New Video Mocks Celebrities’ ‘Demand A Plan’ Gun Control PSA

Many celebrities have spoken out about gun control. Some of the biggest names in Hollywood have even stepped up and offered to use their fame to change the current gun laws. Jennifer Aniston, Jamie Foxx, Will Ferrell, Beyonce, Chris Rock, Steve Carrell, Ellen Degeneres, and others have appeared in a video called “Demand A Plan.”

While it is perfectly acceptable for famous folks to trade on their celebrity status to promote causes they deem to be important, it has also been noted that many of the people in the video have earned fortunes by appearing in movies and TV shows that promote guns and gun violence.

A new video is quick to point out this hypocrisy. The alternative campaign called “Demand A Plan? Demand Celebrities Go **** Themselves!” has surfaced on the web. It uses a combination of clips from the actual “Demand A Plan” video and intercuts it with violent scenes from virtually every single star in the PSA.

For the record, the “Demand A Plan” campaign is an effort from “Mayors Against Illegal Guns” and the San Francisco-based Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence. Both group’s websites host the 1:22 video calling for American citizens to contact their elected officials and demand action on gun laws.

From Demand A Plan’s website, here are their three specific requests regarding gun laws:

Require a criminal background check for every gun sold in America
Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines
Make gun trafficking a federal crime, including real penalties for “straw purchasers”

It should be noted that every state in the union requires a criminal background check when a licensed firearms dealer sells a gun, any gun. The first item on the list seems tied to a push requiring background checks on private gun sales and those made at gun shows.

  It is good not to have a plan, or a budget, or to expose oneself to outside influences. Just go day to day and let the fancy millionaires do all the thinking. We have enough to think about just making sure we do not infect our brains with main stream, lame stream ideas, attitudes and opinions.   I do not spend any money at the movies or renting/buying DVDs of the leftist hollyweird hypocrites. I like what Wayne LaPierre said – armed guards in schools will prevent more school shootings than more gun laws. Case and point – the high school in the town where I work (town of 7,000 people) has a full time police officer who packs a 10mm and is in the school whenever school is in session or there are events at school. He has been in place since the Columbine shootings. There have been no shootings, no attempted shootings, nothing-notta. I say WTH America! WAKE UP!!

  Here is a PLAN that all these Actors & Actresses can adopt:
  1. Do not accept any script in any movie to TV production that shows the use of any Guns!
  2. Withdraw all of your prior support for any TV or film that they were in that had any gun violence.
  3. Return all money from all films or TV productions that had guns in them.
  Now, put your actions where your mouth is Actors, you either really believe in this or you are just jumping on the bandwagon with action less statements to make yourself feel better. Either put UP or SHUT UP! Your choice, just like ours to watch your films and purchase guns.

I know it’s a big commitment in our entertainment-addicted culture, but I urge everyone to stop supporting the Hollywood hypocrites who march in lockstep with our Socialist government. They are the propaganda machine, while continuing to capitalize on the spread of corruption and evil. They seem to speak out of both sides of their mouths but not really, if you think about it. They believe themselves to be among the elite. They believe only THEY should have the guns. Notice Rosie O’Donnell lambasting Walmart for selling guns, and then stuffing her foot in her mouth when she had to admit her bodyguards carry them at all times.
  
  Brutal dictatorships of the past used celebrity and entertainment to indoctrinate the sheep. That has already been going on for a long time here, as well. They are not on our side.

  Mentally unstable and criminal people do not follow GUN LAWS. Case in point shooter at Newtown STOLE his mothers guns. He used a hand gun in shooting the children not the AR 15 which remained in the car. The felon who shot the fireman either stole or acquired the guns from the woman who bought them legally, and may have knowingly turned them over to a felon.
  
  Chicago has the strictest of gun control laws, yet managed to have its 500th murder. The only thing that fights criminals and mental idiots with guns is the GOOD GUYS WITH GUNS. Otherwise, you are a sitting duck if you have no guns.

They think everyone is going to bow down in their presence. I used to ask or tell them to please get the hell out of my way while I was working and they couldn’t stand it.

  I think all federal bans on firearms should have to be reflected in movies and video games by law. No automatic weapons in games or movies, no high capacity magazines and no lethal fantasy weapons to get around the law. Lets see how fast liberals cry foul under the 1st Amendment.

  It is a very simple problem. Every gun should be registered and the owner should be both criminally and civilly liable for any acts that arise from its use. A stolen gun should be reported to the police within 72 hours and all sales should involve a re-registration process similar to that when a car is sold. And nothing in this simple approach infringes on anyone’s second amendment rights. For example, if she were not dead Lanza’s mother should be held liable for the acts that occurred with her guns. There is no rational for her guns to be under lock and key when she is not home, and only one of them needs to be accessible for self defense when she is home.

  How odd is it that these people who have made millions making movies that glorify gun violence and who are able to live in gated communities where they are for the most part shielded from the day to day violence that middle to low income Americans are faced with appear in a video calling for immediate action to end gun violence. Talk about hypocracy. If these actors and the President are serious about ending gun violence they should immediately draft legislation that bans all forms of gun violence in movies and video games. If they are serious about protecting children from being murdered in large numbers they should immediately ban all forms of Abortion. Abortion, gun violence in movies and video games has desensitized our culture to the killing of human beings. Lets be real here for a second, these Hollywood elites get excited about anything that brings attention to themselves and gives them a platform to bring attention to themselves and make them appear to be great humanitarians. If they were sincerely concerned about ending gun violence they would stop appearing in movies that glorify gun violence. I’m sorry if I’m not moved by your self indulgent faux concern, if you truly are sincere, put your money where your mouth is and immediately stop appearing in shooter movies and give all the proceeds from your previous movies depicting gun violence to the families of the Sandy Hook massacre.

  I saw the video yesterday and loved it.Finally someone took the time to showcase a miniscule amount of Hollywood hypocrisy. I hated seeing Jeremy Renner parroting the Left’s message. I thought he was a great replacement in the Bourne films, but now another decent actor has bit the dust for me. I do love his biceps though. I haven’t paid to see anything other than “Restrepo” in the last few years anyway. Such useful idiots in Hollywood, and so well protected with the very arms they want us to turn in for a giftcard.
  Our rights won’t be taken from us, we’ll just give them away freely or for a pre-loaded debit/giftcard.

  Hey Hollywood about 195,000 people die each year from PLASTIC SURGERY related to ASSAULT SURGEONS why are these ( high capacity ) procedures not banned, about 38,000 from MEDICAL DRUG over dose prescribed form ASSAULT PHYSICIANS again ( high capacity ) pill containers not restricted. 650.000 people die from heart disease due to the fake believe food we are forced to eat ( high capacity ) hot dog load out packs. 559,000 due to cancer most likely due to ( high capacity ) doses of chemo vials. Now on the other hand about 28,000 people die from gun related deaths about 18,000 of these deaths were by suicide and most likely by a single shot. 12,000 by homocide and the overwhelming majority of those were in the states with the greatest restrictions on guns. Bloomberg has those ( high capacity ) subway cars yet where is the outcry aginst these life takers. Now I am pro gun rights but I am also pro life and I think it is very sad and tragic that any one would ever use a gun to harm, hurt or take another persons life. But unfortunatly we live in a violent world where people do bad things every day and if you think that by taking guns away from law abiding citizens will stop that, well I would have to say that I am not willing to take that chance and trust in the post gun free America as you actors envision. In closing about 700,000 to 800,000 babys are aborted each year and out government allows this with ( high capacity ) efficiency

  Hollywood can show its support of the anti-American anti-gun movement by banning all gin violence depicted on film. Move over the the SAG unions can force all of it’s member to go on strike if any director attempts to use violent scenes to generate profits. Also all video game companies can be barred from violence as well.   Leave it to Hollywood to make a public service announcement that they, themselves, can’t see how hypocritical they are! I said in a Facebook posting that it is remarkable why anyone pays an ounce of attention to Hollywood: their jobs are to read from a script someone else wrote, someone in wardrobe dresses them, someone in makeup puts on a fake face, someone in hairdo makes them into someone they are not, they take orders from producers and directors, they have servants who do all their house cleaning, lawn care, clean their pools, maintains their cars, takes care of their kids and animals, a publicists who promotes them to the public, a manager/agent who gets them their jobs and negotiates their wages, drivers who get them where they need to go, chefs who cook for them and serves it up, and a planner who organizes their events and lives. Now, tell me what they do for themselves and what do they even have to think about? They are brain dead and if anyone tells them to do something, they don’t have the active brain cells to even know if it is right or wrong!   I honestly don’t get it. I imagine that since they play smart people in movies, at one point it gets to your head and you begin to believe you really are that smart and can make a difference. Often times, though, celebrities are the least educated people in society. They’re artists and some have a ton of telent. But that no amount of money in the world can buy them a clue.

  Hollywierd has been churning out movies and television shows glorifying guns, murder and mayhem for years. Nowadays, these shows get more and more realistic and even more violent than ever. How the people who make their living glorifying violencd on the “Silver Screen” also call for a “Plan” is beyond It is imagination. It is Hollywierd who has instilled and brainwashed the illiterate and the sociopaths into using guns to solve disputes real or imagined.

Holy Wood. LOL Yep they are our saviors. They have more problems in their lives then most of us. Divorce, Drugs, Assault, Stealing, etc. etc.. How many of them have died of drug overdoses.? Hardly ever watch movies. There is always a political joke or theme to sway you to thinking a certain direction. If they think that will work on adults, why do they not think all the crap they make will not corrupt a child’s brain. What a farce. You want to start somewhere about guns, start at the root. Show gun responsibility in your movies. Not you taking on a whole division of bad guys and you wiping them out by yourself with a BB gun. LOL

  I once saw Jennifer Aniston on TV being interviewed with some other guy actor. While I must admit she is beautiful and talented, that night, without a script to read from, she was like a zombie.   You are correct at an absurdly high level! But, who actually listens to these pretenders on any substantive topic. As an example, who would listen to someone like Chelsea Handler, an admitted drunken slut, on who should be President. The question should be why do these people deserve the advantages of free media exposure to espouse their insular, warped world views and personal agendas, when the average hardworking American can’t? I pray no armed gang ever breaks into your home, threatening you & your family, if you have no gun. It is the ones who have no firearms or firearm training who are targetted by armed robbers/murderers. They know the unarmed are vulnerable and cannot defend themselves.
  That is why governments over hundreds of years have tried to take gun rights away from their citizens. They then can exterminate at will, those whom they choose.
