President Obama Nominates John Kerry as Secretary of State | Hillary Clinton

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama has nominated Sen. John Kerry as his next secretary of state, saying Kerry’s entire life “has prepared him for this role.”

If confirmed, the Massachusetts Democrat would succeed Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton in Obama’s second-term Cabinet.

Clinton did not attend the Roosevelt Room announcement. She’s recovering from a concussion sustained in a fall.

Obama said Kerry’s political career and service has established him as a respected American voice around the globe. Obama said Kerry will not need on-the-job training.

Kerry has served as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and is a decorated Vietnam veteran who was critical of the war effort when he returned home to the U.S.

He has represented Massachusetts in the Senate since 1985.

The only thing this will do is give Kerry the perceived credentials and world experience for the 2016 Presidential Run. It will soften the Swift Boat edge. In 2016 the world will be at war and tensions will be high. The left will say we need president with world leadership. Besides the left will now laud the fact that a wealthy businessman and world political leader is what we need. Wealth will be good then and not trashed as the last election. That is of course if Obama decides not to run for his third term.

  I am a proud democrat who makes a very good living, employs a lot of people that are paid very, very well and I live comfortably in the upper 2% bracket. I contribute in mind, body, spirit, and financially to my fellow man and community. I sleep very well at night.

Served in VietNam, French Looking, Get me a Huntin’ License, Can I get Swiss Cheese on my Steak Sandwich, I have a large yacht in Rhode Island but I live in Tax-A-Chusetts, Wind surf, Married well at least twice.

Lastly, Syria is led by a reformer. Bashir Assad likes him too.

No hearings necessary for this great appointment for Sec of State. He will bring back our standing in the world!

Well I cant think of anyone in Washington DC that is less qualified then the haughty John Kerry-Heinz, of swift-boat fame.

A self-proclaimed war hero, claiming to throw his own war medals, that he cheated to get, over a fence somewhere, while appearing before Congress to lie about our warriors that actualy were fighting in Vietnam.
Where the haughty Johnny, bought himself a camera to film himself in full warrior dress, while he dreamed of invading Combodia.

Yeah just what we need. I’m sure our heros around the word will be real happy to hear this, there are 4 from Benghazi that are not available for comment, due to a Hillary headache.

  TIME, Back when Kerry was running against Bush, a friend of mine who is retired Navy and Vietnam veteran, who unfortunately is a life long Democrat and Union member. He told me of the time he ran into Lurch in Vietnam. He voted for Bush in ’04.

This show was out of an LA ABC affiliate, but was completely owned by ABC at the time. Can’t really tell in any of these old videos, but Terry Garr was one of the GoGo Girls.
