White House Petition Calls for…Deporting Piers Morgan Over Anti-Gun Views

AP
A new online White House petition is calling for CNN’s Piers Morgan to be deported for “attacking the Second Amendment” following the Connecticut elementary school massacre.
“British Citizen and CNN television host Piers Morgan is engaged in a hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution by targeting the Second Amendment,” the petition states. “We demand that Mr. Morgan be deported immediately for his effort to undermine the Bill of Rights and for exploiting his position as a national network television host to stage attacks against the rights of American citizens.”
Morgan has battled pro-gun advocates several times on “Piers Morgan Tonight” in the wake of the Newtown shooting, even calling one gun lobby director a “dangerous man” who brings “shame” on his country.
“How many more kids have to die before you guys say, ‘we want less guns, not more’?'” Morgan asked Gun Owners of America head Larry Pratt earlier this week.
More than 7,000 people had signed the petition as of Saturday afternoon. It would require 25,000 signatures by Jan. 20 to garner an official White House response.
The petition was apparently created by Kurt Nimmo of the website infowars.com.
Morgan acknowledged the petition on Twitter Saturday, tweeting at one point: “6,600 Americans have currently signed the petition to deport me – meaning 311,993,400 clearly want me to stay. Thank you.”
In another tweet he said it was ironic that the petition-signers would have him deported for using the First Amendment to express his views.
“Ironic U.S. gun rights campaign to deport me for ‘attacking 2nd Amendment rights’ – is my opinion not protected under 1st Amendment rights?” Morgan wrote.

Posted on December 22, 2012 at 6:02pmPiers, you would have to be a U.S. citizen to have the 1st amendment right. i understand you are not so you don’t. that being said, then it would be safe to assume that you have no voice on our second amendment or any other rights here in the good old U.S. of A.

Posted on December 22, 2012 at 5:55pmDamned if I do still disdain the British. Third generation Irish and rarely ever mention that WE ESCAPED STARVATION, TYRANNY and HOPELESSNESS for America. And because they have no home left – the fools have let themselves be over run – they’re coming here with the same nonsense. We have our liberties and no BRIT – or Byonce celebrity is going to change that. I’m the Mom of a 5th grader-terrible crime. God bless all those people enduring tonight. Not ever to minimize – but we can not respond with such irrationality. Dreadful situation – no doubt. But no, we’re not going to give up our guns.

No, your opinion is NOT protected by the 1st Amendment, Piers, because you’re not an American. But, guess what? We Americans have BOTH 1st and 2nd Amendment rights, and we don’t appreciate some whiny little British twit questioning them.

Piers, do be so sure about that. Just because we hadn’t signed the petition (some of us don’t play in silly petitions) doesn’t mean that we want you to stay or imply that we feel your show is worth viewing. Your ratings will deport you long before our government does.

If you hate this country so much I suggest you take your opinion and go home. I recently taught my youngest son about opinions. You see, opinions are like a**h***s,everyone has one and quite a few of them stink.

Posted on December 23, 2012 at 8:54pmOnce again Kupo the Constitution and bill of rights do not apply to non citizens. If it did that means that they could vote which would really F up our elections, Oh wait I forgot that was what happened here in this last election. Illegals voted in droves because state issued Photo ID’s were not required and they were promised citizenship.

Posted on December 24, 2012 at 1:11amNope, you’re totally wrong. The Constitution doesn’t grant the right to vote to anybody. Read it a little bit more carefully. It does in certain places say that certain people cannot be denied the right to vote, but it never, not one single time, grants the right to vote to anybody.
You = schooled

The Constitution contains many phrases, clauses, and amendments detailing ways people cannot be denied the right to vote. You cannot deny the right to vote because of race or gender. Citizens of Washington DC can vote for President; 18-year-olds can vote; you can vote even if you fail to pay a poll tax. The Constitution also requires that anyone who can vote for the “most numerous branch” of their state legislature can vote for House members and Senate members.
Note that in all of this, though, the Constitution never explicitly ensures the right to vote, as it does the right to speech, for example. It does require that Representatives be chosen and Senators be elected by “the People,” and who comprises “the People” has been expanded by the aforementioned amendments several times. Aside from these requirements, though, the qualifications for voters are left to the states. And as long as the qualifications do not conflict with anything in the Constitution, that right can be withheld. For example, in Texas, persons declared mentally incompetent and felons currently in prison or on probation are denied the right to vote. It is interesting to note that though the 26th Amendment requires that 18-year-olds must be able to vote, states can allow persons younger than 18 to vote, if they chose to.

Posted on December 22, 2012 at 5:11pmLet’s see now, we currently have a Marxist, Anti-colonialist, black-nationalist, afrocentric, and racist President/ First Lady who years before generated FBI files for their “Un-American” activities, a Vice President suffering from (but clearly enjoying) his dementia, a Congress full of Harry Reid’s and Nancy Pelosi’s, a Justice Department responsible for gun shipments to Mexican cartels and truncheon-carrying Black Panthers obstructing the vote, an EPA abusing the rights of Americans on a daily basis, a Secretary of State PERSONALLY responsible for the murders of four American patriots, and a media that doesn’t give a damn about any of it. Yet, we’re worried about an irrelevant, pipsqueak, liberal limey who no one listens to or cares about.

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
Make your petitions to the LORD and let him here them. Before you do that…
John 9:31
Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
Call on the name of the LORD and ask for mercy, repent of your sins and learn the truth that is in Jesus Christ’s words.
Despise not those that oppress you but pray for them always. I don’t know Mr. Morgan, I do not watch CNN, rarely turn that godless talking box on. I give the glory to God for my ability to abstain from the filth on it.

Here you have all the rights of a guest, and you are not welcome to use the rights of an American Citizen to abuse the privilege of your guest residence. Period…or should I say, “Full Stop.” It is not in the purview of a guest to seek to bring down the pillars of his host’s house, those pillars that have long been rejected in the guest’s own home, and whose absence are the harbinger of the loss of all freedom in your own homeland.

Posted on December 22, 2012 at 5:34pmDo you have a job and file taxes? They already know where we all are. Do you have a cell phone?: if so they can and are tracking many across this country. Do you use a debit card when you purchase food or other Items? Even your bank knows where you go, what day you went, and how much you spent. They know where you bought gas and can easily calculate how much you purchased by the PPG, Look up at every intersection and smile your being recorded when you go through with a date and time stamp so the next camera you pass later they can actually trace your route.
Are you afraid of them? I’m not, because I belong to Jesus. If you know things in this world are not right, then don’t you think it is time for you to get right?.If you are already then why are you so worried? Read the bible and find some peace and rest. I don’t know you but I love you enough to tell you the truth. God bless you.
