Here’s the Chart That Supporters of a Federal Assault Weapons Ban Won’t Want to See
While anti-gun advocates argue that banning semi-automatic rifles, like the popular AR-15, will help decrease shooting deaths in the U.S., FBI data suggests that the average American is more likely to be killed by “hands, fists” or “feet” than a rifle. The anti-gun crowd has intensified its calls for a federal assault weapons ban following the tragedy in Newtown, Conn. last week.
“Yes, massacres tend to be done with weapons like this. But not most gun murders in the U.S.: a vast majority of gun murders in the U.S. are committed with a handgun,” The Washington Examiner’s Timothy Carney writes.

As you can see in the chart pictured above, the vast majority of murders in the U.S. are indeed committed with handguns, not rifles. More people were killed with shotguns (373), knifes/blades (1,704) and “other weapon[s]” (1,772) more often than they were with rifles in 2010, which were reportedly used in 358 murders that year.
Whether it’s a knife, gun or a fist, will a “ban” of any kind sway a deranged individual’s decision to take human lives?

Posted on December 26, 2012 at 6:25pmWe as a society have not delved deep enough into what is REALLY behind the mass shootings. The media and the Soviet control minded Liberals want to tell us it is our guns that killed those people.
It was not the kid who was mentally deficient, nor was it the kid who was weird and was singled out as some sort of outcast because he wore the exact same outfit everyday of his life, nor was it the (presumed) fault of the mother not to lock up her firearms from her sicko kid who she did not even trust.
Nope, they say it was the gun. The very same gun that tens of MILLIONS of us own but for some reason our AR-15′s have not woke us up in the middle of the night and “held their selves to our heads” and forced us into an afternoon of killing and mass murdering.
Nope – so what IS really behind all of this? All of these mass shooting people were found to have driven to their murder destination. So, I propose if you really want to stop mass killings we need to confiscate all automobiles, scooters, motorcycles, trucks, mopeds, and yes, even pedal power bikes. ALL TRANSPORTATION to include skates, skateboards – everything and anything that can propel a mental case to arm up and go kill people should be confiscated by armed Marines door to door if need be – all in the name to keep our children safe. Who’s with me? Anyone who will not relinquish his/her wheel powered devices will be executed in the streets like the left’s idol – Stalin did just a few decades ago.
