Don’t Have a Yule Log This Christmas? Fire Up Your Laptop With This Digital One
If you don’t have a fireplace, don’t want to deal with the mess or live in a climate where adding more heat isn’t welcome, but you still want to take part in the Christmas tradition of burning a Yule log, it’s as easy as flipping open your laptop.
Nigel Upchurch has created a digitized fire for you and posted it online.
The crackling noise is more modern and not exactly realistic, but it fits with the cube-shaped logs and flames.

“[P]ut it on your widescreen while eating turkey,” Upchurch suggests of the video he calls “Christmas Warmer.”
