Following the horrific act of violence that occurred in Newtown, Conn. on Friday, some anti-gun advocates are calling for NRA president David Keene and all other members of the NRA to be shot. To be clear, these people are calling for violence to solve what they think is the cause of many acts of violence — guns.
All NRA members should be shot!!!!I thank you, that’s one of my own !!

Solution: Get every member of the NRA to stand in a circle, aim & shoot! Sorted

Happy I live in Canada not USA. Land of handgun nuts.nra should be shot & put out of their misery. Not babies@school.

Some have since deleted their tweets, but we still have the screen shots.
As Twitchy points out, “@BayAreaHouston is not just any random Twitter user. He is John Cobarruvias, a Democratic Party precinct chair in Houston, according to Houston blog Big Jolly Politics. (Update: He is also member of the State Democratic Executive committee.)”
The obvious point here is, violence can never be solved with more violence.
On Friday, shooter Adam Lanza shot and killed his mother before driving to Sandy Hook Elementary and killing 20 children and six adults before taking his own life.
The NRA has been quiet in the aftermath of Friday’s elementary school shooting, shutting down their Facebook page and not registering any posts on Twitter since Friday morning, CBS Washington reports.
The gun rights group has still received criticism for its silence following the shooting. However, if the NRA spoke out in favor of guns so close to the shooting, they would surely be ridiculed by those same critics for “politicizing” a tragedy. So while it seems like a lose-lose situation for them, the NRA is sticking with respectful silence for now.

Dec. 17, 2012 at 8:41pmFirearms are used far more often by law abiding citizens for personal defense than for the horrible murders committed by deranged criminals. (Although this fact is rarely (if ever) reported by the MSM)
Guns act as “force equalizers” for all men, women, and children enabling defense from stronger, or more able, violent attackers that would otherwise not be possible. Please add this site to the list of those attempting to highlight the defensive use of firearms typically reported by local media:

Dec. 17, 2012 at 8:39pmVery nice! Lets ban all guns! Wait, we need to shoot all NRA members…..THEN lets ban guns! Very well said, Lefties show their true colors. So they are basically advocating violence to achieve peace?
I am an NRA member. I am absolutely devestated by this mass shooting in Newtown, CT. 6 & 7 year olds….and let us not forget the innocent adults whom were cut down in cold blood…..absolutely senseless. The National Rifle Association is all about firearm safety and responsibility…that is its foundation. The NRA is not a collection of violent anarchists; that’s the Occupy Wall Street crowd.
Extremely strict gun controls do not stop this kind of violence, it is my opinion that it only encourages acts such as this case. I am not opposed to changing “gun laws”; rather I am encouraging it. But lets change them in the right way. For example, Gun Free Zones do not work. Newtown is an example. Sandy Hook is a Gun Free Zone, how well did that work? Take the chains off. Let people who are qualified to purchase a gun, and can pass a C&C carry a handgun. Let the teachers and administrators of schools carry a weapon. Sure, we can put extra “qualification” criteria behind school employees whom are willing to have guns on school property…but let those whom are willing, qualify, and able do so. It won’t stop this type of thing to happen in the future, but we can never totally stop it.

Dec. 17, 2012 at 8:34pmI have a strange hunch that the firearm business is going to have a big boom starting in Jan. Those evil gunshows will be elbow to elbow. Does that count as part of an “improving economy”? Wonder if Obama will take the credit for it like he does for everything else??
Support economic growth; buy a gun! And don’t forget the ammo, and plenty of magazines (if required for operation).

Dec. 17, 2012 at 8:47pmI hear you man….unfortunately, we can never completely seperate the wheat from the chaff. In this case, the shooter stole his mother’s weapons. There are safe-guards in place to weed out those whom attempt to purchase a weapon through legitimate means. It works most of the time. There is also the black market, it works all of the time. We can stop the legitimate way, but then those of us whom are responsible firearm owners, whom have NO inclinations to engage in such deplorable behaviour such as flat out murder, will not be able to purchase weapons legitimately for hunting and personal protection. That will work 100% of the time.
But then there is the black market. That will continue to work 0% of the time in terms of preventing people from getting weapons; regardless if its a single shot .22 pistol, a semi-automatic AR-15, or a semi-automatic AK-47.
Weapons are not a root cause. The shooter holding the weapon with evil intent is the root cause.

Dec. 17, 2012 at 8:29pmMost who comment will be supporters of the second amendment and probably an NRA member (as am I). We can all make the valid arguments that should destroy the myth that gun control solves any violence related problem. But, many people, maybe most, in this country will not listen to logic and this President and the progressives have it on their agenda to limit the second amendment and eliminate it if at all possible. Don’t think it can be done. How about the AK town in which the mayor has just effectively instituted martial law by having police in swat outfits stopping anyone out walking. A replay of the Nazi tactic and the communist tactic of creating such chaos that the population demands to be protected. How ready the government will be to answer that request. Expect the answer very soon.

Dec. 17, 2012 at 8:26pmThis shooting in CT. had nothing to do with the NRA. This shooting didn’t really have as much to do about guns as it does about a nut job behind the gun. Never in history has there ever been an incident were a gun just went off and started mass murdering people. But like Rahm Emmanuel said, never let a crisis go to waste.

Dec. 17, 2012 at 8:26pmSomeone posting to “murder every NRA member” – is that not “hate speech”. Should the Department of Justice be looking for this individual so that they can keep tabs on him so that he doesn’t go get an assault weapon and shoot up the NRA building? President Obama said that he has had to attend “4″ of these mass killings (Dana Perrino was right when she said it is actually “5″ because of the Fort Hood shooting) since he has been president. My question: This didn’t happen during Bush’s last term – why is it happening now?

Dec. 17, 2012 at 8:25pmGet wise people. This is the true face of the Democrat party. The party of civility, tolerance, and caring. This is the party that would shove the peace sign up our #sses then talk about necessity. This is what you should realize is the enemy to freedom and our families for the future. This is the party that many members, would love to back up to new boxcars, to the conservative collective, for short trips to anywhere that can be controlled and patrolled. Don’t laugh and doubt it but look at what’s going on. Look at your celebs and politicians and listen to them. It’s really there.

Dec. 17, 2012 at 8:23pmI don’t understand the faux anger of the left. Don’t they know that we all live in a democratic republic?
If the left wants to ban the right to ban arms, let them put forward a constitutional amendment to change or revoke the Second Amendment.
Not a city, state of federal agency should be able to inhibit our constitutional right to own or bear arms. Everyone should own and bear one. It would guarantee a civil society.
Remember, it took the guarantee of the Second Amendment to get the U.S. Constitution ratified.
If you want a dependable and defendable U.S. Constitution, revere the Second Amendment.
If you want a revolution, revoke the Second Amendment.

Dec. 17, 2012 at 8:22pmThis gun vs. anti-gun conversation IS getting really dangerous. Enough with the emotional outcries on banning guns and public death threats with a gun, may I add, (WOW! Stupid reaching new heights) against those who had no part in this national tragedy. Yes. This event IS a national tragedy. How about focusing on the root cause: Keeping firearms out of the hands of the mentally ill? I doubt that anyone with half of a brain would disagree. But I could be wrong. Let’s start there.
