Charles Krauthammer: Hillary Clinton ‘Seems to Have a Severe Benghazi Allergy’

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton planned to testify before Congress this week on the deadly Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi, however, officials say she suffered a concussion after becoming ill with a stomach virus. Deputy Secretary of State William Burns is now scheduled to testify in her absence.

Appearing on Fox News Tuesday, syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer joked that Clinton “seems to have a severe Benghazi allergy.”

Krauthammer explained that it was U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, not Clinton, who addressed the American people five days after the attack. Rice appeared on several Sunday shows and provided information that was later determined to be false.

“Now that she’s supposed to speak to the Congress about this, she has this illness. Now, I am not going to say she doesn’t have one. I’d be happy to give her a neurologic exam, but in the absence of that, I’ll take her word. But there is something strange about this,” Krauthammer said.

On Sept. 11, heavily armed militants laid siege to the U.S. Mission in Benghazi and a nearby CIA annex. U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed in the fiery attack. The Obama administration initially placed blame on an anti-Muslim YouTube video, but later admitted terrorist involvement.

For some apparent reason you seem to think that you are a very smart person and above people on this forum. Can you give one instance where your intelligence is greater than the people here.

I see at times that you go to forums and copy and paste and then claim to be this superior person and I have yet to see any evidence that you are what you want to claim yourself to be.

I will admit that I dropped out of high school and took the GED when I was at Paris Island. I would never claim that I am an intellect by any means.

I only supervised electrical engineers and fought off lawyers with ill gotten advise. I was forced to argue points against college educated people that interpreted law differently than I did and I seem to mostly won.

Now what was your point again?

Sillary is gonna dance around this forever, especially since Boehner will do nothing about it..Issa will, and i hope he really pushes this to the forefront, as he has all the military behind him to do it. Seals life and ambassador life lost cause Hillary would not protect them. She;s in charge, needs to be held accountable. Congress and Senate is so weak right now, Clinton cover up will go on, just like Holder with fast and furious..

  The entire scenario painted by the administration reminds me of the old “my dog ate my homework” retort to an unbelieving teacher in third grade.
  
  If you’ll recall, the day’s “spontaneous” events began in Cairo. Problem is, the events in Cairo were anything but spontaneous. The Muslim Brotherhood actually took out ads in Cairo newspapers to promote attendance at the demonstration at the US Embassy on 9/11/12. Additionally, CNN had an ace reporter on the ground in Cairo early in the AM of 9/11/12. The reporter asked the son of the “Blind Sheik,” who is in a US Federal prison in NC, what the demonstration was all about. The man replied that the whole demonstration was to promote the release of the Blind Sheik. Oh, I forgot, the video report from Sun News also showed giant street posters hanging from light poles promoting the demonstration at the US Embassy in Cairo.
  
  You can google all this by inserting “Brian Lilley, Sun News, Ottawa, Benghazi report, Cairo.” It’s all out there; but, the MSM absolutely ignores it to suit their purposes, whatever those are. One thing that you can count on is that their purpose runs counter to the interests of Main Street America.

  If it’s a matter of national security and a possible (obvious) cover-up, you don’t get to excuse yourself from testifying because you had a tummy ache and bumped your wee wittle head! I don’t care if they have to bring you in on a stretcher, if you are the one holding necessary information, then by God you will be there!

  Ambrosia – love the post and agree with all of it except one thing: she WILL be the next POTUS. Even if we ever find out the truth about Benghazi, it will NOT be her fault. Either Susan Rice will be saddled with it, or even Ambdr Stevens himself – and probably the latter because he is dead and cannot defend himself. And even if it somehow DOES get blamed on her, well what the hell? All of us make mistakes sometimes. What kind of society would we be if we actually held one of our fearless leaders accountable??? After all, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone”…
  
  First, the lamestream media gave us the historical precedent of the first black president. Now their duty will be to give us the first woman president. And just think of the experience she brings with her – so much more than the first black president! (So now where’s your argument, you silly conservatives???)
  
  Face it, gang – Jamie Foxx’s lord and savior will have control of both houses of the legislative branch in 2014, and this time, they won’t waste time with silly drawn out conversations to throw the dirt on the coffin.

There is no mystery here. The Republican Congress led by Congressman Boehner is a spineless wimp. If this is leadership then yes the Republican Party is dead.

I am a conservative and not a Republican and I can assure you that if this is the best that the Republican Party can give us then yes the Democrats will retain power and continue to grow stronger.

I do not vote Republican, I vote for conservatism and if the majority of Americans think socialism is the way to go and the Republican Party wants to attach themselves to this then so be it.

The Democrats win, simple as that.

Well, darn it all…it is obvious she is in soooooo deep that there is no LIE that would get her out of damnation. Subpoena her before the Congress and get sworn testimony. The COWARDS in Congress are now as culpable as she, as they are with not impeaching treasonous 0. An immoral pack of murders and thieves with NO saving grace among them. Do any of you remember how much she suddenly couldn’t remember when she testified back then? It is going to be the same thing now. If she does testify, I wouldn’t expect her to remember too much.

Hillary knows enough to sink obama and the democratic party. She knows that some hard questions will be asked of her about Benghazi and she has very little wiggle room to make their actions even feasible. Her and Bill are trying to decide what is in her best interest to say. She is a accessory to murder and obama certainly is a murderer by omission. The fact that she is using such a lame excuse to be absent from the proceedings shows the contempt democrats have for the American people.

  “Send the Meteors” expect us to believe that if you are hired by N\CNN, MSNBC or NBC, then you are without question objective. But if you are hired by FOXNEWS then you can never be objective. That is is not probable or possible.
  
  I gave a list of Krauthammer’s employment to show that he has had many different employers from media consider both left & right.

  I dunno’ about her being the next prez. That’s four years away, and if she’s already falling, and getting concussions to boot, I wonder whether she’ll be in good enough shape for such a job.
  
  Falling and/or losing your memory is usually one of the signs of physical and mental deterioration. She is, after all, getting on in years. I’m rather surprised that Bill is still alive, after that bypass surgery he had. How many years has it been since he was operated on? Eight? That’s quite a while for someone who’s had a quadruple bypass surgery. The prognostic survival rate is still better than 50% after eight years though.
  
  My point is that Hillary is rapidly approaching geezerhood, if she’s not arrived there already. At her age (65), four years can be a very long time, and that doesn’t include the rigors of a campaign, and perhaps four more years after that. It’s not the way to bet.

  Hillary lives power. To her the best way tom take it form her is from her cold dead grasping hands after she has died of natural cause after a long life. Then her hope is that her progeny are the one’s that do the prying.

  You are why we are here, “don’t think she will lie” my god man or woman…….they all lie, day in and day out. You brought us here, any person whom thinks government is for the people, caused our currant situation. Wake up, Grow up or just walk into the cage. I can’t believe that anyone trust the government.   She knew she was screwed at the air base, while standing over the dead bodies. It was written all over her face. She never showed any emotion when all those personal friends around her died or went to prison, but she did this time. She is pure evil.
