Texas Cop Writes Struggling Father a Traffic Ticket — With a $100 Bill Wrapped Inside

Texas Cop Writes Struggling Father Traffic Ticket With a $100 Bill Wrapped Inside

It’s the last thing a Texas man expected when a Plano police officer pulled him over for an expired registration.

Hayden Carlo, a 25-year-old married father of two, told the officer he didn’t have any explanation for not getting it renewed except that he didn’t have the money.

“You get paid, pay your bills, and there’s your money. It’s gone,” Carlo told KTVT-TV. “I said, ‘it was either feed my kids or get my registration done.”

The officer wrote a citation and handed it to Carlo, who couldn’t believe what he saw inside.

“Opened it up and there’s a $100 bill. I broke down in my car, what else could I do,” Carlo said.

The officer, who wants to remain anonymous, didn’t tell anyone what he did, but Carlo’s grandfather wrote the police department a letter to thank them.

“You just don’t find that many officers who do this type of thing,” Billy McIntire told KTVT.

Plano police spokesman David Tilley said the officer told him, “this young man needed it more than him and it was just the right thing to do.”

Carlo used the money to update both his and his wife’s car registrations.

“He helped me out when I needed it and I appreciate that,” Carlo said. “It definitely restored my faith in God.”

But how could he have possibly done something nice or charitable without the government forcing him to do it?

It’s against everything I’ve been told by the Left my entire life?

freeberty That’s a little harsh don’t you think??? I believe there is a need for the Police, however, not as intrusive as they are. Somebody has to sort out the details and arrest people that commit crimes, eat doughnuts and write reports. This policeman has a heart and sole and I would shake his hand and help him financially if I knew who he was. Far be it from the police officer (yesterday’s blaze) who shot the guy eleven times with one of the last rounds puncturing the victims back. I don’t trust the police and we should all be allowed to have the same fire power they have to help protect ourselves from their wrath…

FREEBERTY: I understand what you’re saying. Our Country has become a Nanny State. Many do need help, but I agree it’s gotten out of hand. We’ve all seen those who really aren’t needy, but have their hands out. Many of the stories are sick, but until our government changes things, we’re stuck with it. It’ll take more pride in one’s self to help themselves, without their hands out.

This being said, I can remember my mom having to make do with little or nothing, with NO HELP from ANYONE. She managed and is over 97 yrs.old..So what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

      @Freeberty;

Your logic is flawed. A parasite is a creature that lives off of another creature, while giving nothing of substantive value back.

Last time that I checked, police, fire, and other such employees serve a vital function for the community. They serve and protect, proven by the fact that their professional requires them to wear a kevlar vest for protection. This is not a parasite.

A parasite to me would be a deadbeat who games the system for welfare relief, and other forms of public assistance.

There is a big difference between these two people, and if you can’t tell the difference, let me try to leave you with an example:

The guy you find tearing up your home looking for valuables at 3am in the morning is a parasite. The person who shows up and apprehends the person and takes him to jail is not…

Police are people that couldn’t hack it in the private sector, which is shrinking, and joined the government, which is growing. Police do not create jobs and they would not exist if not for the taxpayer. And an ever growing police force in this economy is the last thing we need.

Since you hate cops so much you probably shouldn’t even bother calling them if you or your family are being attacked. Just like anything in this world, there are good and bad. I am retired and my wife retires Jan 31 so we stay here, partly because of the low taxes. I couldn’t afford to live in CA, NY, Ill (chicago) or any of the other yankee states. Louis Eppolito,Stephen Caracappa, Louis Eppolito and Stephen Caracappa worked for the NYPD but in reality, they worked for the mafia.
Joseph Miedzianowski – Joseph Miedzianowski was a Chicago police officer labeled as the most corrupt cop. Miedzianowski served as both police officer and drug kingpin using his knowledge of the streets and gangs to shake down drug dealers.
David Mack And Rafael Perez – David Mack and Rafael Perez worked together for the LAPD Rampart division, but also worked for Death Row Records and were members of the Bloods gang.
Mack would receive the LAPD Medal Of Honor for killing a drug dealer who allegedly pulled a gun on him. But he would also later be convicted of robbing a bank and be implicated in the murder of rapper, Notorious BIG.

It is mandatory that the gift be anonymous. Check the bible about trumpeting your own generosity.

There are plenty of really good people out there, and this officer is one of them.

Someone better check the evidence room where they keep all of the drugs, money, and weapons they’ve seized because at least $100 is missing.

Or just maybe this cop decided to dig out his last bengie and pay-it-forward. Would you do the same?

Actually, Plano is a better part of the Metroplex. It doesn’t say the man was FROM Plano, but that’s where the more affluent live. Now, if it had been Garland, I’d almost agree with you. But you know, you’re a really cynical person. how do you live with so much hate?

It seems to be a way of life for progressives. No shame, no humanity, especially towards people opposite of their political spectrum. Everything, to them, is either red or blue. They love anarchy and live a life of contrariness.

Thank you God for such a story coming out right now, our nation is hit by darkness personified in madness as innocent children are cut down for no reason. And here humanity is shown at its best.

I agree, the policeman showed God’s love and I am proud of him. Snow, my computer has been down but I don’t see any post from GONZO. I miss his comments and thought someone might know something.
