told us to go in the office where no one could find us. So, then a police officer came in and told us to run outside, so we did and we came in the fire house and waited for our parents.”

It is a complete lack of respect for life and it begins with the parents. If you don’t teach your children to respect others, they won’t. If you don’t teach your children to respect the property of another, they won’t. It is that simple. There are exceptions (those taught who choose not to listen), but these are few and far between.

  I agree, it all begins with the parents. You have to nuture your children, respect them and show them by your actions, what is right and wrong. If children don’t receive this training this will grow up to be dysfunctional unless their problem is identified and they receive counseling. Even, then, it may be difficult to change but a loving parent can greatly impact a childs life. But if they don’t have the emotional support they need, they will grow up to be another Adam. If at all possible, do not expect your children to be reared by a nursery or kindergarten school but do the job yourself.

  Agreed. But I would add that we need to:
  
  Instill self-repect and self-confidence in our kids instead of the obnoxious self-esteem favored by liberal educators which locks people into a false sense of security and self worth.
  
  Teach kids that the most successful survival strategy is to recognize and avoid dangerous people, places and activities. Of course, that means they have to really examine those around them and make the very judgements which the politically correct teachers tell them are “unfair” or “biased against others. Their survival depends on having good situational awareness, making judgements and acting to protect themselves.
  
  Our ancestors knew that “huddle and hide” was a survival strategy only for young children and others unable to protect themselves, or for those in the most extreme situations. A better strategy is to plan ahead, learn to trust your instincts and make peace with the fact that you may have to defend yourself with lethal force.
  
  Nowadays, one of the vilest things you can do in the eyes of Liberals is to survive an attack and either wound or kill your attacker. It’s insane.
  
  Nevermind taking our country back. Take your kids back from the fools who are programming them to be victims in the name of “fairness.” And remove them from any school that is run by people too emasculated or stupid to understand that we live in dangerous times and that ALL teachers and staff should be armed and trained to defend the kids in their car

  Not sure that it’s the parent’s fault- we don’t know enough yet. This shooter could have been on ‘prescription’ meds that altered his brain/body chemistry enough to affect his capacity to reason. Remember 1) Accutane [anti-acne med]- side effects, not the least of which are: depression, psychosis,suicide,aggressive or violent behaviors; 2) Lariam [ant-malarial]- known to cause neuropsychiatric side effects, including nightmares, depression, hallucinations, paranoia, psychosis and aggression; 3) some ADHD drugs that may contribute to these side effects: visual hallucinations, suicidal ideation, aggression and violent behavior; etc.

  Hard to teach respect for LIFE, when all kids hear is Liberals calling for the right to kill babies at any time, including when born alive after botched abortions. Obama himself advocated for placing babies born alive being put in a pillow case and tossed into a closet to die with not medical attention.
  
  Sad that 20 children were murdered. Over 500 were murdered yesterday and everyday and Liberals cheer their murder and fight for the right to do it at our expense. Very sick position to have.
  
  Think about it ! Had these 20 kids been aborted 4-5 yeas ago liberals would care less. Once born they are referred to as Precious.

Well, seems another Problem Teacher???? brought harm to self, along with 18-children, and the faculty???

At least the 18-children are now in a safe place with no further problems to face in this World! I am not sure about the adults! Of course, they, the adults, had an opportunity to choose!

How the world has changed since I was a kid! We use to climb under our desks, put our hands over our heads and wait for the nuke! But we could hitch-hike in safety.

It’s going to be devastating on Christmas morning when there are presents under the tree for their dead children. My condolences to these families.

How much longer can this insanity continue? .

Evil was unleashed today on those innocent victims,children and adults,I don’t know how the parents of those slaughtered children can continue living.The coward who did this died to quickly in my opinion,a slow agonizing death would’ve been more appropriate.

I don’t know which is worse, that we live in a world where someone would do something like this, or the fact that, rather than grieving, our elected servants immediately scramble to make all this about a political agenda on gun control. I never hear about how we are so disconnected from each other that someone could fester in this kind of evil and why are we so anonymous with our neighbors that no one could see this person (persons) were capable of doing something like this–not to mention preparing for it and carrying it out.

In Los Angeles they actually HAVE armed security on all campuses because of “Unruly children”. A school is suppose to be a safe place but in our Godless world no place is really safe. Every law abiding citizen should be packing to prevent or lessen this kind of evil.

The district took proactive measures to ensure the safety of students and faculty when it unveiled new safety protocols earlier in the school year, but it is unknown if school officials followed the new guidelines prior to the shooting.

Unbelievable evil inside any person who could commit this crime!!! Sweet innocence shot and killed by this psycho! I pray for strength for the families of these victims. May our loving God wrap His arms around them and give them some peace and comfort.

  This was no tragedy. Like 9-11-01 and the Virginia Tech massacre of 2007, it was the result of premeditated murder. Deaths from a tsunami, an earthquake,or a hurricane are tragedies. What happened in Connecticut was an atrocity. One cannot help but feel for the victims and their families in either case.

First off let me say I’m saddened and disgusted by this. Second, isn’t it strange how many of these shootings are happening within days/weeks of each other? I’m not much for conspiracy, but all of this is becoming just a bit coincidental, isn’t it?

i think you have to be demon possessed or completely strung out on drugs (maybe same thing) to do something like this, it’s beyond normal human ability. even your typical low life criminals and drug dealers wouldn’t shoot up an elementary school.

The latter of the two self aborbtion has been fed heavily in the last couple generation……We’ve put far too much important on appearance over character and the in result of that in vanity the breeding ground for self aborbsion. People will ask, “Where was God when all this happened”. Remember, people chose to kick God and prayer out of public schools. What is happening is the reaping from people’s hatred towards God and their children are suffering because of it. This is nothing compared to what is coming. Obama is doing his best to make sure guns get outlawed. This is not normal.

  For those who say, “Where is God…” I hear Him saying, “Where is your heart?” If I don’t bring Him into my school or community, how is He supposed to come in? If the Kingdom of God is within us…it stands to reason He is in us…and we only look for Him when something goes wrong? Then expect things to go wrong. I work in a public school…my only hope is the knowledge that He is with me, in me, working through me for those He’s placed in my care. A community works like this, and community is the only key, the only hope…We love and we unite.

  I had heard in the very early reports, they were finding the bodies of children in the coat closets where they were hiding together in groups. :( Again, this came from the very earliest reports I heard on my car radio, so not confirmed as fact right now. But here is a fact:
  I am certain this shooter is, at this very moment in hell, looking into the eyes of Satan. May he burn there for eternity.

Wearing a military vest and shooting up innocent children. Disgusting. Heartbreaking.

So many prayers to the community today, so many lives changed permanently because of a senseless, stupid coward.
