Michael Moore Goes on Anti-American Twitter Rant After Sandy Hook: ‘We Began America [With] Genocide”

Leftist filmmaker Michael Moore has proudly denied television requests in the wake of Friday’s horrific shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary, claiming he has already made his case on gun control.
The result seems to be a disproportionate overflow on Twitter, where Moore seems to be arguing that 26 innocent people were killed not because of a crazy murderer, but because “America believes in killing” as evidenced by our founding, and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“A country that officially sanctions horrific violence (invade Iraq, drones kill kids, death penalty) Is surprised when a 20-yr old joins in?” he wrote Sunday, equating the war with the slaughter of innocent schoolchildren in Connecticut.

Moore proceeded to parrot New York City Mayor Bloomberg’s assertion that such killings happen “only in America.”
“It’s all violence & it’s all connected. Why does this happen only in America? The answer is right in front of u. And it’s not just the guns,” he tweeted.
Soon after the attack, Moore also singled out the National Rifle Association (NRA) as hating “freedom.”
“The NRA hates freedom,” he claimed on Twitter. “They don’t want you to have the freedom to send your children to school & expect them to come home alive.”
So what’s Moore’s solution? Aside from an immediate ban on “semi-automatic weapons and mega-clips” and mandatory mental exams, the man who made an advertisement vowing to “c**k punch” the 2012 Republican presidential nominee warns that we must “change our society from one of perpetual war and fear to one of peace and tolerance.”

If I were related to a teacher killed by the Gunman I would be suing the “government” for the death of my loved-one.
They took away the 2nd Amendment Right and the Ability for my loved-one to defend themselves.
Turn the Tables on these People !!!!
Tell a Cop who stops you, that you are video and audio taping this encounter for yours and HIS safety.
Tell him anything he says could be used in a court of law.

Posted on December 17, 2012 at 2:31pm“Saying NO to ANY Shape Or Form of Gun Control” So by your assertion individuals should be allowed to own a functioning tank, a fighter jet, a PT boat. And why not they are just big guns aren’t they. The point is of course that any rational individual would argue that reasonable limits need to be placed on what type of guns individuals should be allowed to purchase and own. And thus once you ignore the ideological zealots on each side of issue and speak to the rational thinking folks, you will obtain agreement that there should be a very high threshold for purchasing a firearm of any kind. The firearm should be registered and the owner should assume complete responsibility for the use of the firearm. Assault weapons and high capacity clips should be banned from sale or ownership. Owner should assert that their firearms are held under lock and key and only used by them. Firearms that are stolen should be reported in 48 hours. And as for carrying a firearm, it is interesting to note we have stronger laws on carrying an open container of beer than firearms in many cities and states. And the notion that individuals in the school or the Colorado movie theater, other than perhaps an assigned policeman, should have had guns to protect themselves and the victims is beyond stupid.

A compromise at the bare minimum should be; We can have more gun controls, and limits on weapons, as long as our own government abides by them as well…..I don’t know if I would agree to this because it puts America in a vulnerable position against foreign governments, but it would be a start…
The only way to truly (well it’s not 100% so not truly but you will get the point) stop criminal getting their hands on guns is to destroy every last one on the globe, even the ones in the possession of the governmentS of the world…..We know how they like to run guns to criminals when they don’t want to get their hands dirty…..when this happens i will be all in on giving up my 2nd amendment right to bear guns.
And even though i say we should be able to own tanks and fighter jets….the average citizen would not be able to afford one to park in their garage…please that argument is lame.
We need to stop being ashamed of the reason we have the second amendment in the first place.

The Genocide my ancestors suffered came from progressives like you. It was called Manifest Destiny, It was the belief promoted by Democratic politicians such as James K. Polk that it was inevitable that the American people would create a nation from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. The goal was to promote Jacksonian Democracy by expanding the lands available to yeomen farmers and slave plantation owners. Conservatives at the time, led by the Whig Party, strongly rejected the doctrine and instead said that America’s future was in modernization, urbanization and industrialization. Henry Clay and Abraham Lincoln were leading Whigs who spoke out against manifest Destiny, especially when it entangled the U.S. in a war with Mexico in 1846.

This country was built by immigrants. Not everybody in North America owned slaves, so no, the country was not built by slaves, Egypt was, Rome was, but the United States was not. It’s time for the government to censor twitter accounts, Moore should know that free speech does not include hate speech and there certainly are laws concerning speech that incites violence.
The shooter in thiscase gained access to his mothers guns. Perhaps personal responsibility should be a major part of any gun control discussion.
I would be in favor of owners of these weapons be required to keep them secured in centrally located secure storage, something like safe deposit boxes at the bank. Access granted ONLY to the registered owner. The lock ups could be at gun stores, Cabels, Bass Pro or other businesses that buy and sell guns. It is irresponsible for owners of guns to allow anyone besides themselves to have access to their weapons.

That idea sounds like a good first step to a government gun grab.
Just put your weapons in this locked facility. Get your receipt.
And, some day, when the government decides to, that facility will no longer be accessible to you.
No thanks. I’ll keep my guns at home, where my family (gun trained, of course) and me have instant access to them.

The expedition occurred during the summer of 1779, beginning June 18 when the army marched from Easton, Pennsylvania, to October 3 when it abandoned Fort Sullivan, built at Tioga, to return to New Jersey, and only had one major battle, at Newtown along the Chemung River in western New York, in which about 1,000 Iroquois and Loyalists were decisively defeated by an army of 3,200 Continental soldiers.
Sullivan’s army then carried out a scorched earth campaign, methodically destroying at least forty Iroquois villages throughout the Finger Lakes region of western New York, to put an end to Iroquois and Loyalist attacks against American settlements as had occurred the previous year. The devastation created great hardships for the thousands of Iroquois refugees outside Fort Niagara that winter, and many starved or froze to death. The survivors fled to British regions in Canada and the Niagara Falls and Buffalo areas.[1]
The Sullivan Expedition devastated the Iroquois crops and towns and left them at the mercy of the British for the harsh winter of 1779-80.

my liberal arts professors taught me that race was a made up concept…not that only ‘white’ people committed genocide. no professor of comparative genocide would ever make such a ridiculous assertion. do you really believe that that is what is taught in higher education?
now, as for the idea of going back or returning to europe. look buddy, my ancestors escaped europe, we did not come here willingly. i love this country and will continue to love this country. i dont ever want to live somewhere else…but that doesn’t mean that i would be opposed to returning a substantial portion of land to native peoples. you know, the land that was illegally stolen from them (in violation of the trade and non intercourse acts).
i respect america. its founding principles. its founding doctrines. and even its treaties. and i think that we should abide by all of them. my love of country, however, unlike yours, hasn’t blinded me to the historic injustices of this land nor does it force me into knee jerk reactionaries as you have posited.

The American Indians were not one people. they were very happy to wipe each other out. It is one of the reasons that the Indians do not want any DNA studies of an burials from 7,000 or 10,000 years ago. There are legitimate religious concerns, but there are also concerns about how the Americas became populated.
My point in the original post was that Michael Moore & people like you speak & try to get other people to think that Europeans were the original sin of mankind.
Things I know. Pastoralists & agriculturalists will have conflicts up to & including war. Relatively sparsely populated areas like the Americas will be entered by people not originally from those areas.
Liberals bring up ad nauseum any massacre by Europeans, but pay very little if any perpetrated by Indians. They don’t pay attention to Indian on Indian violence. You know the Apache are originally from Canada. Before 19492 they made there way to the southwest & took land from some tribe That was not in the linguistic group as the surrounding tribes.
My point in bring up is this. Liberals point out everything bad about Europeans in order to prove they are worse than anyone else. That way they have brow beat people into doing what they want. And that is just f/cked up. Anyone who used that ploy is f/cked up & not a good person or one to be trusted.
Mind you there was another race (not European) in the western U.S. before or existing at the same time as the Indians. Where

Race is a biological fact. You can map the prevalence of alleles in certain populations compared to other populations. These differences are the basis of racism/discrimination. I have seen animals practice it (The difference was just the tweaking of 1 gene. Now that is f/cked up). It is real. It is also petty & animalistic. Even if everyone descended form 1 set of parents, then a few dozen of generations from now people would ignorantly be split up by race.
This discrimination must be overcome. But it has to be done in a trust but verify manner. Otherwise you get owned.

God says in Exodus 20:13–Thou shalt not kill.
That commandment was given between individuals.
MM including killing by “death penalty” is not covered under Exodus 20:13 (the death penalty is “justice”). MM including the killing in wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are not covered under Exodus 20:13 (Jesus said there will always be “wars and rumours of war”).
MM is missing the point – it is not about “killing” with law-abiding citizens – it is about “personal protection” or “self-preservation that God has given to each individual”.
Even though not a member of the NRA – the NRA is too easy of a scapegoat!

A fully armed public is probably going to be the only thing to keep these bastards in check.
His stance is interesting considering he blasts the government every day on his show, but somehow he trusts them enough not to turn on its citizens.

We ask President Obama to stand with law abiding gun owners in this time of tragedy. Guns laws could not have prevented Adam Lanza from killing 27 innocents. The real question is what made this disturbed young man into a murderer of children. Where is the outrage at the violent video games he played? A piece of plastic and steel doesn’t have a will Mr. President. Evil is not law abiding, and Adam Lanza stole those guns after failing to buy one legally. it is America’s law abiding gun owners who would have died with Victoria Soto and Dawn Hochsprung defending the children with only our bodies on December 14th, because it was already illegal to bring a gun into that school. Please don’t pander to the politics Mr. President. A feeding frenzy of new gun legislation is not the answer.
