French Youths Torch 1,193 Parked Cars in New Year’s Eve ‘Tradition’

(TheBlaze/AP) — A New Year’s Eve tradition for some in France of torching empty, parked cars has continued into 2013.

Interior Minister Manuel Valls said Tuesday that 1,193 vehicles were burned overnight around the country, where the stunt began in the 1990s.

“In France’s rundown suburbs, it has become as much of a New Year tradition as champagne and fireworks in more affluent neighbourhoods,” the Agence France-Presse writes.

There was no way to compare this figure to recent ones, because the conservative government of former President Nicolas Sarkozy stopped making the numbers public while he was in office. But the rate of burned cars was apparently steady– on Dec. 31, 2009, 1,147 vehicles were burned.

For some, the decision of France’s current Socialist government to resume making public figures of New Year’s Eve’s torched cars is unwise.

Bruno Beschizza, a security chief for Sarkozy’s UMP party, said on iTele TV that publishing the numbers motivates youths to commit such crimes.

But Interior Minister Manuel Valls defended the change.

“Because a problem is hidden, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist,” he remarked.

There were apparently 65,000 police and other emergency workers patrolling the streets on New Year’s Eve, but the criminals still managed to destroy over a thousand vehicles.

      Traditions like this will be coming to America soon. Halloween traditions in Detroit have already made the city look more like Heroshima or Nagasaki after the atomic bombs than the proud city it once was. The reason that Detroit hasn’t suffered from the arson fires that it once had is because now the idiots have burned most everything available. There ain’t much left to torch.

      France is reaping the benefits of allowing unfettered immigration in order to have “cHEAP LABOR”. Americans will soon learn the lesson France is learning. We will soon be paying the same price.

      What this article fails to mention is that the “youths” in question are African, both Black and North African. And the rundown suburbs are only rundown because that’s where the public housing is located. Not many in America remember the days long rioting that occurred some years ago outside Paris by these same “youths” after a few of their people electrocuted themselves while hiding from police in a power sub-station. And like in America, the French Leftists wailed about the poor, disenfranchised youths and the oppressive police force that would dare do something as sinister as trying to apprehend criminals. This only encouraged and emboldened the “youths” to go on a rampage, believing, as the Leftists told them, that they aren’t responsible for their own lot in life due to their ethnicity. What we see from this is that liberalism is truly a mental disorder and no matter where in the world it’s practiced, the same end results are seen.

      These are not French youth.

      We need to question this notion of Multiculturalism and Melting Pot. They are not inevitible and if they continue to be implemented it will result in a genocide of the White race. This is serious stuff and we need to stop and think critically of what is going on and the future implications.

      Finally those pushing this propaganda are more guilty of crimes against humantiy (white race) then the actual 3rd world immigrants. Understand this. Somebody needs to pay for the damage done to us.

      Personally I’m a very angry white man and I just don’t how much more of it I intend to take.

    This by the report is ‘accepted annual tradition.’
    What do insurers say about it?
    The tolerance of pointless destruction…check that, the encouragement of same, while refusing to welcome opposing viewpoints are a key reason the Left is doomed to fail…

    When they vanquish their civilized (and correct) opposition, they will face these ‘youth’ who care not what their ‘tolerant’ view is, only that it’s different. And they’ll set the most exalted members of the Left on fire as easily as these cars…

    A country that gave us enormous help in our fight for independence. Now, an empty shell; living off it’s past. No national pride. Generational decadence. Like the UK, they lost their identity decades ago. How far they have fallen since the 1st Battle of the Marne and Verdun. I don’t think Edith Piaf would be happy right now….

If you’re a creator or an artist, you need to be out there creating your art, filming your movie, singing your song. And if you’re not an artist, you can support and share the work of people who are putting their work out there.

    At one time it was admitted to be mostly children of Muslim immigrants, then obscured as immigrant youths, then disaffected youths, now just “youths” from “less affluent neighborhoods”

    The western world needs to relearn the difference between immigrant and colonist or suffer the pillage from kids who refuse to acclimate and become upstanding citizens of the country they actually want to tear down and replace to be like home but with them on top.

      My solution would be mass deportations of families containing “disaffected youths”. Forensic audits and liquidation of family assets all available to cover damages.

      Any riots, and those rioting and *their* families get deported.

      Keep repeating until those left are those willing to be working citizens living toward the best part of the cultural norms of that country.

      Mil dot – that was not England with a camera on every corner. It was a poorer suburb in France prolly with few cameras. A little ski mask & a shoot shovel shut up would’ve gone a long way to stopping the damages. When a group of rioters who just want to cause damage head out they need to be stopped. If it were my neighborhood I would stop it.
