This Fiscal Cliff Skit Is So Funny It’s Depressing: ‘What About Just Spending a Lot Less?’
Comedy has a way of introducing clarity. And with that said, the folks over at the “B.S. of A” took Windex to the fiscal cliff debacle over the weekend. In a simple two-minute sketch, the crew was able to introduce some sanity into the debate by asking a simple question of two make-believe senators: “What about just spending less?”
The answer is hilarious — and depressing:
You can watch the “B.S. of A” on TheBlaze TV every Saturday night at 10 p.m. ET.
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

Posted on December 21, 2012 at 4:31pmJust another isolated incident, right?
(Sing it, Pat….)
Isn’t it just amazing how these so-called mad gun men pop up exactly when the U.N. needs a crisis THAT VERY DAY to further their agenda?
And isn’t it amazing how the mad mens’ profiles and methods are all so very similar?
And the politicians in California are frothing at the mouth promoting it.
A guy on the radio the other day said his family worked in the intelligence community, and fervently asserted that this, and all the other shootings of the recent few years, were the result of the decades-old Project Monarch mind control operation.
The name alludes to the transformation (there’s that word again) from chrysalis to butterfly, representative of Monarch victims “transforming” into their more useful, prolific and revenue-enhancing alternate personalities, which they call “Alters.”
Manchurian candidates.
This all sounds nutty, except for one thing: “They” have been fully aware of, and intimate with, every one of these exact terminologies. It’s real, and they are living it.
Monarch victims are multitudinous, and they are everywhere.
It’s not some dark lab with a few test subjects, it’s all around us, in every sector and every institution.
Churches. Soccer moms. Local government. Education.
You name it.

I say make every government agency cut their budget by 10%, but you can’t get Democrats to cut anything. They believe the people are a personal ATM and they can rob from us to pay for their pet projects. Increase in taxes just means more spending. I know for a fact neither side will use increased taxes to pay off the debt. Ain’t gonna happen. They F with us constantly.
Politicians don’t care because they have a steady paycheck. They have no earthly clue what it is like to have little or no income to live. I say cut their paycheck in half and make them live in DC on half salary. Until they feel the pain, they will not care what happens to the little people.

Sure would have been nice for sheeple to realize this before the last election. I understand though. You were all caught up in the moment, and believed Romney would morph from a Progressive who wiped his feet on our constitution eg. (NDAA, CISPA, Gun Control, Romney Care) into a Conservative who would protect the rights and freedoms our Constitution is supposed to provide us. Thanks to Mitt Romney and his campaign staff we the people no longer get to choose our delegates. They will be chosen for us by the Federal Government from now on. Thank you so much for that Romney and friends.
Too bad you let the media choose your presidential candidate for you. They told you he was going to be a big winner and you bought it hook line and sinker. They told you Ron Paul was an extremist and a wearer of tinfoil hats and you just couldn’t wait to use that line in your own comments. Now all of a sudden they are both on the same side huh? Posted on December 21, 2012 at 11:43amLet’s say you have $1000 in you pocket. With that you need to pay your rent, the food bill and gas to get to work, which actually will require $1100, but you intend to shop as smartly as you can so maybe you can make do.
Your oldest son and daughter come to you at Christmas and tell you all the gifts they want. iPods, Xbox, a new car and the list goes on. They want over 100,000 worth of stuff. You tell them you can’t support that, you only have a grand, and that is needed for other stuff. They tell you to go to your boss and get more money – demand a raise. You might get some money, after all your last year’s Christmas bonus was $100. You tell them they will have to reduce their expectations for gifts. They demand you give them each $100 out of the thousand you have, and your credit card, and they promise to spend only 90,000 instead of the 100,000 they said they wanted. Taking $200 out of your money in your pocket will mean there is not gas money and you will get fired for not coming to work.
Welcome to the Obama plan for the fiscal cliff. They want a bigger chunk of money you have that is needed for more important stuff, and they want to run up the credit card which will make it even harder in the future. Their only concession is to reduce the deficit spending to less deficit spending – but still deficit spend a huge amount.
Why is this so hard for people to understand? We can’t simply play with the numbers. STOP SPENDING!

first,, all money is loaned into existence with interest
so there is more owed (interest) than money exists
if debts are paid, money is extinguished
new debt/money must be created to pay old debt interest
this is the ponzi, debt must expand or the system collapses

Posted on December 21, 2012 at 11:59amThe reality is that the Politicians and financial elites do not want to expose the real problem as they will take the blame. Now, even a balanced budget with a return to historical interest rates all Government revenue would go to interest payments. If real spending were cut, not illusionary spending, then the Global financial system would be thrown into a liquidity crisis and the the US$ global reserve status would be abandoned, all US$s would flood back into the US causing a hyper-inflationary collapse.
This will be a complete breakdown of both global and domestic systems, probably igniting WW3 and civil wars…
The elites need to keep the ponzi going and they will do everything they can to do it. The plan is a slow debt default through a managed decline in the currency via monetization, but the debt ponzi is expanding far greater than they can devalue.
The real debt, liabilities and obligations are $200 trillion and growing at 7-8 trillion per year… the deficit number is misleading data point..
Nobody wants to expose the ponzi as it will collapse…. and everybody loses everything

The LOVE of money is the root of all evil. 1 Timothy 6:10- “For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the truth faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.”
Money itself is not inherently evil/bad. God certainly uses money to bless people throughout the world, and to expand His kingdom (think purchasing Bibles, sending missionaries, paying for Scripture to be translated into new languages, providing for the needy, etc.). But like you pointed out, it’s when we allow our sin nature and/or our spiritual enemy to doop us into prioritizing things incorrectly, leading us to value money and possessions over God. So you’re right, except for that little (but very important) difference.
If we forget that it’s the LOVE of money (not the money itself) causing many bad things, we also risk not realizing that this is a heart issue. Only God can cure the corrupt condition of the human heart (Jeremiah 17:5-10). And as you seem to understand, our job is to let God transform us, not the things of this world. :)

What you don’t seem to get is that there is only so much discretionary spending in the budget. I think it was Bill Maher who explained it this way: if you had a full plate of food, discretionary spending would bee the sprout of broccoli on the plate. Even if you were to cut ALL discretionary spending, that wouldn’t solve the problem. It’s just like the way Cons are fond of pointing out that if you taxed all millionaires at 100%, you still couldn’t pay down the debt. The best thing we can do is make sensible cuts AND raise taxes in a sensible way. At one point the Dems offered the Repubs a deal where there would be seven dollars in cuts for every dollar of new revenue (i.e. taxes). The Repubs told them to go screw themselves. I heard one commentator at the time call it a “once in a lifetime deal”, in which the Dems agreed to make a lot of cuts that would hurt them among their own base. The Repubs thought all they had to do was buy some time until November, when Obama would be voted out–but things didn’t work out that way, when all of those “biased” polls showing Obama winning turned out to be correct and all of those “un-biased” pools that the Right touted turned out to be completely wrong. And just as predicted, the deal the Dems are offering now is not as good as before. That’s what happens when you pass on a once in a lifetime deal.

Posted on December 21, 2012 at 12:33pmVANCE…..I think the deal was actually 20 to 1 spending cuts to revenue, and not the 7-1 you posted. The deal fell apart when Republicans wouldn’t allow Democrats to borrow their Unicorns for their kids’ birthday parties. Republicans are jerks that way.

You are right. There is only so much descretionary spending to go around. And your little Maher is likely right, it’s like the brocolli on a large plate.
So let’s cut what we can and move on to entitlement spending. That’s the one that’s bludgeoning us so badly and adding to our debt. If we cut JUST entitlements, we’d be in the black as a country. That’s the problem. The rest of the government is mostly running on-budget. But when you have to take into account the interest on the debt and all the entitlements, it simply cannot function.
Take a look at Mr Whittle’s channel and this video in particular:

Likely property seizures (homes, vehicles, land, financial assets) in an attempt to pay for Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid. That might buy them a few months or maybe years until those takings result in even more lost revenue (they’ll have finally killed the last golden goose). Then what? Riots, rebellion? The brakes on the crazy train have been disabled and it isn’t going to stop until it derails.

Posted on December 21, 2012 at 12:03pmThis is the reason for Obamacare. It is designed to put health insurance companies out of business, then we will have “single payer”. The taxes to run government health care will go into the general fund and keep all the other unconstitutional crap going for awhile, and when the money runs low……..viola, rationing. Rationed because the govenment will not make our health a priority, but instead, building monuments to their own vanity will take precedence along with funding the ever-growing police state. It won’t matter anymore if one has led an ethical life dedicated to supporting oneself and their loved ones, all will be reduced to the lowest common denominator and all (except govt officials) will be forced to share what is left of our health care system.

Posted on December 21, 2012 at 9:36amMoney truly is the root of all evil. God is not a liar. I didn’t think the skit was all that funny; just sheds some light into a dark place, and the ways of the world.
I’m glad I don’t have a lot of money, it keeps me humble and makes me appreciate the things God has given me that much more.
1 John 2:15
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
I’ll give you an example: How many men visit this site and are tempted by the devil, when they see the “boost your testerone” ads that Satan puts on here? You are either humanly minded or heavenly minded. I admit I’m guilty, and without the Holy Spirit guiding my life I would be into all of it too. Pray for our nation, its people and our leaders. Love those that hate you and spread the Gospel every chance you get. Just quote scripture. I know I can’t do anything, but I know the One who can and there is power in the Word of God and that is where his spirit resides. Don’t fall for Satan’s cunning devices. He’ll have you carve out a God in your mind that is not the God of the bible, and you’ll believe that looking at porn is okay: because after all your just human right? Satan will have you carve out a god in your mind that tells you its alright to lie on your income taxes. Truth is many of us are guilty of such things, but God has a better way.
