New Unedited Video Appears to Prove Alleged Mich. Union Activist’s Assault on Fox Contributor – Watch It Here
While the Michigan Legislature debated last week whether it should pass right-to-work legislation, pro-union and union-affiliated demonstrators swarmed the state Capitol building to protest the historic occasion.
And for at least a few alleged union activists, “protest” means “attack” and “dismantle.”
We’re sure you remember TheBlaze’s report on the assault on Fox News contributor Steven Crowder:

And you may not know this, but in the days following the release of the original video of the attack on Crowder, several people accused him of instigating the fight by goading and then physically pushing the alleged union activist:

However, despite all the “well, he started it” arguments from left-leaning sites, newly released footage from Crowder may finally reveal the truth of the matter. The whole video sets up the incident, but pay special attention at the 5:40 mark (CONTENT WARNING: PERVASIVE GRAPHIC LANGUAGE):
We’ve screen grabbed the relevant moments and also highlighted where Crowder’s hands are as the man falls:
“They were tearing down the [Americans for Prosperity] tent,” Crowder told TheBlaze last week. “Now that sort of becomes a melee. They were trying to tear down the [AFP] tent and people were trying to pull them off … there were people in there. It’s their property.”
“And as they [the union activists] did that, a few people tripped,” he continued, “this guy tripped over a tent peg and then got up and hit me.”
Though shaky, it would appear that the new footage confirms Crowder’s version of events.
“I was punched in the face four times,” Crowder told TheBlaze in an email. “I must have started it. I filed a police report — nobody cared.”
“I’ve now released undeniable, extensive footage that removes all doubt,” he adds, “but I guess I deserved it anyway. Leftists will lie and attack to defend their narrative at all costs. Sunlight is the best disinfectant there is. Breitbart lives.”

Excuse me sir, look at the signs. The union is protesting against right to work. They are protesting for laws that force people to join the union and give the union an unfair advantage in the bargaining process. They are voting for an unlevel playing field forced in their favor by the government.
You will find that most folks on the right have no problem whatever with legit unions. It is these groups that force us into their view of the world, by using the money forced out of members to lobby (the pc word for bribe) the government to give them an unfair advantage. It is also folks that use thuggary and coersion, part and parcel of most big union organizations, that most sane folks are against. It is the union bosses that line their pockets and the pockets of polititions with the ill-gotten dues forced from the pockets of folks who just want the “right to work”.

“Right to Work”… “IS” supporting the “Free Market”. Unions suppress an individuals rights just as if a Corporation (or Corporations) took over a market pushing out any competition big or small. Laws are needed to limit the powers from both Unions and Corporations in order to maintain a competitive environment based on quality and value. You wouldn’t want to be forced to purchase from just one Corporation any more than you should be forced to purchase from one Union. Sometimes Unions are needed, but there should always be an option.

With this persident in place the rabid are encouraged and the silent remain so. IF the union’s get their way and it is very possible with Obama’s tacit approval, the membership in unions will loose the secret ballot and the states with the right to work will become Union shops and we will be in even worse shape that before.
If you don’t believe that the unions have become embolden then just take a look at the the teamsters flag above the American stars and stripes on their National buildings flag pole. To make maters worse it is at 1/2 mast.
Don’t see anything wrong with that. Then imagine the Mexican flying higher that our flag on the same pole? Also nothing is to be on the pole but the Stars and stripes when at 1/2 mast.

Layoff’s, strikes, more layoffs and finally both companies went out of business. Then I went to work at a non union shop, and I’ve been working steady for the last 30 years, no strikes, no layoffs, no complaints. Unions suck the life out of everything.

He was there protesting but didn’t want to be challenged. In addition to the police not being willing to take action, the media’s spin on this is another crime. Self-appointed thought police and propaganda meisters are the worst enemy to freedom. Without henchmen, no agenda-driven tyrant has any power.

By the way, the fat boy who fell was beligerent before the tumble, and embarassed by his clumsiness. So he comes up swinging. He’s lucky Crowther (sp?) didn’t fight back and hand him his head. Look at the way Crowther holds his hands high and in front. That may look like he’s giving up, but I can tell you from my expereince that he is preparing to deflect any additional attack. Standing with your hands down at your side will get you gob-smacked. Crowther also protects himself by dropping his head low, pushes the fat guy at the shoulder joint (interfering with any swings he might take) and basically stops the guy in mid-attack. I think Crowther can handle himself in a fight. I’m just saying.

If he had taken a swing at this man who was being overtly abusive in trying to goad Crowder into an altercation, Crowder would have been arrested. The gentleman did trip over something as he was backing up and because he was jawing with Crowder right before he took the tumble, he decided to swing at Crowder because he had no other way to deflect the unwanted attention he was now receiving because of his own foolish actions that led to that fall. attack. It is comical to see a “man” act like a complete fool. Crowder showed amazing restraint by not going right back at him.

I also flat out refuse to by a GM car for taking a bail out. NOW the GM execs are HAMPERED from getting huge bonuses because of government strings –GM is buying BACK the USA taxpayer stock AT A HUGE LOSS TO TAXPAYERS so GM executives and union workers can get out from under government strings of bonus rules.
Even Ford is taking hand-outs – FREE MONEY to develop certain type of cars or whatever.
Taxpayer money should NEVER be given to a private company for any reason.

Posted on December 20, 2012 at 4:46pmAfter UAW Chrysler workers were caught drinking and smoking dope by news cameras twice, I scrapped my plans to buy a new Jeep Grand Cherokee and decided to hold onto my paid-for 2006 Ford Expedition.
After these latest protests in Michigan, I will NEVER buy a Chrysler or Chevrolet product again and will only consider a Ford if necessary (I also own two 08 Mustangs and they didn’t receive a big bailout). MY NEXT VEHICLE WILL BE A HONDA. If you’re going to tell me Honda workers also drink on the job I’ll take that chance, at least I don’t see them whining and committing acts of violence at what could have been a peaceful protest to gain support.

I remember a guy I had to deal with YEARS ago. they guy was MUCH bigger than me and a trained fighter. One day the goon got really pissed with me and was coming at me as if he wa going to attack me. I stood my ground and told him. there are witnesses to your threats against me PLUS security cameras all around us. I said “You TOUCH me and I will make sure you will be working for me the rest of your life. I will take you to court and take everything you own. you may be able to kick my ass here but I will rape you in court” The realization of the stupidity of the act he was about to commit hit him like a brick wall. SEARCHER is right. The guy in the video is a poster child for weight watchers. The Clumsy fat oaf tripped over a tent peg and fell flat on his arse. He was only emboldened by the fact that he had a bunch of his buddies there. Get him alone and he’d get his @ss stomped.
In those situations ever fiber of your being wants to lash out in retaliation, but Crowder actually did the right thing in walking away. Had he fought back he would have been portrayed as the instigator [he already is]. No doubt he could have whipped the fat guy’s arse had he wanted to.

Unionists cannot survive under a union busting President like Reagan. Remember the airline story. At this point it will take a robber barons/captains of industry(whichever you prefer), union busting leader or leaders to set this nation back on its knees and help it to its feet again. Compared to Obama were the titans of industry so bad? People worked and ate. Obama doesn’t let people work because he is acclimating people to government reliance making them more feeble minded. Unions don’t let people work (til they get what they want). This nation needs some serious old school industrialists, not green tech bubble *hit, but right-to-work manufacturing for Americans willing to show up and EARN a paycheck. With EEO and labor laws in place there is no need for unionization anymore and the union bosses know this. microcosm of what has happened to this Nation over the past 5 years.
Low-lifes, thugs, and criminals have moved in and overpowered everyone and
they are now collapsing our “tent”.
I yearn for the day that this all finally spirals out of control into violent upheaval
and civil war. The aftermath — cleanup and rebuilding will be fantastic.
