Sherriff Joe Announces Plan to Mobilize Armed Posse to Guard Schools

Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio has announced plans to deploy an armed volunteer posse to protect Phoenix-area students in the wake of the mass shooting at a Connecticut elementary school.

“I have the authority to mobilize private citizens and fight crime in this county,” said Arpaio, according to KTVK-TV.

He says he doesn’t plan to put posse members inside schools but will have them posted around the perimeters.

“I don’t know if they agree [to my plan] or not. I’ll coordinate with them,” the Maricopa County sheriff said, referring to the various school districts. “We’re not talking about placing the posse in the schools right now but in the outlying — the perimeters of the school — to detect any criminal activity.”

The sheriff also explained that the thinks the idea of armed professionals is better than arming teachers and school staff.

“I support arming cops in the schools,” Arpaio said. “If you have a cop that’s armed you don’t need a teacher that’s armed.”

He continued, explaining that now is the time for action.

“[Politicians] are going to be talking about the guns now for years. But I have certain resources at my disposal and I’m not going to talk about it. I’m going to do it,” Arpaio said.

The Arizona sheriff is known as one of the nation’s most high-profile supporters of strict U.S.-Mexico border policy. His plan announced Thursday comes after two other Arizona officials released ideas for boosting school security.

Attorney General Tom Horne proposed firearms training for one person in each school. And Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu proposed training multiple educators per school to carry guns.

  By the way – the news is not reporting it, but Obama gave out 10 million Obama phones. Each one is costing US tax payers $200 per month per phone times 10 Million. Most people pay $75 to $100 per month for Internet Phone Usage – our Govt cant get it any lower than $200 per phone.
  
  Is using Tax payer money for Political proposes like Obama Phones legal. We might find out one day if the Blaze ever starts investigating real news.

  one more thing, first of all I’ll give Joe A the big thumbs up on his operation here, Secondly back to the Obama phones. The govt pays $200 smackers per phone line, thats a lot of cash. Why wouldn’t it surprise me if congress and all Odumbass’ staff hold stock in these cell phone companies that are supplying the useful idiots with service for free.   If the Obama phones roasted your Chestnuts, then get ready here’s another one. Take one Welfare Recipient. Let say they receives $1000 a month, $12,000 per year. It cost US Tax payers $80,000 per year to pay just one Welfare Recipient.
  
  I challenge any of you to run a Business this way and see how long you last. What surprises me is that Reagan was the last Conservative Candidate to explain this waste to Americans. Reagan also got 35% of the Welfare Recipient’s votes because he told them that he would reform the size of Govt and not touch what recipients make. In Fact after he cut the size of Govt that administer Welfare – he gave the recipients a raise. That is not being reported.
  
  If you knew how to point out waste to a Liberal, you could have them voting for the Conservative just like Reagan did in his campaign Speeches.
  
  Not one single Conservative Talk Show host will report this. Maybe because they cant add or subtract or they simple lake follow through.
  
  In our last election, I heard Welfare Reform over a million times it seems. Obama said that Republicans were going to push Granny off the clift. Maybe Shawn, Glenn, Rush, O’Reilly, Romney and Ryan would have push granny off the cliff, but any person with any kind of business mind is going to cut from the biggest part of the pie and not from the small amount the recipients get.

  BD – You truly have no idea how badly I want to say, that would never happen, obama running for a third term, you really do not know how badly I wish I could say that and it be true. What I can not in any way predict though is how half this country would respond to that. What I can say, I fail to see any version of that sort of thing play out and there NOT be some sort of response to it.   Ads are not usually chosen down days but are generated by the User – If you recently did a search for government phones – then these ads will target you around the internet regardless of what site you are on. Try some experiments such as search for items like “new cars” or some other products and more than likely they will show you those ads for weeks ! It’s disgusting !

  Sure, he is a decent sheriff that understands his power as an elected official in his county; BUT!!! he is an extreme social conservative with one of the worst records on enforcing illegitimate and unconstitutional laws! His department issues search warrants with swat teams and his officers will shoot anyone who presents any kind of real political dissent against his fanatical form of “justice”. I wouldn’t feel any better with Joe as President than I do Obama.
  
  BTW, in case you haven’t seen it, just go over to youtube and look up the murder of Sergeant Jose Guerena. There was a search warrant issued for his home because he was in his brother’s vehicle when his brother got pulled over for speeding. The object which warranted such an invasion of privacy? A roll of saran wrap! He was subsequently shot at more than 70 times and hit over 50 times while trying to defend his wife and child from an unknown intruder (police did not announce themselves and really, even if they did, anyone can yell COPS! COPS! COPS!, which is not proper identification in any sense). Luckily for the “swat team” involved, this Marine realized who was knocking down his door before he opened fire and he placed his weapon on safe. I hope that every one of those bastard cops dies in the most painful way imaginable. They deserve it.

  If Congress ban guns, then no one should have guns so they wont need protection. Same goes with Obama he won’t need his security detail because gun violence won’t be around and how else can someone kill. I am against taking guns away, there are many ways to kill without guns, how many people are killed by drunk drivers daily, how many people are poisoned, the list goes on and on. If someone wants to kill they will find away. They could use bombs and then many more than 26 will be killed, look at the Oklahoma City bombing. McVeigh wanted to kill and he found away and it wasnt with guns. It sees like it is always white guys that do these mass killings, every time I hear of a mass killing I automatically think it is a white guy. Does that mean I profile white guys as mass killers.

  Tim Mcveigh did not commit the act which nearly took many of my friends parents’ lives on his own! There are eyewitness accounts from the days directly proceeding in which multiple people noting seeing him INSIDE the Murrah building WITH FEDERAL OFFICIALS!!! There are also first hand news accounts and security footage that show at least one additional man was in the Ryder truck when it was parked in front of the building. That is, there were at least 3 men, not 2 in the truck. The attack on the Murrah building was staged and was designed to make us more susceptible to losing our essential Liberty for a supposed gain in security. But hey, what do I know? I’m only a Marine Corps veteran who felt the blast while sitting at my 4th grade homeroom.

  Look for the video of his lecture in LA. It was filmed in 1983! He explained how the Soviets used psycological techniques to dumb-down, or train Americans for the takedown from within.
  There is more than one video, but the 1:03 min one is comprehensive. I doubt you will not want to watch the whole thing.
  Yuri was an ex-KGB agent/propagandist who defected to Canada. Notice how, with the exception of the time he refers to short, old, bald men (he was all that) the audience laughed at other things he said. Yuri was not trying to be funny at those “other” times, and you’ll notice he does not smile when the audience was laughing.

Sherriff Joe for President. How about we get parents involved? If you are a parent, stop by your local school and serve in monitoring your schools. Take responsibility rather than wait for your government to do something. Of course, if your school is “gun free” you may have to get that changed.

  One little problem, the Fed isn’t the director. It is actually following directions from its owners.
  Look to the shadow government that’s been in place in this country since 1828. Trust me, the grey men are the problem (no not aliens, the term “grey men” is what we call them) and they are very close to their victory, NWO and one world government. I have a Can of Wasp Spray in every room in my house. I sometimes hide them, but nobody ever notices. If anyone were to ever enter my home uninvited and I am not next to my weapon, I can always squirt them in the face with the Wasp Spray. The sprays travels 25 feet and is accurate.

The pain is quick and the bad guy will be fully blind in under 10 seconds. Plus there is no horrible mase smell to deal with. The victim would have to go to the hospital for a drug to bring back his site. So be sure to get a few kicks in, while waiting for the police to arrive to take the blind intruder to the hospital and then jail..

Just imagine if some of those teachers would have had a $3 can of wasp spray in their desk drawer. I have a can in my desk draw, how come you don’t. Pass it on.

  I think this is a great idea. Having trained personnel outside the school are there to respond in seconds when the police are minutes away. Sheriff Joe, is one of the few in government who is interested in results, and not some knee jerk bloviating like the dimocrats in Washington.
