MSNBC Guest Says We Should Profile ‘White Men’ as School Shooters
If you thought the Newtown, Connecticut shooting was one place where a refuge from racial politics could be found, you were deeply mistaken. At least one commentator on MSNBC is determined to bring the subject up.
In a conversation on MSNBC’s Up With Chris Hayes, Salon columnist David Sirota argued that the discussion surrounding the shooting in Newtown has been spared a larger degree of ugliness by the fact that the shooter in this case – Adam Lanza – was a white man. However, Sirota did not see this as a positive. Rather, he saw it as evidence that America is willing to leap to the easy out of racial profiling for every crime except for school shootings. Why? Because school shootings, according to Sirota, are perpetrated by white people.
To that end, Sirota made the following comment while responding to the idea that the mentally ill might be followed and surveyed by the government with the same zeal as the terrorist watch list.
“The issue with it will be, politically, I think; the profile is white men. That’s a profile that’s not, essentially, in America allowed to be profiled. That’s the one profile in America that’s not allowed to be profiled.”
Moreover, Sirota fingered the Republican party as the biggest obstacle to such profiling, believing they would react to any attempt to profile mentally ill white people the same way they had reacted to the infamous Department of Homeland Security report on “right wing extremism” in America.
“The Republicans said, ‘This is a way to demonize, essentially, white America, or ‘good, God-fearing Americans,’” Sirota remarked.

If all (or most ) of the shooters have been young psychotic Caucasian males, they should be profiled and prevented access to weapons. Just like we should be screening young Muslim males to get on airplanes, not mothers and children. The reality is that profiling works, no matter how much it annoys the left. I’m not saying to take their rights away, just watch them closer for any signs that they may be ready to commit a crime.

The most deadly school shooting was done by Seung-Hui Cho at Virginia Tech. He killed 32 and wounded 17. He was not white.

I cringe everytime one of these things happens, first for the victims and their families and then for the ripple effect across the land on how folks view certain people.
I am not surprised that some on the MSM channels want to bring this kind of racist profiling upon the greater majority of hardworking, honest and good citizens of these United States esp White males. This does not bode well for the multi-culture and yet is another attempt by the Left to divide us along racial lines.

Huberty lived just up the hill and he exhibited traits that were only recognized after the shooting. Imagine parked on the freeway right next to Mc Donalds and feeling helpless. I’ve seen so many bodies in my life. Viet Nam was one thing, but I was no longer in a war zone. We need more ways for people to defend themselves. I couldn’t protect people, only fill out reports about what happened. Each time an arrest is made for any violation of law, there is no way to tell if it saved a life That is the unknown factor.

The more interesting issue is these killers are all young males, barely in their 20s. What is going on with young males? We have a mental health crisis, not a gun crisis. What’s interesting, is if someone in charge had a weapon, these defensless victims might have been spared. Without protection they were sitting ducks. Getting rid of guns won’t get rid of crazies and it won’t disarm them either. A bomb can be made from common household cleaners and chemicals. An automobile or truck aimed at a crowd can do as much damage if not more. This is nothing more than a emotional appeal to non thinkers in order to disarm the citizenry.

They have already labeled the tea party as being racist.
If you are retired or active duty military, the minute the US govt offers you and you accept physiological help, you will be considered mentally ill, and might as well kiss ever obtaining a Concealed Carry Weapon goodbye.
