World’s Largest Gun Parts Supplier Claims it Sold 3.5 Years Worth of AR-15 Magazines in 3 Days

As the nation continues to discuss debate new gun regulations, it seems both firearms sales and interest in the National Rifle Association (NRA) are soaring. After all, people are likely worried that the government will crack down on certain guns, so they are attempting to get their hands on materials before new restrictions hit the books.
In the wake of the discussion and debate, Brownells, the largest gun parts supplier in the world, is claiming that it has had an “unprecedented” demand for AR-15 ammunition magazines of late. In fact, the demand is allegedly so great that the company allegedly sold 3.5 years worth of magazines in just three days, The Huffington Post reports.
This announcement was made on a gun forum, during which the company’s president, Pete Brownell, simultaneously apologized for a delay in fulfilling orders. Here’s a portion of his statement:
To shed some more light on the magazine situation at present, it really has been unprecedented in the last 5 days. During a roughly the 36 hour period from Sunday afternoon to Monday evening we sold the “average demand” equivalent of about 3 1/2 years worth of PMAGS, and and an even greater amount of our Brownells magazines. We’re working like crazy to get these orders to you as quickly as possible.
We’re working directly with Magpul daily to forecast out the next couple of months deliveries. Magpul is focusing their efforts on the BLACK magazines, so we’re limiting backorders to only Black for now.

A screen shot from Brownells.com
The message concluded with an apology and a promise to work “as hard as possible” to get the magazines out to those who have ordered them. A graphic on the company’s web site also notes that a delay in getting its products out the door.
It reads, “Please Note: Due to extreme volumes, and winter storms, order shipments may be delayed. Thank you for your patience.”
On the company’s Facebook page, too, weather was cited as a reason for the delay.

Posted on December 24, 2012 at 6:07pmIt will not come in the way you believe. America is being set up for the big fall or attack. The elite need to be able to shift blame elsewhere and rally the people around nationalism. Thats if your buying the crap they’d be selling after America is nuked by the Chinese and Russians who have for the past decade or so been very concerned about Americas exploits in their own backyards. We have Russia encircled and China as well.
In 7/2008 we surfaced four trident subs simultaneously on our 4th of July. 1 in Guam, 1 in Diego Garcia, 1 in Japan and 1 in Hawaii. Each carries 154 nuke capable Tomahawk cruise missiles. Later in fall/2009 China sub launched an old school missile off Southern Cali as a show of force but this was talked down. The US high command knows what it meant.
We are begging them to hit us as we are their protagonist and a threat to all they seek. This century will be a US led one or a China and Russian led one. Neither the Russkies or the Chicoms are NWO players and they know this. This is why it is believed that they will see this as a do or die moment. Once they attack the US and it will be a limited attack to cut off our military bases mainly and hobble our ports like Long Beach, then they can watch from abroad how we go after one another. The US government will step in to rally us to war with our trusted NATO counterparts and it will be game on. Civil War? Maybe but if your playing that game then you will be an enemy of the State.

Posted on December 24, 2012 at 3:14pmhim. Let’s face it, Mitt Romney was a good guy, but he had way too much extra baggage from his past.
This is the country that put Japanese citizens in concentration camps in WW2. Italians and Germans were also targeted in WW1. What about Waco: The government used an Army tank against civilians and burned a bunch of children alive by filling the building with CS gas. CS gas is highly flammable and is not supposed to be used indoors. If you have been through a CS gas chamber in training, you already know how nasty that stuff is, regardless of its flammability. I could not believe my government did that, but they did.
This is the message we need to promote, otherwise we can kiss our guns goodbye. When the ban is done and more shootings take place (and they will if that is the only fix) the liberals will then call for even stricter bans until they are all gone, you can bet on it.

Posted on December 24, 2012 at 4:02pmThe second amendment was not written so we could go shoot ducks and deer, it was so we could keep a well trained militia and would collectively as armed citizens have the capabilities to fight against invasion or oppression, which requires we have weapons sufficient to accomplish that. This is made abundantly clear by our founding fathers, FINALLY someone who gets exactly the right comebacks, this is what I keep arguing with my friends and family, NO I DO NO need 30 round mags to hunt- you are dam right, the 2A isn’t about my hunting preferences..Make no mistake, it is meant for warfare, and as Armed citizens we are first and true Homeland Security- This is the SOLE purpose of the 2A it is written so clearly-to include firearms-it was so important they added “shall not be infringed” at the end, there is NO other way to interpret this!

DICK ACT of 1902… CAN’T BE REPEALED (GUN CONTROL FORBIDDEN) – Protection Against Tyrannical Government
This criminal Cabal is counting on the fact that the American Citizens don’t know this, their rights and the constituion. Don’t prove them right.
The Dick Act of 1902 also known as the Efficiency of Militia Bill H.R. 11654, of June 28, 1902 invalidates all so-called gun-control laws. It also divides the militia into three distinct and separate entities. ** SPREAD THIS TO EVERYONE **
The three classes H.R. 11654 provides for are the organized militia, henceforth known as the National Guard of the State, Territory and District of Columbia, the unorganized militia and the regular army.
The militia encompasses every able-bodied male between the ages of 18 and 45. All members of the unorganized militia have the absolute personal right and 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms of any type, and as many as they can afford to buy.
The Dick Act of 1902 cannot be repealed; to do so would violate bills of attainder and ex post facto laws which would be yet another gross violation of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
The President of the United States has zero authority without violating the Constitution to call the National Guard to serve outside of their State borders.

When the **** starts in the Middle East, and it’s going to, what do you think will happen to the price of oil? We, the USA, could be totally independent with oil and natural gas, but Obama put off shore drilling, Keystone pipe line, and fracking for natural gas, on hold (that was a good part of Romney’s jobs). I for one will not turn in anything but will oppose any legislation geared toward that venue. With so many firearms in the hands of the US citizens it’s very hard to PUT THAT GENIE BACK INTO THE BOTTLE NOW. The purpose of having semi-auto, large capacity magazines and full automatic is to, if needed, fight a tyrannical government not just for hunting. It now looks as if the government is starting down that road. I know a lot of young military men in different divisions and most will walk away and take the military equipment with them to oppose a tyrannical government and uphold the oath they took.

Posted on December 24, 2012 at 2:58pmI’m not sure of the logic behind the decision to not defend the Second Amendment correctly by meeting any stupid questions the media throws our way with the simple truth.
When any of us (including Wayne LaPierre) is asked, “Why do you need 30 round clips (we understand they mean magazines and they are stupid) for hunting?” Our answer should be, “We need them because that’s what the government has and the SA was never about hunting.”
I also hear crap coming from idiot politicians, like: “The SA says you can own a gun, but you can’t own a cannon or a hand grenade!” Our answer should be: “Well dumb ass, the SA was never about cannons or hand grenades, it was specifically written for firearms only, and it guarantees that the citizen can own and carry whatever infantry firearm the federal Army infantryman carries!”
In addition we could add: “We have already given up our easy access to fully automatic weapons in that we are allowed to own them with increased paperwork, background checks and other provisions to insure that only good guys get them.”
If we start explaining to the populace, that these weapons are needed to protect us from gangs, organized crime and even (God forbid) our own government, we will eventually sway public sentiment to our side. Americans are generally pro second Amendment and I would bet that if 20% of the people that voted for Obama knew he was planning to do an “assault weapons” ban, they would not have voted for h

Our money spent at home and in our schools makes more sense than giving it to FOREIGN AID and people who hate us. On gun control, the AR15 is a semi-automatic rifle, not an automatic. In other words, you have to pull the trigger every time. It’s not the magazine capacity its the trigger finger and brain behind the gun that is causing the massacres. Also, I do not believe the Obamas are worth 1.4B per year on vacations and maintenance. Posted on December 24, 2012 at 11:21amOk boys & girls its time for a little class work so all of you can sound like you know what you are taking about.
It’s not a “gun”. Guns are really, really big bore devices mounted on ships, are towed or mounted on sell-propelled wheeled or tracked vehicles. Think cannons, howitzers etc. They are even called rifles on some of the old cruisers and battleships. Virtually everything else is a pistol, revolver, rifle or a shotgun (yes I know that confusing to some). Anyone who has been to real basic combat training knowns what happens when you say “Gun” to a DI. It does not go well for you.
Lastly and this is critical to sounding savvy. This is not hard, ok? A magazine is not a clip and a clip is not a magazine. A replaceable magazine can be fed with individual cartridges (not bullets, thats a component of a cartridge) or the cartridges can be loaded onto stripper clips (stay with me now) and a stripper clip adapter affixed to the magazine and the stripper clip is then pushed down to load the magazine. Thats it! Thats all you need to know to sound conversant. By using these terms and nomenclature you will awe many and be looked upon with knowing nods. It’s up to you now.

Calling a rifle or a pistol a gun could lead to some very interesting consequences for the fool involved. Calling an article by its proper name isn’t a sin it’s a sign of knowledge and intelligence.
The morons who continue to call cartridges “bullets” likely call dinner a plate or soup a bowl which is about the same thing. WAY too much stupidity even from people who should KNOW better. The Dept of the Interior will be used to restrict access to public lands for target shooting and target ranges will be regulated out of existence. The antis have had years to rewrite their weapons ban legislation. It is a carefully crafted precise manifesto at this point. Nowhere near like the first knee jerk ban’s quickly written jumble of restrictions and bans. We are seeing only the tip of the iceberg as far as legislation is concerned. After all this is thrown against the wall there will be new proposals for ammo taxes, forced registration of individual firearms, internet purchase restrictions, caliber restrictions and proposals for outright confiscation of a law abiding citizen’s firearms. That would eventually mean authorities coming to your home and taking your firearms. Be prepared for all of this and more. These idiots, most of whom have neither owned or have ever used a firearm in their sheltered lives, will be making the rules for those of us that believe the second amendment is as important as all the rest. But the weak minded began to rule them and they lost over these things and were put in bondage for over a thousand years not counting the time spent in Egypt. Now they are secure with the knowledge they are well armed and are a just nation with their hard won power and right to defense. There is nothing un-biblical about this! Evil can only proceed if good men do nothing. We know this is true! So this is why God also gave us the knowledge of how to defend ourselves but restrain ourselves from committing evil as well. Once we forget this then we become un-Christian as we then begin to live by the sword instead of it being a shield.

Posted on December 25, 2012 at 9:14pmI suspect if our military was ordered to attack civilians in the US, most would decline and slip away, taking their equipment with them. I would consider any UN soldier on sovereign US soil as an enemy of the US and act accordingly, regardless of who ordered them to be here. Blue helmets would make nice targets. Death From Afar.

Posted on December 24, 2012 at 8:08amJust more proof that the common sense people know what’s just around the corner. They are hellbent to push these new restrictions and bans as fast as possible..How far are they going to go is the question? Would Diane Frankenstein come into your home and confiscate all of your firearms?? If so, that’s where it could get real ugly…..

Posted on December 25, 2012 at 9:33pmProblem I see is that we freedom minded people would never know about it until the armored vehicles encircled our communities and the storm troopers started going door to door. Our news media [other than Fox and The Blaze] are propaganda organs that will report only that which the administration either tells or allows them to propagate. Together, we have power far beyond what they can muster, as they could never know when/if they were going to be fired on, ala Vietnam. Alone, resistance is futile. It would likely be reported, if at all, as some lunatic with an assault rifle fired upon troops sent to an area to “keep the peace”. If you survived, you would get to live in a mental intuition the rest of your life. Check out the article about the man who walked into a school carrying a 2X4 board marked “high powered rifle”. He was detained then arrested by the school resource officer and is now undergoing “a mental evaluation”. I understand the point he was making was to show how lax security at the school [also named Sandy Hook Elementary, in a different area] was, but he should have been arrested for trespassing, not sent for a mental eval.

Posted on December 24, 2012 at 7:51amThis is the effect of liberals pushing their anti-gun agenda. NRA membership is soaring, AR-15s are flying off the shelves and ammo is being sold in record numbers. People are seeing this administrations ultimate goal of a total gun ban and are preparing for it.
If you legally own a firearm and are not a member of the NRA, join now. If it wasn’t for them no citizens would be allowed to own any firearm. It is only $25 a year and you get a choice of one of three great monthly magazines.

Posted on December 24, 2012 at 7:49amPeople know that when the USA goes completely broke and no more government handouts are available (Welfare, Food Stamps, Medicare, Medicaid, Rent Subsidies, WIC, etc, etc, etc.) and there is no more food available in the grocery stores across America that society will break down and riots and massive civil disorder will break out.
One must be able to protect themselves and their loved ones from gangs of lawless thugs bent on killing, raping and destroying everyone and every thing in their paths. There will be no police, sheriff’s deputies or other law enfoecement available to call on. They will be busy protecting their own families and possessions.
To HELL with Washington. It is up to you to do whatever you deem is necessary to protect yourself and your family from the coming total chaos.

Posted on December 24, 2012 at 7:43amThis article contains one glaring error that could have easily been checked and wasn’t. Brownells does not sell assembled guns; they sell gunsmithing supplies, gun parts, reloading supplies, etc.. A qualified person can assemble a functioning firearm from components purchased at Brownells but there are not large number of these guns built. Glenn says the Blaze goes to great lengths to insure that only the facts are published, I’m disappointed.

Posted on December 24, 2012 at 8:46pmYou and I must have either read a different article, or the author has made some major revisions, because the current article is about Brownell’s magazine sales. The lead paragraph is simply referring to gun sales and gun parts sales Nationwide since the progressive-statist’s tipped their hat to an impending gun ban attempt. I don’t see any “lack of truth” or “yellow journalism” in this article. Though last week on the Blog, one of their writers referred the battle as “The NRA vs. the gun safety advocates” (like Handgun Control Inc ever taught a class on gun safety!)

Posted on December 24, 2012 at 9:01pmEDIT> Oh, I see… they failed to include the word “parts” in the headline, inferring that Brownell’s is the largest Gun Seller. Okay, I get it. It looks more like a technical oversight than an intentional deception, but I get it.

Posted on December 24, 2012 at 7:42amThree years of stock in three days…For a retailer, that is both a wet dream and worst nightmare all in one, repeated across three days. Ouch. Feel sorry for their order fulfillment crews.
On the other hand, it just goes to show the beating the gun manufacturer stocks took is completely artificial.

Posted on December 24, 2012 at 11:40amPerhaps not. With the institutional investors being “shamed” by the libs those stocks may see a real hit until they can recover in time. It may take months, it may take years. I believe they will recover in due time. Mossberg is family owned and made in the USA!!

Don’t worry, the lefties have their own secret stash of arms in order to protect themselves. They just don’t want the plebian masses to be able to do the same, hence, gun control legislation.
You can damn well bet that EVERY high ranking official in every totalarian government from Russia, Hitler’s Germany to Cuba and North Korea is well supplied with arms. It’s just the people who are restricted.
