Limbaugh on Sale of Current TV to Al-Jazeera: Gore ‘Took the Oil Money as Opposed to the Beck Bucks!’
The sale of Current TV to the Qatar-owned news organization Al-Jazeera has been finalized, failed presidential candidate and massage enthusiast Al Gore announced Tuesday.
But perhaps more notable than the fact that the longtime proponent of “environmental causes” has sold his pet project to a company that relies on oil money is the fact that Current TV actually rebuffed advances made TheBlaze to potentially buy the channel.
TheBlaze was reportedly told by the network that “the legacy of who the network goes to is important to us and we are sensitive to networks not aligned with our point of view,” according to sources familiar with the situation.
“We were not allowed to the table,” Beck said during his radio show Thursday. “He didn’t sell to the highest bidder. He looked for, Who do I ideologically align with?
And you know who’s just loving everything about the sale of Current TV? Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh:

His expertise, they say, extends beyond just economy and climatology (although he’s a high school dropout), he has profound knowledge in the fields of environmental safety, the media, sports and race in sports, climate change, fracking, pollution, forms of government, communism in the UK, the rest of Europe, Canada and just about whatever subject comes into his mind.
He’s an expert on all those subjects. You’re go to guy on what to believe. You’re expert on everything. And you believe what he says. And he makes tons of money because people you believe him and want to hear his view rather than those of scientists or economists or other people who actually have some education on the topics they discuss. You know, people who are unable to evaluate for themselves the information out there, people like you who just want to hear whatever conforms with their ideological beliefs. Nobody want to have to learn all that science or economics stuff when Rush will explain it to you!

I have probably walked by Murdoch’s soon to be home.
In the future you will be able to telly the rich not so much by square footage of floor space, but if they have a home in a building with 3 stories or less. The 1st 2 blocks east of the Forbidden city would certainly qualify. Those buildings are a bit cramped if you have 4 or 5 families living around 1 courtyard. Nothing to write home about, but I assume they will gut them & rewire them.

As soon as they (management of Current) found out it was Glenn, they said “not interested”. He mentioned how much he thought he would probably have to pay for it, and he didn’t want to go into debt or be beholden to anyone in order to get the outlets which is all he was interested in anyway. 40 million homes that Current TV’s market could have tapped, but were actually only viewed by about 40,000…

Posted on January 4, 2013 at 1:00pmChucky116: Last I heard, Rush was self-employed. If Arab oil money comes to him through advertising deals, that’s just capitalism. Are you old enough to drive? If so, and you actually pay for your gas, a certain percentage of your fuel is from Arab oil wells, so you are possibly indirectly supporting Rush to a small extent. Just something to think about, if you can.
