Leo Terrell Becomes so Furious on Hannity That He Covers His Ears

On Wednesday night, Fox News’ Sean Hannity tackled gun rights, an ever-controversial issue that continues to stand at the forefront of public discussion and debate following the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The popular television and radio host spoke with civil rights attorney Leo Terrell and conservative lawyer Jay Sekulow — two individuals with divergent ideas about how to handle gun ownership.

As the men discussed The Journal News’ recent decision to publish the names and addresses of pistol permit holders in two New York Counties, Terrell became to frustrated by Hannity’s questioning that he literally covered his ears and refused to respond. But before this odd behavior took form, the host asked Terrell, who agreed with the newspaper’s actions, if he believes in privacy rights.

“This information will alert the neighborhood of people who are mentally ill,” the civil rights attorney responded.

From there, the conversation became increasingly-heated, with Terrell raising his voice and attempting to rail against his conservative opponents. Sekulow noted that background checks are required in all 50 states — provisions that sometimes protect against mentally-unstable individuals securing firearms. Rather than protecting lives, Sekulow dismissed Terrell’s claim that publishing the names and addresses is a good idea; instead, he said such action impedes the rights of gun owners.

But it wasn’t until Hannity brought up O.J. Simpson, noting the civil rights attorney’s friendship with the former football player, that Terrell put his hands on his ears and refused to respond to the host. Watch the contentious and awkward situation, below:

Simpson has apparently been a sore spot for Terrell for quite some time. Years ago, when Hannity asked him about the murder chargers that were once waged against the former athlete, Terrell walked off set.

  Brother Winston, if Ron Paul is such a Conservative and great guy, then why did he not show up and vote for the “Fiscal Cliff” bill and why was he not in Washington fighting against this bill? He still is a Senator till the day he retires and still has a responsibility, yet he was absent and stood by and did nothing.   I’ve had personal experience with Leo Terrell, he was representing a disgruntled former employee who falsely alleged racism. Gotta tell you guys, Terrell is a bag of wind and a bully. I pushed back, and he crumbled like a little girl. He absolutely CANNOT handle the truth, he hates himself and as a result, he projects his self-hatred onto everyone else. No matter what, he makes everything about race. I have no respect for this guy, absolutely none. I have no idea why anyone would want to listen to a word out of his mouth.

  There are two reasons why that Japan never tried to invade the West Coast during WW2. First, with only 15% of the materials manufactured during the war going to the Pacific Theater, we kicked their butts at Midway in June of 1942 which put them on the defensive for the rest of the war. Second, our 2nd Amendment of our Constitution.
  The Japanese feared they would take too many casualties from armed Americans added to those our military would take out it would be like emptying a bathtub with a teaspoon.
  I own eight firearms and will gladly let any liberal that has a big enough set to try to take them away from me. It would be the ultimate BYOBB. Bring your own body bags!
  Being a combat Marine takes me out of the “we need to educate or have mandatory classes” crowd.
  I have shot at ranges with local law enforcement officers and can tell you I would feel safe fifty feet away from about 75% of them.
  Guns don’t kill, people kill and when the moronic, glue-sniffing, yellow streak down their backs liberals ever figure that out, we would think they are a little bit smarter.
  Let Civil War 2 come! That way I won’t have to be in some worthless piece of crap country fighting a war with rules for me and not for the enemy.

  It is against the law to have any firearms on school grounds already so why didn’t that law protect the people in Conn.? The only ones who obeyed the laws there ended up being victims. If these new anti-gun laws do not work can we hold those who pass them responsible? Will they give up their security as a sign of good faith? If guns do not detour these individuals then why do cops carry them? Regrettably sometimes in this world you have to deal with crazy people and their desire to murder. I don’t think pleading with these individuals will work for all logic is out the door at that point and forget sympathy for that is something they already lack.

  They try to portray their gun ban by claiming it’s in the public`s safety interest. However it has nothing to do with public safety, it’s about control. If they were really concerned about public safety they’d be after gangsters and working in the communities to educate and reinstate the value of life. Movies and various other forms of entertainment glorify gangsters and killing.
  My son and his friend came to me talking about a movie and how these guys had fought each other. I talked with them about the movie and in a non confrontational manner explained that violence is in no way as portrayed via TV. I went as far to show them pics of what happens during a real fight and it changed their perspective. Our society desensitizes what real violence is.
  If our so called leaders want to ban inanimate objects maybe they should look at the number of murders by blunt objects, vehicles. To ban guns makes about as much sense as banning cars because of vehicle deaths. They have no logical argument. All they have is emotion, fear, agenda and control in mind. None of those items will be imposed upon me, my family or my brothers.

  On that I have to agree, sad as it is with common sense among the nations leadership becoming non-existent to such a degree that when it does actually emerge, people become violent to it as if it were some kind of contagion or ‘alien from space.’
  
  One thing though to watch for, is we are seeing a transition occur in the nation as a whole and on many areas as the old paradigms finish falling away and the new ones are being established one by one, on many areas at the same time.
  
  Those who want to hold onto the old-ways that are of no value, or actually caused harm to people and our culture and society, are becoming hardened to the past as if set in concrete.
  
  Mind you, stuff such as the Constitution, family-values, our freedoms and such are of great value and are worth fighting for and worth preserving. What we need to do, both as individuals and as groups large and small who want to restore these and ensure the steady restoration of freedoms away from the 100 years of progressivism must be the ones to establish the new paradigms.
  
  This is on the family, community, state and federal levels.
  
  We either make or influence these changes for the better, or they will be done for us for good or bad.

Typical Liberal. They don’t have a valid arguement, so they start yelling, or stop listening, in an attempt to silence the side that does. After, their buddies give him a pat on the back and tell him that he is right, and that he did a great job. I read this from a comment yesterday: Liberals- All whine, no spine. Perfect.

Perhaps somebody needs to hand Mr Tyrell a copy of the letter written by Josh Boston, USMC; and his reply to Feinstein, its kind of hard to argue with such concise brilliance.

And, why does Hannity debase himself with guests who can not argue a point…

  Agree about the annoying part of some of his guests, but consider the contrast between solid logic v inane notions, policies, and functional justifications… Personally, am impressed by SHannity’s patience with the outrageously rude guests, both radio and tele.

too bad that little trick doesnt stop criminals from their intentions. If it did the children at Sandy Hook could have saved themselves. Just shows that the gun grabbers have no intentions of facing the realities of crime in america like mature adults,and would rather respond like irrational children.

  One side played off against another which ensured that the political power-holders in the end continued to hold onto power. It happens in more nations than just Russia; it is a phenomena as old as the first systems of governance.

  It is frightening beyond belief. What about the lives of the children in the homes of gun owners who are now in danger from home invasions or burglaries for the the advertised firearms? Or the children in the homes of those who are now advertised as a gun free. How often does this viscous publication update their list to insure accuracy? What about the single mom with small children who just moved into the address listed with gun permit and assumed gun. What does she tell the intruder demanding the guns she doesn’t have? Do the citizens of these areas now have to check the map before moving into any new address? This will not end. Dangerous intimidation pure and simple for gun owners and non gun owners alike.
