These People Are Really Excited About Getting AR-15s for Christmas

There were indications that sales of guns and gun components were up headed into the Christmas holiday. Many took to social media to show off the presents they received including owners of new guns who posted tweets and images of themselves holding their firearms, many of which were AR-15s.

Most of these were shared on Twitter:

Some Twitter are lamenting the amount of guns that appear to have been received and the glee with which the owners talk about their new spoils. Here are a couple of those tweets:

A tweet from the left-wing writer Sunny Hundal about a 10-year-old receiving an AR-15 has been retweeted more than 100 times. The article by Hundal on Liberal Conspiracy has been tweeted many times as well with users adding words like “morons” and “idiots” to their tweets.

I read on Facebook a soldier of first cav said something to the effect of, ” good luck disarming the 1st cav”. And military’s tortes on base have sold out of AR’s and many other guns and ammo. I’m sure there arevavfew who love barrry but most do not which is why their votes did not count.

Carnac, don’t worry. When and if the time comes, the military will support We the People and will support the Constitution!

But you’re confused. The military will support The Constitution, which is defined and declared by rulings of the Supreme Court. That’s the way our Constitutional government operates. And, sadly for you, your opinions are not those of We the People.

FOX told you that your opinions were representative of We the People, the population of the United States of America. They, and Rush and Hannity told you that most Americans believe as you do. And they told you, to make you feel good, and to get ratings, that We the People would elect Romney to the Presidency by a landslide.

You listen to people who tell you that your ideas are those of We the People. But think!: those , people make their money, they profit from telling you that, so there’s no surprise reality confuses you when it slaps you in the face.

Sorry to break it to you, but your opinions are not those of most Americans. You are in the minority and likely, based on your participation in this website, the very fringe.

Don’t worry, the military will defend the Constitution and We the People. I’m sorry to have to be the one to bring you that bad news.

Even if they did it wouldn’t matter. The US military is set up in a way now that they could destroy every American in the matter of an hour using a couple guys behind computers operating drones and typing in launch codes. Guns are useless against what we have allowed our military has become over the past several decades. The second amendment no longer applies as a safety net against the Government.

@SendTheMeteors I don’t listen to talk radio, maybe on some rare occasions, but never regularly. I knew I was a Conservative after reading about America’s real history and the original intent of our founding fathers. My family and relatives are Democrat. However, last year my father, sisters and a few cousins registered Republican. They, like me, became solid Conservatives because we wanted to separate ourselves from idiots like you on the left who don’t know their face from their rear end. Most of what you liberals spout is just crap. And we’ve had enough of your Marxist nonsense. The world is replete with socialist ideology and we don’t want America to become just like the world. Your kind will ultimately self destruct, which is the intent of your hidden overlords. They can’t bring about their utopian world peace without first creating some form of world wide chaos. And you lefties are the perfect idiots to accomplish just that. When your time comes, and it will, you will become like dross, and fade away like the chaff in the wind. And a like a flower in the field, you will wither away, and never rise again.

You and the other useful idiots that troll this site believe that AR 15 owners sit at home with mounds of ammo in their basements preparing for the Feds to come and grab their guns. Although there are those in the govt. who would love to enact that scenario, you miss the main point: AR 15′s are FUN to shoot (at inanimate targets), modify, and even pick off pesky varmints one round at a time(not really a high-power hunting rifle which ‘sprays’ bullets as your buddies in the media like to throw out there). I’m sure most of our troops will be predesposed (God forbid they aren’t intentionally left to the wolves overseas). Just one big scale up overseas would move the majority off American soil (hint: Syria). Then just a few hundred blue helmets in each major pop center and Bamb!………..the Republic falls!.

Send the Meteros after reading about the L.A. riots, how they were orchestrated by Thigpen (less than 12 months after he arrived at LA ) & seeing how the Korean Americans were able tom defend themselves with AR15s (or equivalent), it would not have been possible with revolvers or a few shotguns.

It would have looked more like scenes from “The Walking Dead”, which alternately sends shivers up your spine as zombies get owned & exhilaration as people are torn apart.

Well, I am a gun owner but I see a major problem when parents are buying their “kids” guns like an AR-15 for Christmas or at any other time for that matter. My parents bought me a BB gun and I could even understand buying a teenager maybe a .22 rifle or shotgun for hunting or responsible target practice, but an “assault” rifle is another story. I used to be against any type of gun laws and I am actually a Concealed Weapon permit holder as well, but Sandy Hook has really caused me to re-evaluate my views as to what should “responsible gun laws” be. A dozen long guns, thousands of rounds of ammo, 100 round drum magazines – who really needs all that ordinance? I believe the time has came for at least a debate on the issue. Do I think that new laws will totally prevent other mass killings? Not really. But maybe it will at least begin a shift in attitudes that might help in the long run.

Wow, you sure are one dumb-you-know-what. I will grant that this country is divided in half at the present time. On the left you have people like you that support a growing Marxist controlled government. On the right you have Constitution loving supporters with strong belief in traditional America. Besides the obvious political differences, the biggest difference between the two groups is that those of us on the right are well armed. So no matter what ideas or argument you come up with, in the end ‘we on the right… WIN’.

@sendtheidiot… If the military supports the Constitution, then they would be on the side of gun owners, seeing as how the Constitution says The Peoples’ right to bear arms shall not be infringed. Our RKBA is already infringed, but we have compromised and allowed it to be infringed in the name of trying to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. That has obviously failed and we will no longer allow our rights to be infringed more. We are not keeping them out of the hands of criminals, only people who obey laws in the first place.

They won’t come for guns very soon. Once they get registration in, they will start with taxes, fines, licenses, etc to discourage and widdle down the gun owner group as a whole. They know it will be a fight, they want to get our numbers down as much as possible first.

If 80,000,000 own guns, and lets say only 5% of ALL gun owners, believe in individual liberty and our Constitution enough to NOT COMPLY with unconstitutional requests of the government, that’s 4 MILLION people the gov’t would have to personally come and enforce it’s unconstitutional will upon. This would only be possible with a scorched earth approach, which would sacrifice millions upon millions of BIG GOV’Ts supporters who just happen to live in an area with high gun ownership. So send the meteors might end up getting taken out by the gov’t she loves, who is trying to kill the constitution supporting Americans she hates. But wait, this gov’t wouldn’t do that..

“But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.”

In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil. They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul. Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God… When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me. In God will I praise his word: in the Lord will I praise his word. In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me. Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee. For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?”

“I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me. He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up.”

While I agree it is DUMB to advertise your gun, it is AT LEAST EQUALLY AS DUMB TO TRY TO ROB A HOUSE THAT IS ARMED.

Sorry, but I would welcome someone braking through my window. And the foxes in the woods behind my home would get a nice meal in the deal.

Does anyone else realize how easy it is going to be to take out the bad guys once civil society collapses? They break in, you shoot and kill them, then drag their bodies into the woods. Nobody will come looking for the bad guys, as nobody knows which homes they planned to rob, and nobody will call the cops – I mean really can you imagine? “911 operator, what is your emergency?” “My boyfriend went out to rob this house and he hasn’t come back yet… can you check on him?”

Of course the really funny thing is that the lib-tards expect those of us who are prepared will be willing to give them free stuff after their policies of taking from the producers to give to the lazy and the criminals destroy the economy. WE, who are prepared, will be called “HOARDERS.” Good luck taking it from us. We are prepared. We have food. We have water. We have guns. We have ammo. We know what to do with all of it.

I want to encourage everyone to be reasonable on the topic of gun control and stop following party lines or extremes and really consider the issue. I understand, it’s the person behind the weapon, not the weapon it’s self. That’s the truth of the matter. But the truth DOESN’T stop there. We have the right to be able to, and the responsibility, to combat our own government should it become tyrannical. But are we at the point in which we could win against such an inside government? Or are we now out matched? Does this call for our citizens to be even more heavily armed with even more high powered military grade weapons? Consider this, and I mean really consider. Should ANY civilians be armed with nuclear weapons? The question is absurd but it brings out a point. At WHAT point is it too much? I mean, it’s the person behind the nuke, not the nuke it’s self, right? There is a line that can and or will be crossed, but what is it? Is it automatic guns, semi? Or neither? Draw the line, and why? The truth is, there is a line, the question is, have we crossed it? Imagine guns that, in the future, have bullets that follow body heat and pierce through walls. Imagine laser guns that shoot through the entire planet. You could ruin someone’s day in Australia or China, depending how you aim, and yet it would be our right to bear such a weapon if we are totally out matched and gunned by our own military, right? Sure, it’s the person behind the weapon, but isn’t it the weapon too?

Getting to the crux of your post, you would rather the talentless, incompetent, wasteful, corrupt, hypocritical, condescending, arrogant and generally stupid idiots in DC to possess these instruments alone. I vividly remember tanks winding up in Waco. The very thing you fear of nuclear weapons getting in the wrong hands has happened in foreign governments and possibly terrorist organizations and can be used against you. I’m not condoning private citizens owning these weapons, but if a rogue government or person unleashes one on you, good luck fighting them with a slingshot.

@Caveman(aka)encinoman The only purpose for my Stoeger over/under 12 gauge is to hunt doves or turkies for dinner. The only purpose for my Marlin .22 bolt action is to get rid of varmint. The only purpose for my .40 Smith & Wesson is to defend my life and protect my property. None of my guns are made for the purpose of murdering. You freaking idiot. If guns are so evil, then please, pretty please, demand that all state capitols and Government security guards disarm now! We don’t want anyone near those evil things! You idiot.

Guns flying off the shelves in my neck of the woods. Tried to buy a Ruger 10/22 for the wife. None available. Even used ones were sold out.
      Holy Gun Sales, Batman!

Let the idiots, libs, and progressives (all one in the same in my opinion – communists all) debate the gun issue until hell freezes over.

I really want to see them attempt to take the guns from honest, patriotic, law-abiding Americans. That will be funnier than, well, any comedy routine I have ever seen.

Blue helmets show up…Blue helmets see all the American gun owners standing in a line in their respective towns and cities…Blue helmets run back to wherever they came from…Blue helmets never come back.

Obama looks really stupid standing all alone with a 100+ million gunowners surrounding him and showing him the door.

ENCINOM, When you get into an automobile, is it an act of paranoia to put on your seat belt? No, its simply good sense to do so. To protect ones self from the crazies out there that commit these crimes “does” make one paranoid? You are not using common sense, more like being led about with the ring in your nose by government types who falsely tell you that they and they alone can protect you. You all too often see in the news and its just what you refer to now, the cops investigate the results of the crime, and very, very rarely stop it.

Encinom is a troll who cares? the left must resort to name calling because they cannot beat Conservatives/Libertarians in the arena of ideas. At the Mother Jones website according to their posters everyone who owns a gun is a gun nut.. That means approximately 60 million Americans are gun nuts… Thats the the majority of those that voted in the last election…Yet this is clearly the lefts talking points and strategy. Demean and chastise those who own guns and hope that they will feel the pressure and will relinquish their rights to bear arms. Fortunately I don’t believe it will work. No one I know would give up their guns in order to feel better about themselves..This only works on the feeble minded.

Proably a bunch of Obama Media Matters trolls ! Actually, with the radical Democrats in control of the White House, they have inspired many Amricans to fear for their personal freedoms and rights. Since the Zimmerman media trial circus, we have known that gun control is the radicals’ goal. Their bullying tactics and their media control have made any thoughtful American aware that this is a ” new” and different administration which does not value individual rights. Especially the right to own guns. Big Brother says “no guns. “.

Because in some parts of the US we’re responsible enough to teach our kids how to actually USE and RESPECT the weapon. And because most of us are civilized, we also teach our children that a gun is not to be used to murder someone, but to protect one’s self. Outside of the large cities many children grow up hunting with their families or visiting shooting ranges.

When you put a weapon in the hands of an incompetent or an unstable person, you can expect abuses. The same is true of putting a car in the hands of a drunk.

My grandparents have a ranch. I spent a lot of my weekends there. That is where I learned to use rifles to get rid of squirrels, crows and other varmints that destroy crops. I was 8 when I got my first Daisy pellet gun. Moved up to a .22, then a .410 shotgun, 20 gauge, 30-06, 12 gauge, you name it. No I carry a .40 on me most of the time. Wouldn’t think about using it in an argument or something trivial because I learned the things I shoot won’t live. I know I would do what was needed if I saw some leftist nutjob trying to gun down a bunch of people though. And yes, I think most of the massacres were don’t by a left leaning or leftist raised person. All they have been taught is guns are bad. So when they decide they are going to be bad, they use a gun.

Learn and practice the FOUR RULES OF GUN SAFETY

    Rule # 1
Treat all guns as if they are loaded.

    Rule # 2
Never let the muzzle of a gun point at anything you do not want to destroy or kill.

    Rule # 3
Keep your finger straight and off the trigger.

    Rule # 4
Be absolutely sure of your target, and what is behind it.

I went to cabelas Friday before Christmas. Already have an AR but was getting a 22 conversion kit for cheaper way to practice and maintain my shooting skills as well as a 22 pistol for the same purpose. Cabelas sold out of AR’s the previous Monday. There were so many people there of all races I might add buying guns that I had to wait in line 2.5 hours. I add the of all races because I am sick of the media saying it is just white people buying guns and then trying to say it is because we are racists. My Dad gave me my first gun a .410 shotgun when I was 12. Good for these parents that know they need to teach their kids at a young age the benefits of self defense and the knowledge of how to safely use a firearm. I believe the regime was sent a message this Holiday season that says leave us and our right to own firearms alone.
