NEWTOWN, Conn. (TheBlaze/AP) — Connecticut State Police say a gunman who massacred 26 children and adults at an elementary school before committing suicide forced his way into the building.
Lt. Paul Vance said Saturday morning that the suspect was not voluntarily let into Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton and instead “forced his way into the school.”
Authorities say 20-year-old Adam Lanza shot his mother on Friday, drove her car to Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, and shot 20 children, six adults and himself.
Vance said all the victims have been positively identified and authorities were preparing to release a formal written list of names and birth dates.
Vance said crime scene investigators have discovered “very good evidence” that could lend insight into Lanza’s motive for the shootings, though did not describe what the evidence was.

Dec. 15, 2012 at 2:34pmCurious as to how long the police took to get there and how long it took someone in the building to call 911. If the guy shot out the window next to the door to get in it would seem a 911 call would have been made right away. If only the school administration would have had access to a firearm, maybe this could have been stopped, or at least delayed long enough for police to get there.

How about having a heart-to-heart with them about good and evil, or if that subject is to harsh, then how about good and bad? Unlike what liberals believe, children are not blank pieces of paper or a “collection of cells.” They have souls and can use their soul as a compass to lead them through life and surround themselves with people who are also good. Nothing is certain in life, but mom and dad will do everything humanly possible to keep you safe and help you.

Dec. 15, 2012 at 1:47pmWhen the nutcase in Norway shot up all those kids at camp, I sat my nine and eleven year olds down and we had a long discussion about what to do if a nutjob wandered into their summer camp. We have also discussed what to do if someone starts shooting in a mall, grocery store, etc. And yes, every school shooting that happens I sit them down again and we once again talk about what they need to do to survive such a situation.
A woman this morning asked me if I had talked to my kids about the shooting and I said yes. She was shocked because I was the first person to say that. But she also has spent quite a bit of time talking to her kids about how to survive such an incident. She also is a conservative.
As long as we continue to let the insane walk freely amongst us, these massacres will continue. My husband has just completed his concealed carry requirements. I’m starting mine in January and I’ve never touched a gun before. My son is getting a .22 for Christmas and my daughter is getting a pellet gun. They obviously can’t take their own weapons to school but they can sure learn about them and not be scared into inaction if they hear one and they will know what to do to survive.

We live in a fallen world, one that is spiraling downward in accordance with God’s plan. He destroyed the world once for its wickedness, and He promised to destroy it again, but to create a new heaven and a new earth in its place. It seems that we are in those end times, but I imagine every generation has thought the same thing. The difference is that now, things are so evil that I actually pray for the end of the world. Dec. 15, 2012 at 11:28amThe tools of evil can be as inconspicuous as the smallpox virus delivered by blanket or as showy and macho as a knife or gun. Sometimes the tool is as powerful as a fertilizer and fuel oil mix or as slow and painful as forced famine. Every household in America has under the kitchen sink, in the basement and the garage, the means of mass murder. You need only add evil intent. Passing laws and railing against inanimate objects in the aftermath of evil is the act of a coward hiding behind the flourish of impotent words. They puff and they blame while in their heart of hearts they pray evil does not cast a glance back to them or their loved ones. Love, preparedness, honesty, diligence and courage, these are the tools to cut evil off at the knees and minimize the damage when it rears its merciless head. Sad that so many choose to politicize and post and tweet their way to a false sense of security rather than face a reality that has been with us since the beginning of time.

The Left WANTS to ban all of those things as well, eventually.
Their entire agenda is one that lacks the recognition of personal responsibility; the fault always lies with someone or something else.
They believe in control, just not ‘self-control’. After all, there is no ‘self’, only the ‘collective’.

Dec. 15, 2012 at 12:01pmFrom the democrats point of view the guns walked into the school and started killing people. It seems every time there is a shooting the gun is to blame. I am sure it took a gun to fire the bullets. But it seems to me “they” ( the anti gun left ) always forget about the person holding the gun. Don’t get me wrong, this is a sad day. The thought of so many children being killed by a nut bag idiot makes me sick. But in all honesty the guns that were used did not make their way to the school under their own power. They didn’t decide to kill anyone. Guns don’t make decisions, people do. The guns were taken there by a very sick and evil person and used by this person. I wish the democrats and the media would realize this. As a American, I realize the only thing that keeps the people of this country from being subjects instead free people is the fact that we have guns. You don’t have to look too far back in history to see this. Germany in the 1930′s guns were outlawed and look what happened. So if anybody reads this please use your common sense, blame the sick and evil idiot who pulled the trigger, not the object that was used. Common sense says if he wouuld have stolen a gas truck and rammed the school with it, the same may have happened. The airplanes that hit the towers did do the same and worse. God bless those children , and God bless America.

Dec. 15, 2012 at 12:02pmWell said. You’ve captured the real situation. Someone once said “you can’t legislate morality.” This applies here. All of the laws in the world, anti-guns, controls on chemicals, speed limits, etc. will do nothing the curb this evil. It takes a change in each person’s moral fiber. And that change requires society to take on such a responsibility instead of passing off its culpability to the government.

Really? Most if not all news organizations go for saturation reporting. You could argue that is what the public wants. Running a story to the ground to find out everything is right & meet. Somehow I don’t think it is working because after 2 weeks people will forget many facts & we will be back to the same back & forth arguments as before. People have to literally keep files & ponder this information & include arguments & counterarguments if they want to get to the truth & live a way that is sane.
But Rayone is right, news cycles & ‘sensational’ reporting can inadvertently or purposefully block out other important stories. Fro example
US-Iranian nuclear talks fail. Iran has plutonium for 24 Nagasaki-type bombs
http://www.debka.com/#
Blocking out other stories works just like a magician’s magic. Magicians have made mountains disappear (Hawaii) thru the using lighting. It works the same way with saturation reporting. Previously I have thought of it as spotlight journalism. Every last MSM organization would hit run African famine stories for 6 weeks to 3 months only to switch to other stories for a few years to come back to shine a spotlight on it again. Nothing changed. Just DDSS.
That is not a way to report or consume news. The President has a presidential briefing it covers all areas. CEOs have briefings also. They cover a broad range that affect their company from the general economy, politics of note & industry specific co

These are bumps in the road to people in Washington. they’ll pull on the strings attached to heart hard, because they never let a crisis go to waste, they’ll dump stuff that has been asked for on a Friday before a long weekend so it will be buried. By dragging out & delaying releasing information they shape events. They will say we released it so were not hiding anything, it is old news. But timed information release is just as important in politics as when a person like Napolean release his reserves in battle. Historians & other criticize commanders of battles for the timing of the release of their reserves, where they had them positioned on the battle field & whether they released them in “penny packets” whereby they are defeated in detail & are mauled or whether they released them in sufficient mass. The same tactics in the abstract are used in the time date data dumps in Washington, the leaks, the allied political groups doing the same or bring up issues. It is stage managed.
Yes, the President & others (all sides) are genuinely concerned. They are also at the same time ‘happy’ that there is some distraction every few weeks or few months so they can move all their chess pieces out of sight & out of mind. Meaning they don’t want a full fledged discussion and proper disclosure of information form FOIA, etc.

American interests include being able to travel overseas for business, vacation or to meet family & be secure in one’s person.
With a MB or Al Nusrah gaining control of Syria or Syrian being a failed state on some degree, that it becomes problematic for American citizens to be safe. Wit Al Nursrah & similar groups being 16% of the Syrian Rebels & being the most organized & best fighters, I don’t see how a Post Assad Syria is in our interests. Not the way it is being done.

Dec. 15, 2012 at 11:13amI hope this does not mean our schools look like correctional facilities, with concrete car blocks, razor wire, and sniper nests.
and while an armed security man might have limited the tragedy, especially if he had to force his way into the school, statistically some day one of the security people would have an issue with a teacher or a student.
NOT saying that guns are the problem… poison, edged weapons, fire, bare hands… it is not possible to rid mankind of weapons.
the simple and sad truth is that we cannot totally eliminate tragedy or protect against evil. Instead, we need to be vigilant, plan ahead, learn from what happens, and move on remembering the victims.
I have already heard that 10 minutes to entry was ‘too long.’ A single headlong rush by a responding officer might have merely increased the number of dead, and so far the response that has been shown has been solid in my humble opinion… cries to ban weapons ignore those crucial minutes when the victim and the victimizer are the only ones on scene. I do not know if i support arming all teachers… for a teacher… in that sensitive position, i would advocate specific mental health checks and training, but we armed pilots after 9/11. And if the argument comes down to ‘banning guns’ vs. ‘arming teachers’ my choice would be with offering they and their students real potential protection over the placebo of ‘guns are outlawed’ leaving only the outlaws with guns.

Dec. 15, 2012 at 11:07amI just read your great article and I fully agree with you. In addition to what you have analyzed, I think that also words can sometimes be even more dangerous that weapons. See how some black leaders talk about killing whites or the recent comment made by Harry Belafonte recommending Obama to rule like a third world dictator and jail conservatives. Furthermore the whole World accepts Hamas calling for the killing of Jews and nobody says anything, not even the U.N. Violence has become part of our sick society and our government is provoking violence as well. The Fast & Furious case is a big example of that. So how can the actual corrupt government talk about gun control at all? The same is true for Hollywood with their so called “action” movies where the whole issue is about killing people and make the audience laugh??!! And these are the same morons, who after making lots of money by selling garbage, that speak in favor of gun control??!!

Thank you!
@ Zurich
Quite so, couldn’t agree more. The anti-liberty movement is proceeding at a shocking rate and the hypocrisy is so thick and blatant that it’s hard to keep track of these days.
@Everybody
Feel free to sign up to the forum on my site. I’m also interested in submissions for articles, if you write professionally or well and can accept editorial corrections (spelling, grammar, etc). :) The discussion form has a lot of different topics, but you won’t be able to see them until you sign up (except for the General section, which is open to the public for reading).

Dec. 15, 2012 at 11:53amThank you Ed, I really appreciate that. There’s a forum there as well, I’m really hoping to get a meeting place setup which allows detailed, in depth discussions without a ‘character remaining’ limit, lol.

Nobody cares about you or your neurosis. Sorry. You don’t have to participate, and if it makes you feel better, nobody will care.

A wall without defenders is just an obstacle course. A defense must be active & at some point go over to the offense in order defeat someone with ill intent.
You must meet violence (in the sort term) with violence.
