Dem. Rep. Accuses GOP of ‘Literally’ Trying to ‘Take Food Out of The Mouths of Hungry Babies’

It looks like Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) has been taking lessons from Vice President Joe Biden. Either that or she has become extraordinarily comfortable with hyperbole.

“The Republicans, the disdain that I have seen for poor people, for people who are struggling, like senior citizens on Medicare and Social Security, for low income people and the Women Infant Children (WIC) program,” Rep. Schakowsky said during a Friday broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Ed Show.”

“We saw the Republicans, last week, vote [for] spending cuts that would literally take food out of the mouths of hungry babies,” she added, signaling that she has either a remarkably poor understanding of the word “literally” or that she’s interested in a permanent spot on MSNBC:

  There are several facets of our culture and world affairs that have reached the proverbial “tipping point”. Our monetary situation is waaay over-balanced and entitlement spending is tipping as well as public opinion on the “cost of freedom”. A billion Muslims could be killed in the next year or so….The U.S. government can’t sustain its own arrogance in the face of national bankruptcy. tipping…tipping over. They show no responsibility, give no answeres except ‘we need more so you can have more’, blame the other guy (party), and ‘we’ll be just fine without offering and solution except tax and spend. They do not balance their (our) budget, they can’t – it would demonize them, it would show a pure unadulterated proof that they are wrong and they can’t have that. So, they continue to lie, blame, mislead, deceive and prey on the people that they put on assistance because nobody on assistance wants to loose or give up what little they have. Its actually a perfect progressive plan that leads to loss of power and money from the people to a socialistic society where big brother knows best with your money. Now for the WIC program, HOW MANY KIDS DO I HAVE? You have ABLE-BODY people STEALING from what entitlements where set up for INCAPABLE mentally/physically to help themselves!   Poverty is a growth industry. Poor people get a small portion of the federal outlay to poverty programs. Most of the money is used to nourish government bureaucrats. Government programs are known for inefficiency, bureaucratic red tape, waste, fraud and abuse.
  
  The dependent class is a source of political power for the Democrat machine. That’s why the Democrat administration make for poor people. The poverty rate has increased every year for the past half decade. It’s only going to get worse. There were 46 million people in America living in poverty in 2011.
  
  People who used to have a good job are sliding into poverty. The goal of Obama socialism is to make everyone equally poor.

  One of the lies that Schakowsky was able to spew without any remorse was mentioning of WIC. WIC (women/infants/children) was created by the fact that “welfare queens” did not use food stamps to feed their kids. Sooooooo….
  WIC was created. It was limited to food items specifically “for” young children. If a “queen” tried to pay for a candy bar with her WIC card, it would be turned down. She would simply move the candy to the pile of food which the “food stamp” card WOULD pay for. This brings me to the topic of food stamp fraud. You want proof?
  
  My wife was a cashier for 9 years, and could tell you stories which would make you want to go outside and eat the tires off your car. Well…. maybe only if you were as hungry as Schakowski portrays those “babes” as being.
  OK, I’ll give you one example: This is true…..a guy (you figure the color) bought over $100 dollars worth of PRIME meats (filets, etc) with food stamps. My wife cashed him out just before her shift was up. As she drove down the street to come home, she saw the guy had a stand along the street. He was selling the meat YOU paid for. Wifey called the store, which in turn called the police, who in turn arrested the guy. He was stopped from receiving food stamps after that. Now..this was in the early-mid 90′s. I
  So…. there are two examples (WIC/food stamps) where it was not the Repubs, but the very people receiving the assistance, who denied their kids food to eat.

Hungry babies? Impossible. Michelle Obama says all children are fat. Bloomberg has banned giving food to charity because homeless babies are so fat. L.A. hs banned fast food restaurants because black inner city babies are so fat.

  I’ll have to be honest, you can tell the working from the non- working in my town. The workers are rail thin, the food stampers are as fat as hogs. My diet only consists of what I can buy with what I earn, and more and more of what I earn is being taken away from me to feed the fatties.

  No MYRW06, you are just extremely short sighted. The government has slowly usurped the responsibility that used to be that of the family, the church, and other private organizations. They have also stolen via taxes a huge portion of the resources that used to help fuel private aid. It has stolen the dignity and independence of the people they purport to help and trapped them in what is now a multi-generational life cycle of poverty and enslavement. You do not help someone rise from poverties depths by giving them just enough to keep them from drowning and tell them the people on the shore are the problem. True help empowers them by teaching them to swim and letting them paddle to shore on their own. Anything else is cruel and abusive.

The incentive to help has been removed, or better yet, replaced by all of the government programs and that has caused those who would have donated time, money or other talents to now say “Let the Feds take care of the people” Jesus said that the poor would always be with us and it should be our personal responsibility to care for them. I think we went over the cliff years ago……Millions of people are totally dependent on the government for basic needs such as food and housing and how uncompassionate we are if we wont bankrupt the country to feed them….So we must get more money from somewhere to buy the food…Once the clowns in Washington raise taxes on the “rich” tomorrow that will solve it lol…….Soon the debt ceiling will be reached once again and the people will be fed but one of these times America will say give me more debt but there will be no funds running to them…how will the people get fed then?

Years ago at the plant where I work, someone stole a bunch of tools from another employees tool box over the weekend. The next day the Manager sent out a memo to all the employees that theft would not be tolerated, etc. The memo started out with these words: “Over the weekend someone literally raped a tool box”. LOL (the tool box probably asked for it)

  Was the tool box dressed provocatively, or did it have too much alcohol prior to the alleged encounter? Maybe it was just playing “hard to get”? Perhaps the manager should have looked into all this before slandering the other person involved….
  
  On a related note, to literally “rape” a tool box sounds incredibly painful and not at all worth it!

  Hungry people? HUNGRY PEOPLE??? Food Stamps have run rampant! The Farm Bill is one of MANY that are being held in limbo. Have YOU ever thought that MAYBE people ought to get off their azzes and work? Not just work, but MAYBE plant a garden? MAYBE PLAN for their OWN family’s food sources???
  There are millions of starving African Children to ‘take care of’. Just as we have-for DECADES OVER AND OVER AGAIN-with NO RESULTS. Just more outstretched hands and THEN DEMANDS to be fed.
  Sorry, gotta go. Time to feed the opposums/raccoons/skunks on my back porch. Cute little buggers. They really ARE cute. Also feed the crows in the morning. Makes me smile every time. {See THEY ARE my garden}.

  Did you ever wonder what’s in the Farm Bill? When the country began passing farm bills, it was supposed to help sustain the “Family Farm” from going out of existance. The Death Tax certainly helped the demise there, nowadays most farm families incorporate to keep the farm if one family member dies. Now their subject to the evil corporate taxes. The biggest expense of the Farm Bill, is the Food Stamp Program (SNAP) A WELFARE PROGRAM! Many politicians families own farms so they collect farm subsidies, meant to sustain family farmers again. Does the farm bill even benefit true farmers? (Lived on a farm for years, I’d have to say very little.)

  I have a small farm, and we do not need a farm bill (hand out).
  I could have received over $7,000.00 for a growing structure from the Government, for free!
  I did not join the crowd of “farmers” who lined up to line their pockets with your tax dollars.

  I inherited a portion of a family farm so I am very familiar with the economics of farming. Farm prices are kept artificially low to keep food prices down and spur farm exports. Government programs account for about 30% of the farm’s income. Under the current structure, the farming operation makes about 1% return on investment.
  
  Farming is an investment in land. The government giveaways have inflated land prices dramatically just as government giveaways inflated real estate prices 10 years ago. The bubble is soon to burst.
  
  My cousins are facing death taxes for the next decade. Next year the inheritance rules give them a $1 million exemption and then the inheritance rate is set at 55%. The IRS has given them 10 years to pay off the death taxes or sell the farm.
  
  This is OPM (other people’s money) so why should anyone care? Someone with a net worth of $200 has little sympathy. The only people with enough money to buy the overpriced land are international agribusinesses and foreigners.

These people are complete and utter hypocrites! Obamacare, when fully implemented, will do far more to take food out of the mouths of children than anything proposed by the GOP ( and i say this as NO fan of the GOP, either ). I have seen it personally. The company that my wife works for has already announced that there will be layoffs because of Obamacare. There are countless other companies that have announced the same thing.

I love that Government Media Matters radio ads. spouting the benefits of free gov’t food. It’s a lady saying that we are your neighbors. She say’s she has two jobs and her husband has one too, but we are struggling with hunger. I’m pretty sure that nobody is trying to take away any of that free cheap chinese formula babies. That stuff is like Obozo free rubbers, today’s sponges, and BC bills free as dirt. If you have three jobs and you and your kids are hungry and taking in the free stuff, then you might as well go straight up Gov’t welfare patient. To this ridiculous Illinois Obamunist Schakowsky. Boob milk is a million times better than that cheap chinese formula give aways the Obozo give to every woman. Free food is here and misinformation is fed to the green horn commies that go to DC too.

  FUBARED, Back in 2000 while I was on the police department I bought a load of them for my SIG P226. Mostly 17 round, but grabbed a few 15 round. About that time I found that Mecgar picked up the contract with SIG to build their mags. Not sure if that was for their European guns, or if it included those manufactured here. I was also issued the same pistol but one manufactured here. My original West German pistol was far more accurate though. Took me a while to get used to the new one. Still fired expert with it, but would drop a round here and there at the range.

  FUBARED, Bought the pistol at the Vaihingen Rod & Gun Club near Stuttgart December ’85. Came with wooden grips, and still have the two original West German made mags and picked up two SIG manufactured 20 rounds mags back here in the states. Have a mag bag full that I can grab if necessary that throw the shoulder strap on. Has six pouches with three on each side that hold three mags each. Large pouch in between has boxed ammo and a cleaning kit, and a large bottle of oil.

Some of the low life was in the store yesterday, fancy fingernails, talking on an “O” phone, fancy colorful hair do, Two little kids in the buggy, and one in the belly. They were eating food while waiting for a sandwich. They spent ten minutes eating and gathered more groceries. Then had the guts to try to walk out without paying their bill. BHO voters!! Your taxes at work!!!!
