Whatever Washington Says, Prepare for The Opposite: This Is Chuck Woolery’s New Year’s Resolution

As the Republican-controlled House inches closer toward a vote on an amendment-less version of the Senate’s “fiscal cliff” bill, many conservatives are wondering about the future of the Grand Old Party:

For the wayward and dismayed conservative, former gameshow host and Hollywood conservative Chuck Woolery has a New Year’s resolution: Whatever Washington says it’s going to do, prepare for the opposite.

“My fellow Americans, it’s that time of year again when we wake up disoriented, hung-over, and proclaim our New Year’s resolutions,” the former host said, “promises that we make to ourselves which we have little to no intention of keeping.”

“One of mine is that I will find a third political party to support since we have been abandoned by both — but we all know that I won’t find one,” he adds. “John Boehner will pledge not to allow taxes to rise further, but he’ll ignore that. President Obama will promise transparency in Washington, but he’ll never do it. Nancy Pelosi will promise to lay off the Botox long enough to have a facial expression. That’s not going to happen either.”

“So here’s my one real new year’s resolution: Whatever I hear coming out of Washington that sounds good, I will plan on the opposite happening,” he concludes, “happy New Year.”

    If you have a Job, your probably being taken advantage of. Everyone I know is scared they will be fired for any little thing. Raise? Forget them. The Owner’s of Business are either Cutting Wages or closing down. Everyone knows what is going on. Still we stay Silent! It took Six Million Jews Killed to have anyone do anything. So you need to know your History. That’s getting Impossible for our Children to do.

    We don’t need parties. Washington told us that parties are not the solution, they are the problem. We need honest to goodness, true, genuine, God fearing Patriots to represent the people and protect the Constitution and the people from parties and big government. Parties will not do that. Parties will do exactly what what parties do; take care of themselves and insure their continuance. True Patriots and term limits, and stronger impeachment rules. I will vote for that, but not for a Repubican or Democrat, ever!

    You all do realize that there is noway possiable to get any of them out of office? To prove my point. Ron Paul had a overwhelming following, In all rights he should had been our Republican Canidate. Instead the GoP made up their own rules and didn’t count votes. Bush got all this started with Al gore , which I dislike both. Obama did it with Romeny. You notce Romeny never complained never fought it?
    You cannot inpeach the president. Hell you can’t even get Reid voted out. These people have full control. There is nothing more that you and I could do. None of us are rich enough or have enough legal degress to do anything.
    How many goverment officials have you seen inpreach in the last 10 years?
    These people are going to destroy America and there is nothing we can do. Our land is not our land anymore. Our sons and daughters aren’t ours anymore. (GOVERMENT SCHOOLS). If you teach your kids right from wrong and they let the teach know then you have welfare sitting at your door.
    We will never get our rights back . They have beed takeing away and that is about as far as it gets.
    People blame Obama but I think that is immature. Yes he is a evil man in all aspects. Heck he sold his sole to the elite.

      It’s called a guided democracy. They let us think we have the freedom of the vote, when in reality, they guide our vote to keep/put in office people that will cause no change. They let us have a few of our Tea Party candidates to keep up the illusion. A guided Democracy is the form of government that Indonesia has….funny, huh? Look up the Indonesian Killings of 1965-66…it was still going on in 1967 when Barry got there.

When your President called for a national programme to put a man on the moon and return him safely to this earth, an impossible challenge at that time, you never gave up. When Washington’s troops were starving and freezing to death, you never gave up. When the great depression crushed the heart and sole out of a generation, you never gave up. You had grit. TRUE GRIT.

    And how come when I here of disenfranchisement it never involves the number of non-citizens who vote?

    Unfortunately, our country is a drunk that will not admit the obvious. It will continue to lie, make excuses, blame others and attempt to cover up its addiction to taxing and spending and usurping the rights of the individual until nothing is left. Only when the US hits rock bottom will there be a chance for redemption. Unfortunatley, in the meantime the risk taking small businesses will be destroyed in the process and the promise of freedom and economic propserity will be lost.

    Maybe it’s time for the Tea Party to align with the libertarians and create a viable third party that can challenge the two useless ones. That would be consistent with our founders’ vision.       I can see it happening .. after the election in Nov. … at the next TEA Party meeting we were wondering what to expect .. WE HAD NEW PEOPLE come to the meeting … I see a great deal of growth potential … especially among the young .. who can’t find a job .. and others who are getting hosed.

      I don’t think most stayed home because Romney was a Mormon. I would have stayed home but held my nose and supported Romney because he was better than 0bummer. But, I know a lot of people who stayed home simply because Romney did not show a difference. Playing the nice guy, 0bama is a “nice guy”, showed he couldn’t handle it.       Amen .. that is why I drive an SUV and have my own plan in the event of a hurricane or other disaster .. (I live in Florida) .. would NEVER listen to the government and go to any “shelter” or anywhere else .. even if I have to go back roads .. I will find another way out.
